It's a good place to shop by the manager lady is god awful. I remember when she had customer service as a skill. Very nice lady. But I literally just saw her watch a line build up to ten people, the whole time she's small talking the over whelmed cashier about testing his ability to greet customers.. mean while she was nose deep in her phone pretending customers were not inconvenient waiting for the lady with two carts full of crap. The door to the milk is shattered with glass left on the floor, there's food and dirt all over the floor of the entrance. I love Lidl. Before I moved there was one right around the corner from my house, but now it's not so close. Anyway, Mom came to visit and we ran across one while we were headed home from the airport. She wanted a few things so we stopped in. It's just as I remember. I specifically wanted some chili powder as (IMO) they have the best that I've tried. I looked, then asked an employee for assistance who pointed me in the right direction. In the end, they were out. She apologized. We got what we needed and checked out. For some reason my employee loyalty account did not work. So the cashier did something to allow me the store discount. Everybody was helpful! The store was clean and orderly (aside from the goods being stocked). I miss Lidl! read more

I have only ever had great experiences at this location. Today I was in the check out line with Debbie, the cashier. She helped a gentleman in front of me, and while he was grabbing his stuff and leaving, she started spewing racial slurs towards him! While everyone else in line started to protest, she claimed loudly that since she was an "expert" in this area, that her bigoted disrespectful remarks were warranted! She was so rude and unprofessional and not someone I ever want to cross paths with again!!! read more

they are finally open! Today was the grand opening . I wasn't able to get here early in the morning to try to get one of those gift cards but I did make it this evening. I am so excited that they finally brought a Lidl closer to this area. I don't have to go all the way down to Bowie anymore. Very classic store and they had everything I was looking for. All the staff were really happy and willing to help in any way. I was happy to find the lemon cake I recently tried over the weekend for the first time. We finally find it! Lidl is a great place to shop for a basic run, and you will definitely save money by doing so. It's a smaller grocery store compared to others, so you won't find a dozen different options for every product. If you need specialty items or want a specific brand, it's the wrong store for that run. The store is neat and well organized. The produce looks good, and I've never seen expired products on the shelf, so they are effective and monitoring their inventory. The store offers rock bottom prices by using many off label or personal label items, as well as having all employees trained to do all jobs. You'll bag your own groceries, which speeds up the lines. All in all, it's a great place to shop when you need a basic run. read more

My husband and I visited Lidl for the first time today. We went to this location, in Glenburnie, because it was on our way home from errands that we were running. We had no idea what to expect because all we knew is that it was a similar store to Aldi. We love Aldi so we were excited to check this place out. It is very spacious and has a lot to offer. They had a lot of name-brand items, in addition to store brand items. So, the selection is great. Admittedly we did not scour every aisle because it was not a planned trip, but we will definitely be going back. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were doing everything necessary to ensure a safe experience. We will definitely be going back! read more

Overall I enjoy shopping at Lidl. However this location is full of employees that need a major attitude adjustment. I have never experienced a consistent disregard for any type of respect for customers. You say good morning to the employee they act like you don't exist. For my understanding lidl as a company generally takes care of its employees compensation fairly decently so these people should be grateful of the benefits and salary they received for the level of job they have. Unfortunately it seems like leadership is the major problem as one of the employees that requires an attitude adjustment was the so-called manager. If you live in this area I would recommend the Annapolis store over the Glen Burnie store as clearly the employees of the Glen Burnie store don't like customers. read more

I like the layout of this Lidl a lot. Parking is ample and easy to find. The staff is extremely friendly. Checkout lines move quickly. The produce here is really good. Lidl always sells great bakery items, and this location is no exception. I like finding treats, mainly chocolate at affordable prices. This grocery store brand is amazing. read more

