I live down here in Orlando, Florida and Hofmann hot dogs are available at Publix and I have seen them at Aldi, as well. My favorite of their hot dog offerings is their Hofmann Natural Casing German Brand Franks. They have a great flavor, mild but well rounded. The natural casing gives the hot dog a good snap as you bite into it. Hofmann makes a great hot dog and this hot dog is a German style pork and beef frankfurter. Price is about along the line with other decent quality hot dogs. They also go on sale at a BOGO (buy one, get one free) on a somewhat regular basis. Not too often, but often enough. Hofmann hot dogs are extremely popular up in upstate New York around the Syracuse, New York area. Again, they are a quality hot dog and once you try them, I think you will like them. There was [5] Mozzarella Sticks, thick and filled with cheese. It came hot off the deep fryer and the Zwiegles red-hot dog was cooked to perfection, not too burnt with just a slight crisp to it. Complimenting the spice was the ketchup with hints of brown sugar sweetness and vinegar. Tim was a pretty cool guy to meet. Proud of his food and pretty chill wearing tie-dye and listening to some Dead tunes. Good heat from the well seasoned sausage was amplified by a nice kick from the mustard. The peppers and onions were nice additions but I think next time I'll just enjoy the sausage and mustard by themselves. The dog was just a Hoffman's fried up on the griddle. Totally fine. Especially compared price wise with local competition. Totalled 8 bucks for an excellent lunch. My mouth is watering writing this review-the sausage is that good.
