I will not and cannot recommend this practice to anyone. I am $9,000 (and increasing) in debt due to my surgery, which 1) made my scar look worse than before, and 2) put me in more pain than ever. In short, I expelled the suture. For the following 1.5 months after the surgery, I was pulling out pieces of hard plastic-like bits from my scar almost every day -- it was very graphic and painful. When I went to the doctor, he told me this happens and agreed that my scar looked wider than before. So he treated me with a V-beam laser and began charging me $500 per session after the initial trial session. He said I would need at least three sessions ($1,500), followed by three more sessions of microneedling and PRP ($1,500). You can do the math. Just keep in mind that all of these costs are 1) out-of-pocket, and 2) on top of the $9,000 surgery fee. Also, keep in mind that the 95% success rate he advertises is contingent on 1) a treatment called PRP, and 2) a radiotherapy treatment that has a 50% chance of leaving a **permanent** mark around the treated area (larger than the actual scar). He also informed me there's no treatment available to address such post-radiotherapy discoloration. I also witnessed the disorganization of the office and record-keeping system (since pre-op), as well as the lack of communication among the staff. From the quality of their self-developed creams (check Amazon reviews) to the difficulty of reaching the doctor post-surgery - in hindsight, there were so many signs that could have prevented me from going forward. My overall experience with Dr. Jones was increasingly disappointing and, in many ways, saddening. As a POC prone to keloids, I truly thought I had found a place and community to discuss and treat what bothers me so deeply. I went in with that mindset and came out with $9,000+ debt and a scar worse than before. I hope my story can help someone else. If you are reading reviews already, you'll see I am not the only case. TERRIBLE, I WAS SCHEDULED for surgery, they canceled twice. It was a basic surgery I would have been able to go home the same day. Even after they cancelled they did not reschedule me after numerous attempts. When I tried to request a refund the process is to leave a voicemail. After several attempts no one called me back. I still have not been refunded. Please do not even consider any services offered here. The practices are predatory and the owners only care about making appointments and collecting money. Not actually following through on the procedures. I am still trying to obtain a refund since I have never heard back or received a call to even follow up. It is really sad because I would have liked to have supported them as a Black owned business but they are the essence of the definition of a lack of professionalism. I dodged a bullet by reading the reviews which consistently being hung up on and ignored by Dee Garcia, who I had My consultation with. We were supposed to be scheduling My surgery but the lack of professionalism and promptness made that impossible. When I was in the lobby awaiting My consultation, I had to fill out a ton of paperwork, much more than necessary for a consultation. Although I completed the forms before My appointment was set to begin, I still had to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room as I watched the staff (including the lady who was set to do My consultation) chat it up and laugh about gossip. When I finally got into the tiny office space where I was expected to merely lift My shirt up to expose My breasts in a non-clinical office to a non-medical worker, I was given some illegitimate feedback by the worker followed by a disclaimer stating that she really isn't sure and I'd have to re-consult the surgeon AFTER I booked my surgery. So I'm supposed to schedule to have a surgical procedure performed on behalf of the word of someone who self-claimed that they don't know what they're talking about, just to meet to surgeon to confirm that that's what needs to be done. What a joke! I get consultation elsewhere and it was much more professional and even more affordable than this joke. Save your time, money and patience by going somewhere else! This place is clearly hungry for cash because they have poor business skills and rely on stealthy tactics to get what money they can Pictured is the card I was given, displaying all of the numbers that I was unable to get through to. I normally don't do this but I just have too much to say about this place. Save yourself and your money, PLEASE do NOT come here. I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I wanted to get a keloid removed and saw the advertising for Dr. Jones and naturally became a victim of their lies. I scheduled a consultation, was told I'd have to pay $2500 out of pocket for the procedure. After some thought, I decided I was ready to book and tried calling SEVERAL times and left voicemails. No one ever got back to me and it took one nasty voicemail on my part for them to even give me a call back. I booked nonetheless and paid. I was confused for a different patient, scheduled for wrong appointments, and to ice the cake- they booked me for a BIOPSY that I wasn't even told about. My "biopsy" was booked on my original surgery date and then they moved my surgery to the following week WITHOUT my consent. Then I received an email stating that "I was REQUIRED to come in for this biopsy" that I wasn't even told about. They said