I didn't know this shop existed until I read the previous review, and thought I'd pay a visit last…read morenight. And I'd agree that this is the better of the Asda's in the area, but if you've been to the other one then that isn't saying much. It is a blast from the 80's with municipal swimming pool style exterior, original tiled flooring and my favourite - artexed interior walls. The car park is perfectly adequate if you're driving a Smart car and don't mind it getting kicked in by the chav kids hanging around outside, fully engaged in the business of kicking things in. I'd disagree with the previous review about the range of non-food stuff on offer - a small section of George clothing and a couple of aisles of general household tat, toys, electronics, stationery etc which I found a little disappointing. But apart from all these little foibles, it is a good place to buy groceries. I think it's because everything is more compact, so you don't have to walk so many miles to get from the potatoes to the ice cream, or maybe it's because you don't spend the first hour filling the trolley with the non-food stuff then rush around grabbing anything that you can shove in the fridge, but I came away with loads more food that I normally would. Had to wait a bit at the till despite the shop being half empty, then my receipt wouldn't print which was a pain in the rump as I always check Asda receipts as they've invariably overcharged you for something. The bill was £175, so I'm guessing there were a few overprices there that I couldn't find. But on the whole, it's a good place to go for groceries. Not if you're wanting to spend a couple of hours looking at pretty things, but if you just want a trolley full of grub and don't give a toss about the decor, it's spot on.

The better of the 2 Asda stores in Doncaster.Good layout, wel stocked and competitively…read morepriced.Friendly staff. This sells a wide range of goods - primarily food and drink but also has a large electrical department, music department and particularly good is the large george clothing range - which all offer great value for money. There is a good sized cafe instore and outside there is a large car park. There are also a selection of cash machines here.

This place is good for parking, and is situated on the edge of town centre, its not a huge shop, but…read moreit is very well stoked and always has plenty of offers, mainly selling frozen goods but you can also bet basics such as tins, bread and milk ect, they have really high quality foods here, including items for everyday type meals ,and also more special goods for special occasions, you could practically buy everything for a decent buffet here, and you have a good choice of deserts to. The staff are friendly ,and there is always a few tills running,so you never have to que for very long, you can have your shopping delivered if you want,or if you take it home yourself, they have proper carrier bags that help keep your shopping frozen longer than regular bags I would recommend shopping here if you just want to cook a quick and easy nice tea,or are having a dinner party

Iceland is a frozen foods shop which is very popular in Doncaster. It sells almost exclusively…read moreready made food like chinese, italian, indian and traditional english foods, as well as pizzas, ready to roast joints, party foods (the infamous prawn ring at £3) and cakes. It has a modest selection of non frozen foods, some salad, fridge items, and some household goods like cleaning stuff and kitchen accessories. Price wise it is good but I personally think anyone who lives off Iceland food is living a very unhealthy life - save it for a credit crunch treat.
