Jen was never available by phone, and her text/email seemed to be filtered by some app that made me think she could disappear at any moment....ie a scam. This is one of the BEST tours I've ever done, and I've done a lot of them!…read more William was friendly, helpful, and overall just a really great guide. We were staying in Solvang so saved $10 per person by meeting at the starting point, Brander Vineyards (vs taking the van from SB), and he sent me info on what time to get there and where to park ahead of time. There was no time wasted on this tour. We got a quick info session on how to use the e-bikes - VERY easy! - and then got started. The 16-ish mile ride was easy on the e-bikes; the one thing I will say is that I'm grateful everyone on our tour chose them because it definitely would have been different if there had been people utilizing regular bikes on the uphill climbs. We stopped for rests and photos several times, including at a mini horse farm! My 17-year-old was with me and when we made our last stop at the lavender farm William grabbed him a lavender lemonade since he obviously couldn't partake in the wine tastings. Great service! Speaking of wine tastings, there were two included, and we also got some great souvenir water bottles with the brand name on them! The lunch - caprese-style sandwiches, side salad, and charcuterie boards - was also awesome. We also had an olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting toward the end, which was a really neat touch :) I can't say enough good things about this tour, especially for the price we paid. I did a tour in Sonoma last year that was more expensive and didn't include any wine tastings at all, and while I had a great time on that tour regardless, this one was above and beyond and I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

A few of my mom friends & I decided to take some time for ourselves & one of them suggested we go wine tasting, the obvious question arises: who will drive? When another mom said, "Let's do the jeep tour", I was like, "I'm no tourist!" (being born & raised in Santa Barbara & living in Ojai for over a decade) definitely the wrong attitude to have, & I am so grateful I was overruled. Our tour was AMAZING! The owner curated the wineries we went to base on a conversation with my friend, four perfect picks, the jeep ride up with our guide/driver Michelle was great, she had lots of history, I swear I learned some things about my hometown area I had never known! Fortunately they did prepare us ladies by recommending hats/scarfs or hair pulled back, I wore & ponytail & tied a scarf around my head & was perfectly fine in the windy jeep, bonus it gave me a great excuse to pull out a scarf I bought in Paris last year (#humblebrag) The wineries were postcard beautiful, the Cloud Climbers people have cultivated great relationships w/ the wineries, you could feel the mutual respect, our included lunch was to die for, I am still thinking about the bread! The wineries offer some amazing clubs & you are able to drink some vintages not available anywhere else, of course we all scooped up our personal favs, Michelle did an incredible job of keeping us on track yet still allowing us to feel free to enjoy each winery at a leisurely pace, never rushed. We were all loving the Cloud Climbers wine glasses included, they all came decorated with cute bead wine charms to keep them straight, mine magically matched my outfit! I especially enjoyed the drives down the dirt paths of the vines & learning about the growing process, it was something I had never considered in wine making & I must add: enjoying the vistas, in the open air jeep, with the warm new Summer wind breezing over your skin, I closed my eyes & felt so grateful for the moment. Being with treasured friends, drinking delicious wine, creating new memories, really just stopping to enjoy the moment, I believe it's the feeling we are craving. Don't miss your opportunity to have a wonderful experience, the Cloud Climbers people are pros in every way. We are already planning our next outing with Cloud Climbers!

if you're able to book cloud climbers, you're going to have a good time…read more I've taken cloud climbers twice previously and had a blast each time. I recently booked for 3 couples, a party of 6 for next weekend Feb 16th for belated V-day celebration. But the other 2 couples couldn't make it so I called today to update the party size to 2 people. Because we were only 2 people, we were told that they couldn't guarantee us a spot since it's not profitable for them to host a tour with only 2 people. He said he'll put me on a list, so if other people book, the tour will continue, if not, tour will be cancelled. I was a little surprised because I had received an e-mail from them that says buy a valentine special for a party of 2 (picture attached). I think it would've been nice to put a note that tours do not run if there is fewer than 4, nice to have but I didn't rate them a 4 instead of 5 star for this since I get it, a business needs to run on a profit. I decided to cancel and explore other options. When I called another tour, they explained that it was their slow season, also mentioned that there's a minimum number of people for them to be profitable, but provided me other options like instead of semi-tour, maybe first book a private tour, which is more expensive, but they'll be happy to lower the price if other people sign up too, or if I'm flexible, there's other days if I wanted the semi-tour. This was where I saw the difference between a 4-star vs 5-star service. And so to my previous statement, if you're able to book cloud climbers, you're going to have a good time. But what sets a 4-star from 5-star was this recent booking experience. 4-star was them politely letting me know they can't service two people. 5-star is letting me know, explaining why, and seeing if there's other options that might work.
