For example, I saw a ladies blouse with cute pink flamingos on it, a baby sleeper with cute sheep on it and some cute dishes with Mr. and Mrs. on them. While the items here are endearing and they have many fun patterns and colors, I think a little bit of Mud Pie in the wardrobe or the home goes a long way. Mud Pie is a chain and the store definitely has that corporate feel to it compared to the other locally owned shops in the Outer Banks Mall.

The two ladies working were very pleasant and helpful with holding my items at the front since I was holding my son while shopping. I could spend hours looking through everything! I feel that the prices vary - they do have name brand items that are pricer (reasonably so) but also offer things for cheap (example - used bibs for 25 cents). They have my favorite swaddle blankets! They also offer rental items (strollers, baby bouncers, high chairs). Maternity clothes are also available. There was no restroom at the store - but they do have a key for a restroom for the plaza. She is all the way on one end, so don't miss this spot. Lot's of cute items and local art to purchase and she was so sweet and helpful. Go support her and pick up something amazing. The other shops had pretty great deals, but I wanted to spotlight that one. There are some food options there too, pizza and burgers so you can grab a drink or something to eat.

The store is mainly packed full of trendy and typical beach souvenirs and clothing but there are some exceptions. I put the stacks of Salt Life, Fish Hippie and Simply Southern tshirts in the trendy/typical category. Some of the nicer items that caught my item were Yeti containers, Southern Tide menswear and Cobian flip flops. In the past I have been a big fan of Farmer's Daughters jewelry but that wasn't very shoppable this time around as it was hard to get to the cases. With the challenges that COVID-19 have created for small businesses I tried to give them a fair shake while vacationing in the Outer Banks for a few weeks but Farmer's Daughter left me disappointed. The store was just as cramped as ever with merchandise spilling over into the aisles. And the employees were less than welcoming. One employee pushed past me, literally, to get back to her restocking task at the jewelry counter. And the employee who rang me up only said four words - "twenty-seven seventy-four."

Like most thrift stores, it is hit or miss but if it's a miss it certainly isn't for a lack of care by the employees to make the store shoppable. The store has clothing for women, kids, and men. There are also housewares, Christmas decorations, books and furniture. The store has an Amadas St. address but is basically on the main thoroughfare of Manteo. The store has its own parking lot and accepts donations. Proceeds support Hotline's mission to provide services for those encountering and escaping from interpersonal/domestic violence.

The store offers men's and women's fashions as well as "Crew Cuts" clothing for children. Overall, the store is very attractive and any time I've been in its been well organized. There is a wide variety of items here from screen print tees to dresses for date night. The outlet is definitely less expensive than the regular, full price store but I didn't feel like I got any bargains here. For example, the shirt I purchased was $52. A similar shirt at the Banana Republic Outlet would probably cost me about $40. Plain gray little girls leggings were about $18 and similar leggings at Gymboree would be about $8. The staff here was very nice. I didn't need too much help but from my limited questions and some conversations I overhead they seemed very customer service oriented. Something I learned on my most recent visit is that you can actually shop the outlet online now. I guess that makes sense since many retailers are looking to capture a new market by offering products at a lower price point and online sales are a must.

Last June, on our anniversary, my hubby and I slipped down to the beach and stopped in, it's been over 50 years now. We bought six items of clothing, and I'm super pleased with all of them. The sweats for me (lovely willow color with a zippered crop top) look great on me, they're soft and wash well. I've worn the black cropped knit sweater many times, it really dresses me up. The hubster got three sweat shirts, and they all fit REALLY well. Not too snug, not too baggy. They look good, feel good, and wash well. We've planned a little day trip to the coast to add more of these quality clothes to our wardrobe.
