Me being quite overwhelmed with 5 kids. Everyone took their time at the Lice Clinic of America faculty in Lakewood. Explained treatment, helped to answer my million questions. I never knew how common lice was, how over the counter product are so toxic and don't actually work. How I was trying to win something I would of never of won. Dr Hao Wang is the best dermatologist that I ever had. He is professional and polite. He is an…read moreexpert dermatologist. He knows his stuff! I have two major examples on how he helped me. First, Dr Wang helped me heal my rosacea. Before I went to Dr. Wang, for years, I had very bad rosacea around my eyes and I looked like a racoon. Other dermatologists gave me steroids to help me, which I found out later that the steroids were actually damaging the skin around my eyes. In 2001, when I first saw Dr. Wang, he immediately explained my rosacea problems. He prescribed the correct medications and said that it would take 6 months to a year to get rid of this rosacea. I put the medication on daily and the rosacea disappeared in about 6 months and has not come back. Second, Dr. Wang discovered that I had skin cancer, two months after I had a skin exam from another dermatologist! What happened. I had to fly to St. Louis to help my mother. My sister told me of an inexpensive dermatologist who would do cosmetic corrections for $100, along with a skin exam. I went to her and got some skin tags and things removed. Two months later, I went to Dr. Wang for my yearly skin exam. He discovered the multiple myeloma, did a biopsy, and later removed it. Dr. Wang's office staff are also great. Very polite and knowledgeable. The billing people are a great bunch also. I would highly recommend Dr. Wang to be your dermatologist.

The woman says it'd take about a week to heal. The day of the appointment , he ran about 15 minutes late. There was a laser machine in the exam room, which I thought was for me. Nope. Just time for an annual checkup today. So know he's seen this ailment three times. I just want it taken care of. Seems the person on the phone thought I was just making fun conversation about a specific skin ailment I had and was asking about healing times, and mentioning a public speaking engagement I had, so I wanted to make sure I had enough time between the procedure and said event. Just making conversation, sis. I. Don't. Know. How. To. Make. It. Any. Clearer. So I have to spend not only more time in making an appointment for the second time, but also pay for yet another visit. Maybe that's their angle. My recommendation, if you're booking for something specific, have the phone person repeat it ALL back to you. Dropped the ball this time.

Back in October 2020, it was my first time going to Visionaire Eyecare and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Making the decision to go to Visionaire Eyecare: I found them through VSP and I liked how they had an online application for new patients. I received a follow-up call the very next day and that they could take me in within the same week which was great. I walked into the office and the staff were super friendly and helpful! They are also very COVID compliant which is great! During the eye exam process, Dr. Wong went above and beyond my expectations by making the process super seamless. Dr. Wong took the time to answer all my questions and provided me with an amazing amount of information I never considered before. He does an amazing job emphasizing the importance of your vision and overall eye health. In March 2021, I got my first frame fitting after getting LASIK (went to a different place to get the procedure done). Both Carol and Marina were super nice and friendly! They were very patient with me and were willing to help me pick out sunglasses for me. I was able to walk out satisfied with my new pair of sunglasses thanks to their guidance. One minor improvement I would like to see is maybe getting an email/text reminder for my upcoming appointment. Other than that, I would highly recommend Visionaire Eyecare!
