We have got table tennis bats, balls and few sports wears here and haven't had any complaints so far. Most of the time chains like these set a standard and only thing that can stick out like a sore thumb is customer service. This DICKs doesn't have that problem, luckily.

What an absolutely horrid experience I just had at the old reps fitness supply in Somerville…read more Apparently they just changed owners and are now known as Fitness Superstore... Last Wednesday, I went in there and bought 2 - 25 pound dumbbells and a 35 pound kettle bell. I paid approximately $1.50 a pound. I spoke to someone yesterday and they told me that they would be getting a shipment in there today around 2 PM. So I called a few times today and they said "the truck wasn't there yet" "truck wasn't there yet" and then finally that the truck had arrived at 5 PM and to get there for 6 PM. When I got there, I waited like an hour while being completely ignored. While I was sitting there, I noticed that they had put a price on a wall of $2 a pound... When I walked up to the gentleman and asked him about the 4 - 25 pound dumbbells and the two 2 - 35 pound dumbbells that I was waiting for, he turned around to me and told me that he didn't even have any and when I mentioned the fact of the price he said well "it's supply and demand... ". I'm sorry, that's price gouging. Plus, they probably shouldn't even be open anyway because they are nonessential.... Word-of-mouth is key and they have officially lost a customer.

One example was finding a pair of boxing gloves on the shlef, finding the exact same ones on Amazon for a bit cheaper, showing the person there the price and, bam, walking out paying the lower Amazon price. Now that's the way it should work!

The young man who helped me was Rayan (hoping I spelled his name correctly) He was very kind and helpful but also extremely informative and patient. I have problems getting the right shoes and have many issues with my feet from working on them all day long and I am well into my years of becoming a senior citizen :) I never even heard of a store doing a foot scan to choose the correct shoes. I think I learned more from him than any Podiatrist that I have visited over the years. So happy I decided to stop into your store in North Brunswick and will definitely return and recommend. So hard to find good customer relations anymore, so thank you and a special thank you to 'Rayan!'

Had a great experience at Road Runner Sports purchasing a pair of sneakers after discovering my old…read moresneakers were simply worn out after barely 15 months of use. I've always browsed around here every now and then during lunch, but never bothered to undergo the full experience of doing a fit test and all of the fixins. This time around, I didn't want to mess around so I did the proper routine. Of course, the benefit of coming here on a weekday is that you don't have to wait very long to do the fit test and try on sneakers. With their help, I did finally decide on a sneaker to buy, although it admittedly took me a few extra days to make the purchase. However, the service was spectacular, prompt, and attentive in my eyes. The prices are what you'd expect from a running shoe store. I did splurge a little extra for custom insoles. In the limited time I've begun to wear my new shoes, I've noticed the difference. For me, the decision was easy because I was able to utilize my HSA employer-contributions from my previous job against it. By default, I was enrolled as a VIP member. I probably won't stick around with the membership, but it's good to have it for your initial purchase.
