LGCY is a Scam In 2022 a salesman of LGCY Solar Panels came and presented to my wife and I the idea of purchasing solar panels through his company. He told us several things that he said would benefit us by getting the panels. He told us that within a year we would have no electric bill and that the only money that we would be paying would be for the loan we took out for the panel. He also told us that when we sold our house that the new owner would take over the loan for whatever we had left over to pay. Neither of those things have been true. Two years after we have purchased the panels we still have an eclectic bill as well as the loan payment. In fact we were told by another LGCY representative that we didn't have enough panels for us to get our electric bill fully covered (he also tried to get us to buy more panels). The first salesman also forgot to tell us that with the ONCOR "Electric Delivery Charges" the credit we would receive would be basically wiped out and therefore any benefit the panels would give us is gone. In regards to our loan being taken over if we were to sell our house it seems that was a lie as well. From what my wife and I have seen, if we sell our house we would either have to 1. Keep paying the loan or 2. Include the loan in the price of the house in order to pay it off. My wife and I feel that LGCY Solar Panels were not completely up front and essentially lied in order to get us to buy the panels. This company is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. Very incompetent, they are all liars no matter who you talk to (if it is that you can even get anyone to respond to you) they installed 68 panels on our manufactured home knowing that it could not withstand all the weight and did not advise us nor did they stop the installment when we voiced our concerns. All the weight cause for windows to shatter, cracks in several areas of our ceiling, water damage in the ceilings as well as mold to develops in several areas, etc.... I've tried contacting via text or phone call since October 29, 2022 the rep who got us into this, Chris other reps such as Caleb Brown, Connor Gibb, their ops manager, Ryan Freeman, Christy Angel, Isaac, and Don Dufour. The only person who's been honest, helpful and kind has been Isaac, all the others are lying, 2 faced, money interested people who only give fake promises and never return calls or messages. Thanks to their incompetence and constant mistakes (which they have constantly admitted to making and swear they will replace/repair no matter the cost) we fear to not be able to live in our home as the damages keep getting worse and now 3 children and 3 disabled/immunocompromised adults in the home may be suffering from health complications due to TOXIC MOLD EXPOSURE!!!! WARNING!!! DO NOT USE LGCY POWER. I purchased a solar system from this company, and it was installed in late August 2022. Since then, the company has been giving me the runaround about when the city will be available to complete the final inspection which will allow me to start using my solar system. Countless representatives have told me that the final paperwork for the city inspection had been filed and they were waiting for the city. As you may have guessed when I went to the city inspection office today December 30th, 4 months after installation now, they notified me that LGCY Power had not filed any such paperwork. Speaking to one of the reps he tried to tell me that another employee associated with my project had submitted the paperwork "3 days ago" however when confronted with the information that I had already spoken to the inspection office he proceeded to try and tell me that the reason the request was taking so long was because they go through a company named AHJ. When I pressed the representative further about information about the company, he tried to say that it stood for Authority Housing Jurisdiction and admitted he was only referring the city inspection office and not an actual private company for which he could provide contact information for. I called the city inspector to confirm if there was any such other city department that existed that may be impeding the inspection process and they said there was not any such department that existed or other office that I needed to be in touch with. Now is the second month I have had to pay 2 bills, one for my electric and one for a solar system I'm not allowed to use. When I purchased the system, back in August I may remind you, I was told that the transition would be seamless and that there would even be a period where I wouldn't have to pay the electric bill as they would buy me out of our contract and switch me to another electric company. Of course, this has also not happened and will be going into the new year paying 2 bills. None of the representatives would give me a direct line to the Dallas/FT. Worth office as when I call the local number it just forwards me to corporate customer support. The city has informed me that I need to file a complaint with the (TDLR) Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation to file a complaint which I will be doing. I was able to contact a branch manager about the situation and was told they only have one electrician that does final inspections which is required when the city comes to inspect, and they have not had the time apparently to send in our request in the last 4 months. After being pressed about the situation and finally learning the truth the manager has said they pulled some string to get our final inspection done on Jan 6th. Regardless of whether this will happen, which I doubt, they have not lived up to their verbal or written promises and contract. Their representatives also promised me $1k as well when the system becomes active whenever that may be and for which I have proof in messages. I will be looking into any legal recourse that I can take as well to ensure the company will cease lying to consumers. If anyone directly knows any legal office that would be willing to assist don't hesitate to post their information and I will contact them. I am a 100% disabled veteran, and I bought this system at full price without tax credits because I don't qualify as I am unable to work. Do not use this company to purchase solar.
