The lodge is pretty small but has many tables to set up camp and get ready. The cafe is pretty good and their catering for parties better. Note: There is no fried foods available. Since this is also a private club they do not serve alcohol HOWEVER it is BYOB which I think is even better. They also will bring in local brewers, wineries and other type of places to sample their products on occasion. In addition they have several events through out the winter season and local artists and bands to perform. The mountain is perfect size for skiers of all levels from their bunny hill to double diamonds. In all 27 hills with 2 ski lifts and a Tbar for the bunny hill. There is never a line for the lifts either and the place is never packed so easy to ski down the uncrowded hills. I highly consider joining club because it is like a second home for many people and families. Lastly although a private club they are open to the public Wed, Thur and Friday.

Number one thing to know about this place..... NO LINES, NO WAITING!!…read more Its not like going to Bristol or Swain where you wait and wait and wait in line ..... Cozy Establishment. We were greeted with some fresh snow on our drive to Hunt Hollow and it made for some great skiing (so my husband says). Hubby certainly enjoyed the slopes while I sat by the fire place and listened to live music. (In case your wondering, I really don't enjoy the cold, AND I value my knees!) Turns out once you pay your dues for this private club its BYO Anything! Beer, wine, booze, crock pots and casseroles of anything. Your options are endless!! Feeling left out?? The local grocery store and liquor store are only 3 miles away! NOTE: They do NOT have a bar. But, they do have a limited kitchen with some breakfast and lunch/dinner items available to you. NOTE 2: They open to the public (wed-friday evening). Check it out!!!

It seems to be Evergreen is best known for seasonal camping (you fancy-pants camper campers types,…read morewith your built on decks with outdoor carpets made to look like well maintained grass), but I'm going to tell you my experience as a cabin renter camper type. Bottom line... IT WAS AWESOME. Elaboration time... We got one of the newer, fully equipped cabins, which came with A/C, running water and flaunted a private full bathroom. The cabin sleeps 6 (we put more people in there but, shhhh!), and was more than accommodating for say, hypothetically speaking, 6 adults and 6 kids with some blow up mattress support (the cabin limit set by the campground is 6). The cabin rate was $200 a day. The cabins have a private room with one queen bed (I think... I sleep on a king bed normally because I'm an American), a loft room with a double (Again, American, and I really have no idea, as I typically have enough room in my giant bed at home to lounge, eat a smorgasbord, practice calligraphy and also sleep), and a set of bunk beds in the common area. The one bad mark I'll award --and this is a mighty stretch-- is that the playground area, which wasn't great to begin with, was conveniently closed due to COVID, but was in shambles anyways. The playground should be upgraded ASAP. (NOTE: Neither Yelp, Inc. nor Jim B. condones in any way, shape or form, the circumventing or breaking of any rule, such as cabin maximum capacity, regardless of how arbitrary a rule may be, and it is the expressed position of Jim B. that every person should respect the order set by the establishment, blindly, and at every cost, no matter what.)

Luxury Cabin Review!…read more We stayed 2 nights in cabin 23A, June 13-15. We were taking a road trip (from Indiana) and during our research came across Letchworth State Park. We really wanted to spend some time hiking there so we set out to find a place to stay. We searched for AirBnB's and hotels, but couldn't really find what we were looking for, then came across Woodstream. We have active boys and this was prefect for our family. The cabin was even better than the website pictures. It had 2 AC units and they cooled very quickly. Our boys loved the bunkbeds with privacy curtain and built in nooks, lights and outlets. They even had their own windows! That was such a fun space for them. We did do some limited cooking and it was equipped with everything we needed. We stopped for s'more supplies on the way there and realized we didn't pack our sticks. We were pleasantly supplies that the cabin had them! There was storage for our luggage and bags under the beds as well as cubby space. The fire ring was so cute and we all loved lounging in the adorondak chairs around the fire. My boys loved playing in the creek. We were too busy at Letchworth and our own site to try out the golf course and pool, but when we checked in there were many people enjoying both. We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!

Saying that this sandwich was tasty would be an understatement. The hand cut fries complimented the Fatboy perfectly. If you're passing through the hamlet of Varysburg you should do yourself a favor and stop by the Varysburg Hotel, not merely for a treat to your taste buds, but for the atmosphere as well. Planning a wedding from over four hours away was incredibly difficult, and I couldn't have done it without their help--having held many weddings at their B&B, Barb and Owen are experts in the field. I cannot recommend the Bristol Views Bed and Breakfast enough, and we look forward to staying there for many years to come.