they'd send me prescriptions for my upcoming surgery- antibiotics included- of course they were never sent. Decided to cancel because I was so disgusted and I called nonstop for 2 weeks. Eventually got a hold of the manager who said they processed my refund. Thankfully that wasn't a lie :) Things I've learned: 1. I went back to Lexington Plastic Surgeons after 11 years because I was told my implants were ruptured. The surgeon told me they had to come out and then wait 3 months and put new ones in. this was devastating; I should have gotten a second opinion! i had them taken out & after months of frustration with the entire group, I spoke to a different surgeon who said you always swap them & don't take them out and build up scar tissue!!! I did my procedure about 6 months ago. The day of my procedure they had me waiting in the waiting room for 3 and a half hours because of a "problem with a tummy tuck" That should've been my sign to take my money elsewhere. I shouldn't have ignored the red flag. I wrote a review expressing my experience as I was in the waiting area. When they saw that I wrote that review they came up to me and said we want to offer you a free service if you'll take down the review. I thought okay at least they want to compensate for my wasted time. I don't even want the free service because of how unprofessional this place is. Fast forward, my scar is healing but the keloid is coming back. I go back and start a "V-beam" treatment which does start to help bring down the keloid. I needed at least 4 sessions to fully flatten the keloid. I didn't even get my fourth session done. It was impossible to get the appointments for each session because they kept canceling over and over. Not one or two times. They cancelled at least 5-6 appointments and rescheduled only to cancel again. When I finally get my fourth session appointment I am waiting in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. When I was an hour and a half in waiting I ask if its going to be much longer and they said "We had 30 appointments today you're the 15th you're up next" WHY SCHEDULE THAT MANY APPOINTMENTS IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE STAFFING FOR IT?! I sat back down for another 20 minutes and I finally get called in by the nurse practitioner. She asks me what Im there for and when then tells me that the machine is broken. So I waited 2 hours FOR NO REASON on my only day off. I said "you could've at least let me know. Doesn't it say what the appointment is for all she says "no it doesn't I'm sorry we can make sure to schedule you back for when it's working again". PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I had a tummy tuck done after 5 cancellations and three different doctors. My foolish self decided to do anyway. The owner decided to do himself because of this inconvenience. I now have a zigzag line as the bikini line. After surgery I never saw the surgeon again. I ended up getting a huge bump on my stomach because they kept rescheduling my appointments for the lymphatic massages. I tried to get a second corrective surgery done elsewhere but was denied. They kept telling me to go back to original surgeon. Unfortunately, I did just that. After three reschedules they did the surgery. $14,000 down, does not even look like it. I was then promised fillers for all of my troubles. I get there for my scheduled appointment. Called in, put numbing cream on my face and then told that they made a mistake. I was then directed to go see a consultant. I can't make this up. A little while later, I get a phone call from a person telling me to reschedule that she would stay with me lol! Please whatever you do, do not go here. Take your money elsewhere. At this point I should have looked like Jennifer Lopez. Instead, I look the same way. Like a lot of the reviews here, I had extremely bad service with the front desk. The doctor did a good job - which is why I give the extra star - but even that had some issues, let me explain. For about 4 years, I've been going to this practice's "50% Botox parties" every year. The name is a bit of a misnomer, as once you get in the chair, the doctor will tell you you need more Botox/filler than you were anticipating, thus spending double, and the "50% off" is sort of meaningless, except (presumably) you get double the product. I've seen two doctors and as they seem to have doctors rotating in and out of their clinic, and the doctors do not appear on their website, I don't know their names. You just kind of go with whomever shows up. My last appointment was only about a week ago, and during the pandemic. The doctor (an Asian woman whose name I don't know) does a great job with the Botox and fillers. The problem is she literally upsells you as you sit there waiting for her to start. I repeatedly told her I wanted Restalyne (which is what I always get) but she kept suggesting I get the more expensive (and supposedly longer lasting) Juvederm. In fact, she sat at her desk ignoring me until I agreed to have the Juvederm because I didn't think we would ever get the procedure started otherwise. It was strange and uncomfortable. But it did look good, so there's that. Here is where it all starts to go downhill..... When I was called about my appointment (yes, they were desperate for business I guess, so they were calling all former clients to advertise their 50% off party), the woman on the phone took my credit card and told me she would put on