Ever since the store opened, I have been wanting to go but never got a chance to. This store location used to be a Burlington Coat Factory and many years before that it was Harundale Mall. Lots of history with that location. I like that they decided to put a grocery store in this area but I'm not bought on the store yet. I had Lidl stores were similar to Aldi, but honestly I prefer to shop at Aldi. Lidl carries many brands that Aldi does - items ranging from bread, meats, milk. The produce section was very sad. Very, very ripe fruits or beat up wilted veggies. Don't get me wrong... I'm not a stickler for non-perfectly shaped fruits or veggies. I just want them to last a bit longer once I buy them. The store carries a bunch of odds and ends items such as socks, kids toys, lotion, shoes, etc. It just wasn't something I was looking for. The store must get a lot of customers because there wasn't any shopping cart inside the store. All of them must have been in the parking lot. One concern for me was the chicken breast packages were all bulging/puffy. The other meats didn't have the puffy packaging appearance. I'm not sure if it's a myth that means the chicken could be spoiled, but I didn't want to risk it. Overall, I would give Lidl another try. read more

Do you like Aldi but wish the name was spelled slightly differently? Welcome to Lidl. The store used to be a burlington coat factory, and Lidl didn't change much except it has no coats and all the same random foods you would find at Aldi. I was hoping for something better, it has been open 1 week and we almost bought a pack of yogurts that had been expired for 2 weeks. Even though it just opened it feels old and kinda musty. Don't expect to get all your groceries here, just the stuff they bought in bulk for that month. You will not find selection or quality but it is slightly cheaper than going to a normal grocery store. I was really hoping they were going to put a Wegmans in that mall. read more

I've been in other Lidl stores and was impressed with them. Unfortunately this store is a disappointment. Far too many empty shelves and coolers. Produce is old and beat up. The odd items in the back of the store look like other locations cleared their old unsold merchandise and sent it here. Sometimes impossible to get past pallets left in aisles. Store looks old and tired not new. Hopefully there will be a management change soon! read more

Bread is great!!! Bakery produces fresh goods daily. Decent produce, frozen section and meats are good. Canned and dry goods are decent. Good prices, ok selection, convenient. You'd be super lucky if it completes all your grocery needs, but definitely has some solid staples at decent prices. read more

I love Lidl but this store is off, the shelves are bare and you have to watch the expiration dates on the milk and eggs. Its clean but seems that the Lidl truck misses it or the manager is not sending in the order correctly. Produce is hit or miss, the bakery is sad barely stocked or with loaves of bread marked down. Check your produce very throughout, bought loose tomatoes and they where split, which I didn't catch and threw out $2.69 in bad tomatoes. If you are thinking about baking a cake, this store has no cake mixes not sure why. The other locations do but not this one, they do have tubs of icing. read more

It's convenient having a store with good prices nearby, and the workers are friendly. But compared to the first week it was open, cleanliness has already started going downhill. Lots of items scattered around, looking like people just took them out of their carts and no one reshelves anything. I was about to buy a pack of the craft soda, until I saw someone had actually drank out of the bottles-yikes! The cart area outside was full of trash. I'll keep going here for now because there are good deals, but it seems like too many stores in this area are either clean and pricey or filthy and a decent value. I live right around the corner from Lidl grocery store on Ritchie Hwy. I know the store closes at 9. It was 857pm and I was met at the door by one ignorant lady yelling we closed we closed. Now she must be new cause I'm in the store 3 or 4 times a week. Well I used to be. It was ridiculous that she is yelling at me. The grocery store market is just as competitive as the car market in Glen Burnie. Apparently this mouth doesn't know that or doesn't care. So instead of being allowed to grab the items I needed for dinner I went over to Mission BBQ and gladly spent my $28 there. Sorry Lidl But I will be going to Food Lion and Harris Teeter for the next 6-8 weeks. Hopefully that gives you time to get rid of the bouncers that stand out front of the store YELLING !! read more

Worse experience. The milk wall was empty, empty boxes everywhere. Waste of time. No much to choose from and whatever they do have expires within 2-3 days. Have been there four times since the store opened. Most of the advertised items were gone, store shelves were bare. Very poorly restocked. I was in there tonight and there was no meat! How do you expect people to come in to shop when you will still have to go to another store to get all the things that were not available. Avoid this store go where they have stocked shelves.
