Today, My group , DMV Does hosted a group at 10am and 12pm for horseback riding. I've been horseback riding 3 other times on vacation , but this was the best experience riding horses!! My horse name is cheese. The cost is $60 per person. They only accept cash ! The trail of the ride was pretty straight and immediate skill level. Parking is free. Be advised there is no bathroom and there is a porta potty. I found all the cowboys to be very helpful and nice! I would definitely be back! I would recommend this location to anyone!

My family went riding for my birthday and we had a great time. We'll definitely be going again just because. All the people who worked there were great. Nick ride with us and was very personable and kept us entertained.

We brought our 5 year old granddaughter this past weekend to ride ponies. It's $60 for 1 hour or $40 for 30 minutes (cash only). You sign a safety wavier, given simple Instructions and suggestions and a handful of treats to encourage the pony along. Be sure you wear boots or closed in shoes that you won't mind if they get dirty in the dirt, hay and occasional horse/pony droppings. The pony rides are self lead in a small corral. We started with 30 minutes to see how it would go and 30 minutes was just the right amount of time for us and marshmallow...lol

I came here to horseback ride for the first time in almost a decade. The staff was super friendly upon arrival, they let us walk around the property as we waited for the trail guide. They assign you a horse to ride based on your experience which is nice. My horse's name was Slim, he was an easy going horse, he would gallop a bit to catch up to the horse in front of him. The trail ride was beautiful and relaxing, they even stopped and took pictures for you during the ride. I will come again soon.

Loved it so much I had to go again! Staff is friendly and horses are wonderful. For an hour trail ride you get to see a lot of beautiful nature. Horses look healthy and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place. I hope to return soon and see Gus again

...and the ride has come to an end.

I took my nine year old daughter here for her birthday (with my 14 year old son, and he actually enjoyed himself). She had a blast riding on the trail. My daughters' horse "Star" was a very gentle horse, did not give my daughter any problems while riding, and was very docile. My daughter enjoyed the ride so much, she wanted to stay for another hour (another trail ride). Last but not least, prior to her riding on her horse, Mr. Ambrose sang Happy Birthday to her. Which just made her birthday weekend, that much more special! We definitely will be returning to Piscataway Riding Stables, in the very near future. We simply loved it!

Nick, and joe are amazing guides for the trail ride, it's $50 per person. I really enjoyed myself and will come back before it gets super cold. I rode a beginners horse named freckles. The trail is an hour long so you'd be getting your money's worth.

She had never even been on a horse before and was cantering and posting within weeks. Stephanie has the right amount of patience and persuasion to get the students to continually develop as riders. The instructor, Stephanie was wonderful and very patient w/ me (neurotic mother) and my daughter. She leases space at a beautiful farm in Boyds, MD. The horses are beautiful, and clearly well taken care of. Stephanie is very aware of the horses she uses, and is very cautious & careful about safety which is always my biggest concern. She actually had Gracie galloping on her second lesson b/c Gracie saw a more experienced rider and wanted to do the same, so she taught her the basics of posting, had her hold tightly onto the saddle and lead the horse into a controlled gallop, which Gracie loved. I also appreciated Stephanie's honesty when I approached her about her readiness & the benefit of future lessons as I wanted to make sure my daughter would be getting the most out of this as possible. Stephanie is clearly very experienced w/ horses, and instructing people in how to ride them. It's obvious, this is her passion which makes it all the better for anyone fortunate enough to take lessons from her.

I came to LBF feeling intimidated because, although I've grown up riding Western, I'd never ridden English nor tacked a horse, even though I worked at a horse farm during college. LBF insists you tack your horse, get him or her out of the paddock, etc. It's a real experience that teaches you to respect the animals, the sport and joy of riding. Britton is awesome to work with; she's kind and patient but doesn't let you off the hook. She expertly manages to keep your self esteem afloat while forcing you to improve. The farm is a surprise--it sits at the end of a nicer housing development and you'd never know it was there unless you were looking for it. Mark, the owner, is very cool and laid back, trusting of his riders and instructors. There is one arena, there is no indoor riding. It's not the fanciest of farms but that's just perfect for a novice like me who is already feeling a bit unsure. The last thing I need is a group of prisses casting sideways looks my way because I'm unschooled in picking hooves. I highly recommend this farm and Britton in particular. It's a great addition to your life. While it's a bit expensive, compared to other riding clubs and farms it's a steal.

Not simply because he was running late, but because the house (castle/waiting room/party room) was absolutely filthy. I was really taken aback by a business looking like this, even if it's a business that works w/ animals. When we got there, the owner and assistant were on a ride w/ another group. Then the group we were supposed to be riding with were an hour late, so we had to wait for them. It was just annoying, although Steven (owner) was friendly. When we walked into the empty house it looked like a construction space, a hen was walking around the inside and I even saw it poop IN THE KITCHEN! Things finally turned around when I hopped on Sherman (my white horse w/ black spots). He was a greedy little thing and ate up all the grass but he was a great horse. Steven immediately put ppl on the horses and taught us while we were riding. He was a straight to it teacher and I liked that. He definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to animals. He took a bunch of pictures and videos and sent them to everyone in the group. I'm thankful to have such awesome pictures that didn't cost us extra.