a $100 hold to save my spot. I did not remember this ever being done before, but said fine. During the procedure, as I said, the doctor continually upsold me on a more expensive product until I caved and went with it. Okay fine. As we were leaving the room, a woman who appeared to maybe work there (hard to tell) came rushing over to thank the doctor for her fillers. Here's the catch - THE WOMAN WAS NOT WEARING A MASK. Yes, there I am, all masked up, as is the doctor, and this woman comes over, stands a foot from us, and gushes to us about her fillers, not caring one whit that she isn't masked. Hello, pandemic?! At the desk, the doctor tells the receptionist how much to charge me. I'm then handed a bill with nothing but the full amount listed. No breakdown of charges. I thought that was a tad strange, but by now I just wanted to leave. I reminded the receptionist of the $100 hold on my credit card, and she looked perplexed, staring into her computer. "Yes, someone called and took my credit card number and told me about a $100 hold charge" I say. She looks at me like I'm an alien and says "We don't do that." So I start to think maybe I am misremembering? I'd made quite a few doctors appointments after lockdown so perhaps I'm thinking of another place? So I sign the bill with the amount for $1200. A couple days later, I decide to check my credit card statements, and lo and behold, there is the $100 charge. At this point, it just gets absurd. Numerous calls in which I'm put on hold endlessly. Numerous calls in which hold time ends with a hang up. Reach a human being a couple of times, who then hangs up on me, whether by accident or on purpose, I have no idea. Several Facebook messages which are read (I can see the check mark) but ignored. Several emails to the front desk (I had their email from previous communications) that go unanswered. I finally FINALLY reach a human being who promises to have the "office manager" call me. No one ever calls. I simply can't imagine what it would be like to possibly have had a complex surgery with this place and need to reach someone, given how impossible it is to reach someone over a $100 charge. I'm not happy with how this has been handled. Not happy the absolute lack of customer service. Not happy that the company seems to value $100 over the thousands I've spent there and would continue to spend if they refunded my money as they should. CONTINUED FROM GOOGLE: The next day I get an email from my consultant saying my insurance denied the procedure because they weren't in-network but that they could offer me a $500 discount off of the cost of the procedure if I pay out of pocket or use financing (this would cost me $3500 on top of the $4500) because this has never happened before and they were sure that my insurance would have covered it. I was incredibly confused because I hadn't had the telehealth appt yet. I told my consultant about the credit issue at this point, and she said I should call them to try to reopen the account to help pay for the procedure. I couldn't open the card again without another application and this would be another hard inquiry on my credit score. I told my consultant and asked if they could provide any other discount and they said no. I was now required to pay $8000 out of pocket and they required full payment that day (3 weeks before the surgery would even take place). Now onto the telehealth appt - they tried to reschedule again because the nurse I was supposed to speak to was triple booked. They then asked me if I could join a telehealth call right then because the nurse had a cancellation. I joined and it was an older woman dressed in regular clothing sitting in her home and moving around. It felt very unprofessional. She asked me only a few questions about my health and told me very little about the procedure. It was over in almost 5 minutes. Now comes the day before the surgery, I didn't find out what time my appt was until 4pm the day before. They do tell you that you won't find out until the day before but waiting until 4pm was stressful. I received a call and was asked to arrive at 7:30am. Day of the surgery, I arrive at 7:30. The office is pretty bare with just a few seats in the waiting room. Not much on the walls and the desk attendant is dressed casually. It had the same vibe as the consultation room I was in. I was then asked to sign a form that said I had paid for the procedure in full. I sat down in the waiting room and wasn't taken in for the procedure until 9:30am. I was brought to another floor where the operations take place. It was a giant room with smaller, curtained off areas with patients waiting inside each one for their procedure. It felt very conveyor belt. A nurse pointed me to my "room" where she asked me to change into a gown, remove my jewelry and take out my contact lenses. I was confused about the lenses since I wasn't being sedated and only using lidocaine, so I asked her about that and the nurse thought I was being fully sedated. It concerned me that the nurse didn't know this. I sat around a bit longer until finally another nurse came in to ask me some questions, take my blood and have me sign some papers. Finally, Dr.Jones came in. He was nice. He showed me what he was going to do to my ear with an image on a tablet. I was then brought into the operating room. It was as if I was having a major procedure done. I was fully lying down on an operating table with my face fully draped over