I waited for 4 minutes, then I called back and Monique answered the phone. She said Dr. Pepperell was off Thursday, but could get me in for 8:30 am on Friday, January 23, 2026. I arrived at 8:25 am. There was one person that walked in ahead of me. There was no clipboard available to sign in with. No one greeted me after standing at the window a few minutes so I took a seat. The TV was so incredibly loud and when I was called, I wasn't even sure I was being spoken to TV loud. I was awkwardly given the clipboard, I'm struggling to hear because the TV is to my right. I told the person that I had a new insurance card, last year's card had expired. A few more people came in. They were called back. I took a seat and now the time is approaching 9:00 am. I said may I speak with Monique. She said I am. Okay I have an appointment for 8:30 and a few people that arrived after me have already been seen. She said they are here for the other doctor. She also said my appointment was scheduled for 10:15 am. I said no way is that possible. I specifically repeated 2 times my appointment time on Weds when I was scheduled, and got the person's name (Monique) at that time. She procceded to mock me. I told her no way was I going to wait another hour. She said I would be next. I paid my co-pay 124. Monique took me back to suite #3. She made sure to turn around and give me an aggressive look and stare. I returned in kind. I went back and got my vitals checked. I then heard the doctor pop in with another patient. the time is now 9:30. I got up to leave. I went to the front desk and asked for my co-pay to be refunded. I said I am leaving a review today... Monique said why "because of the color of my skin." I said are you kidding me? My husband is Puerto Rican and Black. Unbelievable. My husband sees Dr. Ann B, he likes her. He does say the back office staff are nice, the front people make you feel like an imposition, Like you are interrupting their phone time. guess I will be finding another PCP. My knee is still swollen. Now it's impossible to get out due to the severe weather.

I have had this same condition for multiple years, and at every other practice I've ever been to, I was prescribed a full year of medication without unnecessary follow-ups. Never in my medical history have I been required to return every three months for something this routine. This felt less about patient care and more about keeping patients on recurring billing cycles. Additionally, my in-room experience with Veronica Dilworth was honestly just okay at best, in fact, very mediocre and nothing that would make me want to continue care with her anyway. There was nothing exceptional or confidence-inspiring about the interaction - something you'd like to see in medicine. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated issue. There have been multiple billing-related incidents over the years that strongly suggest unethical billing at this practice. Another major red flag: constant staff turnover. In over five years as a patient, I have never once seen the same doctor or practitioner consistently. Providers rotate frequently--either they leave, or just move out. That alone raises serious concerns. When no physician seems willing to stay long-term, it makes you wonder what's going on internally. Between unnecessary visits, questionable billing behavior, and nonstop provider turnover, I've completely lost trust in this practice. BEWARE. Take your business elsewhere. You'll likely receive better continuity of care--and more importantly your wallet will thank you.

Also, I was informed most of her appointments are taken by the PA who has "been with them for several years" and "does everything the doctor does." This is "their normal practice" apparently. I've never heard of such a thing. I asked if it was considered a "doctor's visit" if it was with the PA, and was informed that yes, yes it is. Huh? So why isn't the PA the MD then? Because the PA is *not* an MD... why are we paying a premium for a PA visit? I've visited multiple doc offices before and have had the pleasure of working with their PA's, but NEVER before working directly with the MD/specialist first and certainly throughout my care.
