I will miss the UK so much, but I will not miss this Morrisons. It is always super busy, kids…read morerunning around knocking things off the shelves, people yelling at each other from different aisles... not a fan. It also takes forever to check out, queues everywhere! What it does have going for it... it is conveniently located in the centre of town, there is a car park right outside that has been slightly modified to make entering and exiting easier, the shelves are always stocked (unlike some other stores...ahem), and I know where everything is when I need to get in and get out. They don't change where things are located every week. They have just started carrying some of my favourite things, so I no longer need to trek to other stores for those items. And... their brand of New York Cheesecake (or is it Vanilla Cheesecake... one of those) is really delicious and lovely! It is creamy and has a lovely distinct cheesecake flavour!

I was recently dismayed to discover that Morrisons in Grantham is no longer selling frozen spinach…read more(despite having about 25 varieties of frozen chips!). To me this sums up everything that is wrong with this store. Its variety is lacking and the queues are always horrendous because they never seem to employ enough staff. Compared to another Morrisons store I've visited (Camborne in Cambridgeshire), which has a great selection of fresh produce, this could well be a different supermarket altogether! If you want pies, chips and mushy peas (and waiting in a massive queue for the privilege), you've come to the right place.

If you can handle the annoying announcements they make every 15 or so minutes (at least on weekends) it's a pretty good place to do your weekly shop. It's certainly one of the cheaper places to get your groceries, although you might not find some of the more specialised items you'd get at Sainsbury's (for example, I was looking for paneer cheese to make a certain curry recipe and couldn't find it in Asda). But generally the range is fairly good and you don't get the horrendous queues you'll find at Morrison's. The staff are generally chatty and friendly and there are lots of bargains about.

Hi, i went shopping today at Asda. we went in to get a few bits such as milk, bread etc. I had a…read morevoucher for a new line in Hovis Bread called 'Homebake'. As we got to the self service tills I asked the lady there how I would use the voucher. she looked at the voucher and then looked at the 'Hovis Homebake Granary Rolls' I had got with my voucher which in big blue writing said at the top 'Try New Hovis Homebake for FREE'. At first she said very loudly that we was not entitled to a freebie. I said that we was as that's what the voucher says at the top, look. She then picked up the rolls we had and said,' that's not what your allowed'. I said yes it is as it says that too on the voucher and pointed to it. She throw the rolls back in the basket and proceeded at lighting speed to put in numbers. We thanked her and she strutted off. We shop in asda all the time and have found some issues in the past with rudeness or un helpfulness but never had a place to air my view. Not all staff are bad though, there is some really nice people there like the cigarette counter they are always nice and polite, even when rushed.