and they put circulation boots on me to avoid blood clots (this felt extreme). The surgery lasted maybe 20 minutes at most. It was seamless, no pain. I was then hand crackers and water post-surgery and sent on my way. Following the surgery, I had three rounds of radiation. It was a bit uncomfortable but very quick and the nurse/tech was really nice. During my first appt, they asked me again to sign the paper that confirmed everything was paid in full and I explained I already signed this and they said the guy at the other office must have not processed it. After the radiation, I scheduled my appointment to get my stitches out the following week. The following week, LPS posted on Instagram that they were offering $1000 off Keloid removals in the month of June. I was upset that this wasn't offered to me as a discount, given the circumstances and that my procedure was done in June. When I went to get my stitches removed, I inquired about this promo at the desk and the guy at the desk simply said "oh you paid for it already? Sorry no we can't apply it." On top of not getting this promo, the post itself did not sit right with me. Keloids aren't a fun cosmetic procedure. It felt like they missed the mark with that one and were being insensitive to those suffering from Keloids. While the experience itself was not great, I am 10 days post-op and my ear looks good. The incision is a bit raised but I was told that that would go down as I continued to massage it and apply scar gel to it. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome of my ear but I do regret not doing more research on their processes and the experience. If you are looking for a team that is going to listen to you and treat this like a health issue, this place is not it. Their business model is very off. read more

Today makes 3 weeks since my consultation at Lexington about removing a keloid on my left ear. My consultant Nicollette Smithson said she would give me a telephone call the following Tuesday to inform me on what my insurance would cover or out of pocket costs for this procedure. I can understand at most the intended telephone call being delayed a few days, but three weeks? I met with this woman on Friday February 15th. Today is Friday March 8th. I was really hoping that Dr. Jones could help me as I'm desperate to remove this ear keloid for the third time. It is odd to not even meet with a physician about your condition and just a "consultant" but I'm so desperate to remove this keloid with a higher rate of it not returning. After thorough research and seeing Dr. Jones' success rates of treating this condition on television and the internet I was confident this was the place that could help me once and for all. In addition, they want all this personal information from you prior to seeing someone that isn't even a medical practitioner, and no common courtesy or professionalism to follow up with a potential patient. I called the front desk multiple times explaining that I have yet to hear back after my consultation and to date no one from Lexington has returned any of my multiple telephone calls or responded any emails. I'm looking forward to a response to this review if that wouldn't be too much to ask for. If this is how I'm treated now it is alarming and a red flag about how a patient is treated throughout their procedure before and after. Is this place is all surface? I don't appreciate my time being wasted as a patient serious about obtaining treatment for my condition. In April 2019 I was scheduled for tummy tuck with Dr. Gingsberg (who was supposed to be one of the best surgeons, next to Dr. Jones). All went as planned from the consult up to day after surgery. We I returned the next to have my bandages removed, of course I was in a world of pain and sore, but I noticed that my stomach was not completely flat. Naturally the nurses assured me that once the swelling went down and after a full recovery I will see the desired results. Just give it time. Fast forward 3-4 months, postop, not only did I not see the results promised but what I received was partial tummy tuck!!!!!! I asked to speak with Dr. Gingsberg to express my concerns and question what went wrong. After the 5th month post-op I finally saw the doctor and he immediately tried to appease me with telling me how great a job he had done on my belly button!!!!! Confused about where this was going, I had to draw his attention to "pouch" I still had! He confirmed that he needed to go back and redo the procedure because I still had "some hanging skin below my belly button"...I couldn't believe how he was trying to down play what he did! He knew he fucked up and was quick to turn the conversation elsewhere. I was scheduled to have the 2nd surgery October 28th 2019 and had to pay an additional $1500 for the anesthesia, but it was cancelled because Dr. Gingsberg left the practice at LPS (Lexington Plastic Surgeons). Today is March 22, 2021 and I am still fighting to get results or monetary compensation!!! NOT ONLY DID I NOT GET THE 2ND SURGERY BUT I ALSO DID NOT GET MY $1500 BACK!!!!! Then I when I, AGAIN, tried to reach out for another surgery date, I was told it would not be anytime soon because, Josie - Dr. Gingsbergs former consultant, ignored my calls and email until I showed up in person to the Manhattan office and confronted her about what was being done to remedy my situation. She went on to tell me that "she was trying to get a date as soon