I currently have three equines boarded at Liberty Stables and have had a total of 4 animals there over a period of more than three years. I have also had the opportunity to take advantage of the farm's trail horses so that friends, colleagues and family can ride with me if I need an extra horse or two.
I am a longtime horse owner and have both boarded and kept my horses at home over the years. This is the best and most full-service boarding situation that I have had in 15 years. The owners and operators are always friendly and helpful and do lots of extras for me to ensure the comfort and health of all my animals. Currently I have two stall board animals and one field board horse, all are extremely healthy and happy and live in a good environment. The fields are very large and there are only a few horses per pasture, stall board horses go out every day. Horses are grouped by temperment so no horses get picked on badly or get too bossy. There are fun people to ride with and the trails are really great. In three years they have never had a barn-wide illness. The worming program questions have been resolved - my horses always tested negative for parasites and were recently again confimed worm free. I am a believer that ultimately the owner is responsible for the welfare of the horse and I expect the boarding facility to provide food, water, supplements as needed as well as a safe and healthy environment, the rest is my job. Liberty Stables meets and exceeds my needs.
For the trail trail horses, they have safe, kind and healthy horses available for all levels of riders. I personally have ridden half of the horses on the farm and always have a good ride. I can bring out very inexperienced riders, put them on a horse, and have a fun and safe time on the trail. I also have horses that I can ride if one of my horses can't be ridden for some reason. You will find this at no other farm. read more
