Yelp says they close at 10PM. The Lids website says they close at 9PM. I went earlier this week and got there at 8:20PM, rushed there after work. They were already closed. The security guard working the plaza told me they regularly close early. Wish I had known so I wouldn't have wasted my time and effort. read more

Every logo on every Dodger hat was defective in some way and they don't accept returns in store if you ordered on online.

So I had a small issue with the Northridge branch and was informed to call this location and speak to Andy. I explained the issue with my purchase and it being the stores fault not me as a customer. As a customer I can fully understand the policy being my issue however in this case it was not. Andy was not only super professional but very understanding and took the time to listen not simply refuse. Again had the issue have been my fault I would of totally accepted the other stores take. Next time I will take the time to visit Hollywood Highland and speak with Andy. Highly recommend his store and professionalism. Online says they're open till 10pm tried to walk in at 7:50 and they had the door closed and told me I couldn't come in because they close at 8pm (in 10 min) ... I didn't make a fuss but politely told the employee who wouldn't let me in that 8pm is in 10 min and online it said they were open till 10... he still refused entry and didn't apologize or anything. I mean ... pay your people more but also hire people who have customer service skills read more

Manager was incredibly rude and should be fired. Very unprofessional. Highly recommend to avoid this location. Certainly wouldn't recommend purchasing in store here. However, there is 1 very nice and helpful employee who I used to come in and buy from every month and I'd spend a good amount of money when I came in. Consciously, I can't support a manger who treats their customers the way they did me. Even Yelp is saying the store is open right now when she told me they closed at 8pm and it wasn't even 9 when I got there. Their website says 9, Apple Maps says 10. Overall, I think their manager needs to be fired and replaced by someone who can act more professional, less passive aggressive and not take whatever anger that they had pent up throughout the day out on their potential last customer that was about to drop a couple hundred dollars. Your loss Lids. UPDATE: 12 days later and no one from Lids team has bothered to reach out to make anything right after reaching out to their team. Don't waste your time with these people because they will waste yours. I have attempted to visit and call this location numerous times only to receive no answer or arrive, and they have a ''back at _____ time" sign. I made the mistake of waiting the first time, and they were in the back stock room for 35 minutes (the sign said back in 15), laughing and doing I don't know what. Multiple other customers were waiting outside, and we all could hear them. We called, and it just rang and rang. No idea what they were doing back there, but it wasn't taking inventory. The staff was super rude about all of us customers being frustrated. I made my Purchase, provided my email, and left. By the next morning I hadn't received my receipt via email (yes I checked spam folder). I called the next day, maybe 10 times, but no one answered. I came back the day after to request a receipt, and they had a "back at 10pm" sign up. It was 7pm. The store closes at 10. I was astonished. I have filed a formal complaint with corporate. AVOID THIS STORE AND ALL EMPLOYEES AT ALL COSTS. read more

I am a frequent shopper at lids but still a fairly new resident to CA. I purchased a fitted cap for a specific occasion in Vegas back in November but ended up not going so I was left with a fitted that had been sitting in my closet for quite a while. Once I remembered and had a chance to return it I realized that my time frame had passed to return within my 30 days but I saw that there was an option to exchange seeing as the hat had never been worn. I traveled to the Hollywood location that I've been a customer of about 3-4 times before to complete my exchange when I told by an associate that I would not be able to exchange because they did not have the hat that I was returning in stock. Once I was told this I referred back to the receipt which did not specify that the store had to have the exchanged hat in stock in order for me to complete the transaction. So for clarification I asked the associate again. He began to rudely say "YOU CANNOT EXCHANGE IT HERE BECAUSE WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE HAVING ONE HAT IF THAT KIND ON THE SHELF." Now I am a patient man and although the tone escalated unnecessarily I maintained my composure and asked what my other options were. He did refer me to the location in Universal city. As I arrived at Universal city not only did their employee accept the exchange without the same item in stock but I explained to her my experience at the Hollywood location and she laughed in disbelief that they claimed they were unable to complete the transaction for me.
