Instead of parking responsibly near their job site, they repeatedly block neighbors' driveways--sometimes up to five trucks at once. They leave junk scattered all over the neighborhood and have blocked elderly and disabled neighbors from reasonable access to their homes. When asked politely to move their vehicles, they respond with mockery rather than respect. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before hiring this company.

A roofer recommended by my insurance agent said the roof was damaged but insufficient evidence it was due to hail damage. I had Brian look and he recommended filing the claim. The claim was approved without any problem. Brian's price was very reasonable. Easy to work with. No contract required until the insurance company approved the work. The work was done within three weeks of the claim being filed. He used Owens Corning shingles. Roof looks nice. It has been through two rainstorms, no leaks. I checked with the city and the roof passed inspection, no issues. All in all I am very satisfied with the work and the process, and highly recommend Mile High Roofing Services. Posting this review I saw there is company with a similar name called Mile High Roofing Inc. located in Arvada, that is not the company I used. Mile High Roofing Services in Westminster is the company that I used and am reviewing.

Throughout my roof replacement after last year's hailstorm in Weld County, Don behaved like a predator. While touting his successful career and his deserved trust: Don did NOT enumerate the insurance adjustment items in his bid or his invoice (for shingles only); Don flailed after two town inspectors FAILED the roof claiming "they don't know what they were doing"; Don called for the town official to personally inspect the roof and change it to PASS so I would write his last check; Don talked the town official into a PASS for the roof with a quick glance and without stepping foot on the roof; Don did NOT replace numerous items on the insurance adjustor's list (before and after pictures from the same adjustor prove this); Don refused to take responsibility for damage to my siding and dangerous reattachment of heating hire; Don replaced gutter guards with four-inch gaps and random exposed nails; Don subcontracted the entire job to a secondary roofer the day after he did his last walk-over and learned it was an abominable installation; with this questionable subcontractor, Don absolved himself of any responsibility after two expert roofers assessed the roof as one of the worst jobs they'd ever seen and needing complete re-installation; Don offended me with condescending rebuffs to my questions; Don lied and gaslighted that this was clearly "his" roof and if I allowed anyone else on my roof, he would not be liable for any damage found. He walked with over $30,000 of my insurance payment leaving a damaged roof and an emotional nightmare for an elderly woman who lives alone and who made the worst contractual decision of her life.

We had Bunn & Sons do a major addition to our house... a main-floor mother-in-law suite including a…read morehandicapped accessible bathroom and walk-in closet as well as a reconfiguration of our garage to keep the 3-car capability. It was a very good experience. The Bunn & Sons crew is very cleanly. They clean up every day. We were given progress pictures every day. The online project schedule (5 months) was kept current, and while some things moved around a bit, as should be expected, the end date actually moved in. Creating a plan, a detailed plan for such a large project takes a great deal of work. It did not come free, but in our view, the old adage of "You get what you pay for" holds true. We wanted confidence in the estimate that was provided, and that is exactly what we got. This was a huge project for us, and we could not have Bunn & Sons coming back telling us that framing, plumbing, flooring, roofing, demolition, foundation concrete, electrical, etc would cost more than they estimated. The project was completed on budget, a week early and with excellent quality, and it looks like it was always part of the house rather than an addition that sticks out like a sore thumb. Concept and Design: We worked closely with John and his architect, describing what we liked about our former home and our future needs. Our goals included: - A home designed for "aging in place" -- one-level living with wider doors, halls, and shower entrances. - A modern design that still blends with the environment and preserves mountain views. - Features that balanced personal needs with future marketability. - Staying within our financial and insurance limits. Sopris delivered a design that met all these priorities, adding thoughtful features we hadn't considered. Preconstruction: Before building started, we selected everything -- appliances, flooring, fixtures, paint, etc. -- through Sopris's recommended vendors. This process ensured an accurate cost estimate, addressed supply chain concerns, and kept the project on schedule. The vendors were professional, offered great selections, and coordinated seamlessly (e.g., cabinet makers accounted for appliance sizes). Construction: Sopris's subcontractors and craftsmen were top-notch -- professional, skilled, and focused on quality. We especially appreciated having a dedicated project manager. Weekly on-site meetings kept us informed and allowed thoughtful adjustments (e.g., adding stair lights, extra outlets, etc.). Timing and Costs: Unlike some builder horror stories, our experience with Sopris was remarkably smooth. Many of our neighbors were told 15-24 months to completion by other builders; Sopris estimated 12 months and completed our home in 13. This was thanks to their planning, vendor relationships, and scheduling. Final costs came in under the original estimate, with minimal changes needed thanks to thorough up-front work. Insurance Support: Sopris's professional record-keeping and understanding of codes were invaluable in insurance matters. For instance, they successfully advocated for coverage of solar panels under our Ordinance and Law provision when initially denied. Sopris was more than a builder -- they were our advocate. One Year Later: We love our home. Any minor issues were promptly resolved. The two men they sent were very kind and professional. They were very quick and did great work. They added extra support and got the counter top very secure in no time. They explained very clearly what we needed to do for the next 12 hours to make sure everything dries correctly and left information on caring for granite counter tops as well as suggestions for sealants to protect the granite. They were wonderful and we will definitely use them in the future for any needs!
