I spent $850 out of pocket on a permit and gas inspection -- required by Lowe's own installer -- on top of $3,000+ for the cooktop, installation, and warranty. After three months, the cooktop finally arrived. Lowe's plumber came to install it, and near the end of the job declared it defective. My original, perfectly working cooktop had already been removed and taken away. I now have no stove at home -- with a 3-year-old child. To make it worse, my warranty started in February and has been running the entire time the product sat uninstalled. I've spoken to multiple managers and supervisors. Not one followed up. If you're considering Lowe's for a major appliance or installation, think twice. The customer service breakdown at every level has been staggering.
