I like Lidl in general. I like their simple yet varied selections, they've generally a high minimum standard of everything, the stores are not so big they set your pedometer into overdrive and because of all this you can get in and out in no time at all.
But unfortunately the Glasnevin store leaves my blood boiling after every visit. Then I don't go back for ages and then I forget I'd any issues and I go back and on and on like Ariston.
Why? Because the staff are all cranky, always! They act as though you're an inconvenience, they huff and they puff, they make Tesco staff seem like employees of the month. They're not helpful if you need to ask them for anything, you're lucky to receive a response and don't hold your breath waiting for a smile or eye contact at the till.
I'm not saying staff in the other stores are master greeters but Lidl Glasnevin, as my Dad said to me on occasion growing up "smile and give your face a break". read more
