Just about every shop had customers and the food court was very busy. It has a good mix variety if shops including bigger well known names and some smaller brands too. Food court offerings although we did not eat anything had some good looking choices too. The value/deals and service both depends on what stores you visit. Some stores we entered we were nicely greeted and others lacked that friendly touch. Overall a mall worth visiting for some buying or browsing.

No signage, so if you aren't familiar with the area, no way you can find the best exit to get you back on 95 or over to middlesex turnpike. Constant traffic jams in the parking lot due to inadequate turning radii. Plus pedestrians have to cross the traffic lanes to get to the stores. I was happy with the store selection but got way too stressed in the parking lot.

Both my dining companion and I remarked on it before we even sat down. The table layout is perfect to my way of the thinking. Then there's the color scheme, red and black--nice. The next thing that got my attention was the waitstaff. Two (young) woman handled the entire room by themselves (with a little help from the owner, but more on that later) and they never missed a beat. Not once did we have to wait for anything. It was like they had ESP. Every time I wanted to catch their attention, BOOM, one of 'em would look my way. This was a long way of saying the were, great, professional, and utterly charming. I can't give short shift to the food. It's what prompted me to write this review. We sampled the menu and had a few appetizers in lieu of a full dinner. They were all some of the best food I've had out in a very long time. We plan to go back soon to have the full dinner experience. Can't wait. Lastly, but certainly not least, the owner. Gracious, proud of his establishment (as he should be), pleasant, and an all around nice guy. He worked the room like the pro that he is. I know this review sounds like the owner wrote it himself. But I assure you I am a real customer. It's just that I was blown away by every aspect of the place. To quote a general from long ago: I shall return! P.S. A shout out to the bartender. He sure makes a mean drink.

What can you say about Northgate Shopping Plaza???…read more Being a Revere Guy, Northgate has always been my go to place for shopping. It was there before all the fancy malls were around. So it has a special place in my heart, or it's just a bad habit acquired over the past 35 years?? Either way Northgate has evolved quite a bit since the 80's. Northgate now houses a lot of stores including 2 supermarkets, a gym, McDonalds, Taco Bell, a few anchor stores and much much more. The parking lot is extremely large with more than enough spots for everyone even on the busiest of shopping days. This is a one stop eat, bank and shop stop. I give Northgate Shopping Plaza a Solid 4 Stars

It's a great mall even though it's all outside now. Worry about parking extensive parking so you might have to walk up along aisle from the other side of the lot, but you'll always have a spot. Lots and lots at this mall it was actually an inside mall anyways check it out. Great place to go.

They even have a driveway that connects both parking lots so I usually exit Kowloons exit rather than Ocean States. After finding a parking spot, you have to check out potted plants, and seasonal goods in front of the building. If you want to purchase some, you have to bring them inside purchase. Once inside the building, it's almost like a maze. There's so many different ways you can go through this building. Suggest you plan to explore. They have something for everybody everybody. Basically they have everything you could possibly think of under one roof. Linens, garden accessories, clothing, food, house, supplies, even rugs. For me, I head right over to the food section. I have a lot of fun here. As a foodie, they have all kinds of different specialty foods mostly from around New England, but some from the world. I enjoy reading packages that I've never seen before some healthy some not. They have some nice healthy organic items mixed in with miscellaneous therapy, sugary salty items. I tend to buy a lot of my canned fish here. They have kippers, herring, tuna and sardines, all in good virgin olive oil water no additives. I stock up on these as they are an excellent value. A few other products that I usually purchase while I'm here I'll be organic pastas made from vegetables. Also some of the tomato sauces and marinades excellent selection available. Be prepared to stand in line as they only have a few clerks one or two open at a time even when the store is busy. Please don't complain because I believe this is what keeps the pricing low. Kudos to Ocean State for self checkouts. I applaud this. As for cleanliness, it's probably a five on a 10 star scale. When you go here, just assume you're shopping in basically a big warehouse. Employee wise the clerks and managers always seem to have a pretty good attitude here I've spoke to a few of them and they seem very nice always polite willing to help the customer. I've only had interaction with them at a cash register, but they all seem pleasant to me. A bonus make sure you sign up for that emails because they have what they call crazy deals. This is huge people. They have special items when you purchase them they give you the same or a dollar value back on a card. if you shop correctly, it's very lucrative for your pocketbook. For example, they have one small area in the back usually has about 10 or 20 items on it. If you get lucky enough and you want to purchase these items every time you spend $10 on these items they give you a gift card for $10.. These are always food items in the back they call it eat for free. Last time I was in the store I got lucky. They had three types of tuna pouches in this section. I was lucky enough that one of them. The only ingredients were tuna, spices, and virgin olive oil. Usually for an ingredient reader like me I don't get lucky on this table, but this time I did. Turned out to be a great day at Ocean State for me as they also had a few will get a soups with great ingredients on the table at the same time. I don't think it's a record however I spent $170 and I left it with an $89 gift card. Good on future purchases and the gift card is good for anything in the entire store. I would say, read the flyer and see what crazy deals are available and make your way over to the eat for free section. Maybe you'll get lucky. ENJOY‼.
