I love Mills 58. I am obsessed with an old mill building. The look, the smell, the ambiance is just…read moreperfect. Mills 58 in Peabody is so fun. There is a coffee shop, a children's event space, plenty of vintage stores, salons, workout studios, a distillery, and more. The coffee is excellent, the vintage shopping is perfect, and I loved the distillery. Their website could be a little better. The building is accessible (ramp entrance and elevators). I had an amazing afternoon exploring Mills 58 and highly recommend visiting.

Both my dining companion and I remarked on it before we even sat down. The table layout is perfect to my way of the thinking. Then there's the color scheme, red and black--nice. The next thing that got my attention was the waitstaff. Two (young) woman handled the entire room by themselves (with a little help from the owner, but more on that later) and they never missed a beat. Not once did we have to wait for anything. It was like they had ESP. Every time I wanted to catch their attention, BOOM, one of 'em would look my way. This was a long way of saying the were, great, professional, and utterly charming. I can't give short shift to the food. It's what prompted me to write this review. We sampled the menu and had a few appetizers in lieu of a full dinner. They were all some of the best food I've had out in a very long time. We plan to go back soon to have the full dinner experience. Can't wait. Lastly, but certainly not least, the owner. Gracious, proud of his establishment (as he should be), pleasant, and an all around nice guy. He worked the room like the pro that he is. I know this review sounds like the owner wrote it himself. But I assure you I am a real customer. It's just that I was blown away by every aspect of the place. To quote a general from long ago: I shall return! P.S. A shout out to the bartender. He sure makes a mean drink.

The Essex street pedestrian mall is the main street in Salem, MA with many shops and attractions…read more In September, I enjoyed walking up and down the street to see the Halloween decorations and checking out the stores. I went into a store called Trolley Depot, which is your first stop for EVERYTHING in Salem. There are visitor info, clothing (hoodies and t-shirts), souvenirs, books, jewelry, great gifts, and collectibles. I came across Witch City Cartoons by Francis Sweeney and purchased one. They also sell water for $1.00. I'm sure you'll come across Essex street pedestrian mall when you walk around Salem, but definitely check it out if you don't.

Perhaps more importantly, done one of the halls are bathrooms that are publicly accessible. They are kind of run down, and aren't vert sanitary, but at least for the guys to do #1, it does the job. The mall itself also isn't very flashy, and most if not all the stores seem tourist trappy, but the main parts of the mall seem clean and lit. All on one level with multiple entrances, I'm sure its probably wall to wall people during the September to October time frame, but the rest of year there's only a handful of people in the mall when I've been there.

Various selections for plushies, socks and some household random things in the store as well. When we walked up to the counter to purchase, it took them a while to acknowledge us even though I made eye contact with some of them a few times. They were really rude when talking to us as we were checking out too. On another note, no where does it say in store, on the receipt nor did anyone tell us that the blind boxes were not able to be returned or exchanged. When I went to return some boxes that were untouched because I already got what I wanted, the girls behind the counter again took time to come assist me as they were gossiping and playing with some of the items behind the counter. The girls were very rude when I asked if I could return the boxes, untouched because I had already gotten what I wanted, she gave a very annoyed "no, we don't do that". When asking about an exchange instead, she said "display only". What I don't understand is half, if not more, of the blind boxes at this location are already ripped open. Not just damaged from shipping, but a lot of the tabs have been ripped open and they were poorly retaped. So have they allowed other people who opened the boxes to return them or are they ripping them open themselves to take what they want? Overall, this year at this store has been very poor experiences. I might just drive up to NH as that location has better options and nicer staff anyways. This store just seems more like a hang out place for the staff to fool around than a place for people to shop.
