Nasi Kuning (vegan), Tofu mi goreng and roti
    Wendy G.

Pros -Mi goreng (medium spicy) was very good, with a huge portion size and hitting all the right tangy - spicy - sweet notes -Vegan Nasi Kuning was beautifully presented and allowed me to try numerous small components. The yellow rice topping was delicious and I liked the spicy, savory notes of the bailado tofu -Roti had good flavor and texture Cons -Both Yelp and delivery sites show Lezat open during lunch hours but today my lunch order was canceled at the last minute after GrubHub driver already arrived due to "Business Closed until 4:45 pm. " so I held out until dinner. -The curry dip accompanying the roti was thin and lacked flavor -The Nasi Kuning components weren't as tasty as a whole as I expected. Would order dinner delivery again, but stick with the Mi goreng and roti (accompanied by my own homemade dip)

Wow!!!! What a GREAT FIND! While vacationing in SD, I missed indonesian food, so I looked up to see if SD has indonesian restaurant, and I found Lezat! I called to pre-order my food, the lady told me the time to pick.it up. They do t have a restaurant, it's a Shared kitchen warehouse looking place that house several other "food businesses". You can order your food online (or call ahead) OR head there and they have tablets at the lobby for you to place food order, typical wait time is about 15 minutes. I ordered nasi kuning (yellow rice) with beef rendang, grilled chicken plate with coconut rice (i asked for this instead of regular rice), chicken satay, perkedel (fried mashed potatoes) and martabak telur (fried pastries filled with eggs and gree onion). I have to say as an indonesian, the food here is legit!!! So so so good and perfectly seasoned. The Portion is generous too! Service was top notch and she was perfectly on time! Told me to come at 1245 and exactly at 1245 she texted me saying food is ready and I could meet her up front. Loveeeee it! Check it out if you want to try good authentic and affordable indonesian food without having to fly to indonesia!

Omg Tini ! The food was amazing, everyone loved it. My dog even ate some. Everyone took food home with them. Great service, super easy to order. This meal definitely set the ambience for our family gathering. We will definitely be reordering. Thank you so much. Hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving!

If you're looking for REAL Indonesian food in San Diego, look no further than Lezat Kitchen! This place is an absolute hidden gem, bringing the true essence of Indonesian home cooking with flavors that are bold, authentic, and nearly impossible to find in California. If you're Indonesian and miss home, this will instantly take you back. If you've never had Indonesian food, this is the perfect place to start! The Food - Authentic, Flavorful, and Just Like Home Nasi Kuning - This fragrant yellow rice dish is a classic in Indonesian cuisine. The one at Lezat Kitchen is well-balanced, though slightly milder than the traditional version. It's fluffy, aromatic, and pairs beautifully with the side dishes. A comforting staple that reminds me of home! Rendang - THE STAR OF THE SHOW. If you haven't tried rendang before, it's a slow-cooked beef dish braised in coconut milk and an aromatic blend of spices until it becomes tender, rich, and packed with umami. I've tried many rendang dishes across the U.S., and people often praise the ones in LA, but trust me--this one is SO much better! The spices, the texture, the deep caramelization--it tastes exactly like the rendang you'd get in Indonesia. It's rare to find this level of authenticity! Telor Balado - A comforting, homey dish of fried eggs coated in spicy sambal balado. The sambal here has a unique, refreshing twist, giving it a perfect balance of heat and tanginess. They also serve Sambal Ijo, another type of sambal made from green chilies, which is incredibly flavorful and adds the perfect kick! Urap - A traditional Javanese vegetable dish with grated coconut, making it light, fresh, and packed with flavor. The coconut and spices blend beautifully, giving that true authentic Indonesian taste. Kale Soup - This dish instantly reminded me of Sayur Lodeh, a comforting Indonesian vegetable soup made with coconut milk. Even though they use kale, the broth and flavors perfectly replicate the taste of home. It's warm, nourishing, and has that signature Indonesian spice kick. Ayam Penyet - Insanely crispy, juicy, and absolutely delicious. If you've had real Indonesian ayam penyet, you know the standard is HIGH--and this one does not disappoint! The chicken is perfectly smashed, well-seasoned, and fried to crispy perfection. The sambal is excellent, though slightly less spicy than the ones you'd find in Indonesia (which makes sense since not everyone here can handle extreme heat like Indonesians can ). But trust me, it's still SO good! Chicken Satay - Another standout dish! The satay here tastes just like the Sate Abang-Abang (street-style chicken satay) that you'd find on the streets of Jakarta. Unlike the more refined Sate Khas Senayan, this version is grilled to smoky perfection, served with rich peanut sauce, and brings that nostalgic, comforting taste. If you're a fan of satay, you HAVE to try this! And the best part? Tante Tini, the owner, is one of the kindest, most humble people you'll ever meet. She puts so much love and passion into every dish, and you can truly taste it in the food.

