Amazing service and food this afternoon at Libby's! We went for pre Valentines day lunch and we were pleasantly surprised as they offered a special Valentines menu with wonderful special options. We had the Thai Salmon and the Macadamia Crusted Chicken. Both were out of this world. Fresh flavorful and beautifully presented. The appetizers were really speaking to me on this day, so my friend and I split the dynamite shrimp, the tuna tataki, and the Maryland mussels. All of these were great choices. The service it wasn't bad, but it left out that warmth welcoming atmosphere you might think you would get at a "neighborhood" restaurant. The hostess stared at us until we told her the number in our party. Not hey how are you all welcome. How many today? Our server was nice and did his job, but didn't go out of the way to make that connection. The owner/manager was the only one that seemed to be into the guest relations. A thing holding us back is the time. Dinner was over two hours. Not a deal breaker, but there was quite a lot of lag time between drinks to food and in between courses Then there is the issue of the windows. This location has large garage door windows. We do enjoy Libby's. We've been there 3 or 4 times - happy hour, lunch and dinner and each time was very good. Service was generally good, but a bit hit or miss sometimes. The menu is great, they have many gluten free items if that's your thing. Again, we've had drinks and appetizers at happy hour, a salad for lunch and full dinner meals. We never had a bad choice there. The inside seating is spacious and not at all crowded. The outside seating is nice a d covered, although it does overlook the parking lot.
