It was challenging to find someone who would touch up previous work. Amy was wonderful to coordinate with, took the time to discuss my goals, and was incredibly kind and patient. A few tips for 1st timers: - know your goals and have some shape ideas in mind -they will be super dark for a few days, and you may feel self-conscious, plan accordingly, and have a few favorite hats handy -remember you cannot get them wet for ten days minimum (including showers, sweating, etc.) -they will take a full month to heal -this means they will feel like a sunburn, peel, shed, and look lighter than before at one point for a few days to a week -keep this all in mind if you have dates, special events, and more happening during the time frame

I've been to Masterpiece twice so far, and it's been only a wonderful experience. My lashes haven't looked this good. The main reason I also wanted to try Masterpiece is because they offer Japanese sable, which is lighter and looks a bit more natural. I've been seeing Maya for my lashes, and she's fantastic. The first time was for the Japanese sable, 80 lashes per eye. The second visit was for a refill, but I upgraded to 90 lashes for more volume. They also offer mink lashes. They show you a variety of curls and lengths before application. So far, I'm loving the results. After about 3-4 weeks, the lashes start to naturally fall out. I haven't had any allergic or adverse reactions to my lashes. I really love how light my lashes feel; it's like I don't even have extensions on. There is some maintenance and care involved, but it's pretty low key. I originally just wanted to try the lashes, but now I'm legitimately hooked. I will keep going back to Masterpiece, and I highly recommend Maya. This is a definite recommend if you're considering lash extensions.

Her jelly masks are the selling point for me. The esthetician, Quyen, is one of the most pleasant people I've met in a long time. During COVID, she took all the right precautions to make you feel safe in the space. It's a small space inside of a building located on Kent Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Parking was a bit challenging but you can find something if you give yourself time. There is a bathroom located in a different area of the building. I enjoyed the vibe, very relaxed; the products were good; she uses Botnia skincare, which is all natural, another plus for me! I initially came for a signature, but ended up trying the dermaplaning service. Unfortunately, dermaplaning is not for me; my chin and cheeks broke out. I reached out to the esthetician whom told me that was the skin purging. Well, l "purged" and I hyper-pigmented, and developed ingrown hairs. My chin has not been the same. I do believe this reaction is what has contributed to me not returning. One thing I look into now is whether the esthetician has extensive experience treating melanated skin, that way there is a quick next step to treat.