Nasi Kuning with urap is so delish! The urap is tasty

Slightly late on review of this great Indonesian food served from a ghost kitchen in San Diego - quick and so convenient. Food was authentic, delicious and the service from Tini was exceptional! They will text you once food is ready and there's bench seating on lawn in front. Recommend to try their food!

The food is delicious!! I had to comeback. The parking suck!! Too many cars double/ triple park. Service is excellent!! We order online and pick it up! The place is nice. There's some seat in the lawn but they blocked off the handicapped parking. I can't walk due to a leg injury so I drag my daughter to get the food for me, lol. The food is made to order so please be patient and they are pretty nice when you call to get eta on your food! Will continue coming back for more!!

Ordering online is easy and quick. The food was ready in less than 1 hour. Parking on the street is very limited when I went. Pick up is also easy. I got notification on my phone to open the locker. Food are so delicious. Very authentic Indonesian food made by a lady with superb culinary expertise. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Indonesian taste.

    Rendang, egg yellow rice.

Although I didn't care for the ordering process and the longer than indicated wait times, the food is legit! Finally some great Indonesian food in San Diego. The rendang is soooooo good. Yummy.

Amazing authentic Indonesian food that really made my trip to San Diego so much more exciting. Thank you Lezat for doing a great service in creating a delicious and satisfying dish that reminded me of home.

First time trying this Indonesian food place & we will be coming back to try the rest of their menu. We enjoyed all the items we bought (nasi kuning, nasi goreng, kwetiauw goreng) especially the roti paratha with curry dipping sauce. The place is clean & orderly. Ordering online is more convenient & fastest. They will text you when your food is ready. Or you can wait inside your car. Street parking only.

Finally! Amazing authentic Indonesian food in San Diego. This place will definitely be my go to place when I crave for indo food.

What exactly is the seating situation? Most reviews infer take it to go but I live 20+ miles away.

There is a small patio with several picnics tables where you can eat. Note that the area isn't the most scenic but the food makes up for it!!

On this last visit, we had the chance to meet the owner and chef, and they, along with the entire staff, were incredibly kind and attentive. It was my first time dining at the bar counter, and the experience was just as lovely as ever. We ordered some of our go-to favorites, but also tried a few new dishes like the beef tartare, which was fantastic. The chef's special with green mussels and spicy coconut curry both looked amazing and tasted even better. We finished with a dessert that was light and perfectly balanced between tart and sweet. As always, an incredible experience--we'll definitely be back again soon.

Nearly everything we tried was bursting with flavor, well-deserving of the Michelin Bib Gourmand designation the restaurant has earned the past five years. The food is served family style, and the cocktail menu is unique. Conveniently, there is also a good amount of street parking around the restaurant, even on bustling weekends. To start, I had the black rose, an agave wine cocktail with black sesame, rose orgeat, and egg white. I'm not sure the blend of flavors worked, but it was certainly unique. We also tried the gypsy king (their version of a spicy margarita) and the pandan, lime, and coconut mocktail, both of which were decent. For the small plates, we agreed that the charred eggplant and sea bream ceviche were stellar. The sambal shined with the eggplant, and the cassava chips paired perfectly with the makrut lime and coconut cream in the ceviche. The roti was just alright - nothing to write home about. The pork belly skewers were juicy and well-flavored, although we had finished all our small and large plates by the time the skewers came out (we had to ask about them - the waiters/kitchen likely forgot about our skewers, as multiple tables seated after us received theirs before we did). The ayam penyet, nasi goreng, and beef rendang were delicious and well thought-out dishes. We agreed that while the menu is heavily Indonesian-inspired and the food features the flavors of Southeast Asia, the dishes are quite Americanized. Dija Mara shines in presenting a typically uncommon cuisine in the U.S. in an easily accessible manner, which is laudable. Would recommend everyone try at least once.
