I have thought for years that I needed to learn CPR, not just because it's the responsible adult thing to do but also for the sake of my loved ones. So, for my boyfriend's birthday this year I decided to get the two of us certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. We took the class this past weekend. I know it doesn't exactly sound like the "fun" thing to do for someone's birthday but our instructor Kurt made the class not only worthwhile but very amusing. "People will remember so much more of what they are learning if they are enjoying themselves." That is a direct quote from Kurt, our instructor. The process was smooth to sign up. Shawn, the owner answered my emails promptly and courteously. The fee for the class was in the same price range as the other classes I looked up. I chose to go with CPR Florida because they offered weekend classes and the class location was 7 minutes from our house. I would encourage everyone to educate themselves with the simple lifesaving skills of CPR. I would also recommend taking your classes with the very funny but informative Kurt. CPR Florida gets 5 thumbs up from me and my boyfriend. We even received our American Heart Association certification ecards the very same day and they had free snacks and drinks too. Amazing. Thank you CPR Florida! I will be back in a few years for a renewal class.

I took…read morea late afternoon class and was afraid I might get bored and sleepy but this class is far from boring. The class is about 2hrs long with a break in between. He is very fast and efficient with great teaching skills that captures the attention of the audience. I left this BLS CPR Course feeling confident and capable of performing CPR (on adults and infants) and also how to properly use AED. Also, the class is at full capacity and mask isn't mandatory. They supply you with hand sanitizer and wipes to clean down your mannequins. It is very clean and thoroughly kept. Complimentary water and chocolate was provided. I highly recommend this place! Bonus: it's AHA certified!

After driving 40 minutes, we spent about an hour waiting while the class was being set up, followed by another hour of lecture--only to then be told we would not be able to complete certification. As a result, I was not given the opportunity to finish or receive certification. This appears to have been a planning and communication issue, and it resulted in a complete waste of time. I will now need to find another provider and start over. I would recommend confirming capacity, materials, and eligibility in advance before attending.