as possible because there were 4 other women that he had to revisions on, as well." I was dumbfounded at her response. That's when she convinced me to pay the $1500 for the anesthesia for the future surgery date, because the rates were going up soon. When I tried to see Dr. Jones to consult with him on my situation, I was told that I had to pay for a visit with Dr. Jones and that it would be months away. Mind you when you walk-in to the office itself, you are surrounded by Dr. Jones celebrity status and how he dedicated to the satisfaction of ALL HIS PATIENTS - THOSE WHO HAVE MONEY! Talk about adding insult to injury!!! I have spoken to all the consultants and they have tried to push me on to other surgeons and pay MORE MONEY FOR THEIR FUCK UP!!!! BECAUSE I'M NOT A CELEBRITY IM TREATED LIKE CRAP!!!! IF I WERE A RAPPERS WIFE, OR GHETTO REALITY STAR THEY WOULD ROLE OUT THE RED CARPET FOR ME!!! IM DISGUSTED AND APPALLED AT THE TREATMENT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED AND THE RUNAROUND BEING DONE AT THE MANHATTAN OFFICE!!!!! The staff are trained to pass the buck, point the finger, and give the runaround. Overall the experience has left me broken, scarred and abused!!! I had the most embarrassing keloid on my ear. From getting a piercing and taking it out before it healed. I came here to get it removed and 2 years later it never returned. Not a good experience with LPS. Appointment was scheduled for 9am for a consult on 4/2/2021. Arrived to the appoint and was seen 1.5 hours later, although I was told, while making the appointment that I was the first visit. Met with a sales consultant; paid all upfront, as per their policy (since I was not using the financing option for payment). Made a follow-up appointment for 4/20/2021. On 4/19/2021, the consultant called me and asked if I could come for a later appointment on 4/20/2021; arrived to the appointment and was told by the Nurse's Assistant that I was not scheduled; the consultant who booked the appointment was not there that day. I asked for a refund and was told the money was nonrefundable and that someone would contact me with to schedule another appointment. A week later and no one called. I called the office and was told someone will call me back. I waited until 5/2/2021 and filed a dispute through my bank to recover what I paid; I recieved the refund on 5/17/2021. LPS appear very disorganized and it is very frustrating to pay for services and receive below what is expected. I am not sure how they remain in business if working with this model. I was disappointed with the outcome, but I am glad that I went with my gut feeling instead of being miserable with the quality of service if I went through with it. Dr. Jones declined to do the procedure. I asked for a refund, they offered me a more invasive procedure, I declined. I took out financing with their practice using a company named "cherry" I had to make the initial down payment at my post op appointment. While I was waiting on Dr. Jones, I made the payment. They still have not notified the third-party financing company that the surgery is not taking place. My appointment was 03/13. They are literally trying to strong arm me to do a tummy tuck. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and yesterday I went to small claims court to sue. I'm filing a complaint with the attorney general today because these people have to be stopped. This place is abysmal for lack of a better work. They are like used car sales people. The free consultation is nk ot a consultation. It is basically a non medical personal looking at your body and telling you what you can have done and rushing you through financing and getting uour $1000 deposit. They will not tell you it is non-refundable. After they get that money it is impossible to get anyone on the phone. I canceled my surgery and my credit card was still charged $14K. Do your research. I had surgery May of 2018, Dr Ginsberg, I think that's how you spell his names, long story short I think he could of did a better job! I had a tummy tuck, my stomach not completely flat or coutures like I anticipated plus he left me with dog ears, About Lexington Plastic Surgeon they don't check on you as much, I never got to see a Dr after surgery, after month went by I ask when was I going to see my Dr. I was told he retired smh. Had a nose job back in 2012 and I still feel like I got a BOTCHED job. Wish I would have read and wrote a review sooner. They advertise like oh we work the best on ppl of color. I should have known something was up, when I seen so much advertisement. I've learned the amazing doctors get work through word of mouth! Well here's my story...When I got there I didn't even get a consultation from the doctor, it was a lady. Then the day of the procedure the doctor pointed out more issues that I didn't even notice on my nose. I'm thinking cool he'll fix all this. When I went back I never seen the doctor it was a nurse or a Someone under him that pulled out the Cotten from my nose. I never seen the doctor again even after I requested to see him. Oh and he never fixed any of the other issues HE pointed out! My nose was better before I even got the surgery. Biggest regret ever, and I'm scared to get it fixed as I feel now it might get worse. And with a nose it's the center of your face, it's no going back. I just wish I wrote this sooner to help someone. Shit, I wish I read this sooner I probably wouldn't have went.
