The brewery was a cool spot with a chill environment and about 16 options to choose from, they allow for tastings before committing to a drink. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very chill. I had the Sonrisa Mexican lager once with michelada and once without; the michelada wasn't great. I also liked the prickly pear which tasted more like a cider but tasty all the same. My partner had the hibiscus tequila infused sake which was ok but not a real cocktail. I'd return for the Sonrisa when back at the Boulevard marketplace . Progress felt like home and the owners made you feel like you were hanging out in someone's backyard bar. Besides seeing someone piss themselves on a chair I never saw anything negative here. They had amazing michelada beers that were perfect for summertime heat. Progress had the best Dodgers postseason watch parties. They would roll out the big screen and the place would be full of fans cheering. It terrible seeing this progress close. There is going to be a big hole left in South El Monte community.
