I've had a history with calling the office and never receiving a call back; I've shown up for appointments that they've neglected to inform me have changed! Not to mention, the staff is so rude and disrespectful to paying customers. They treat you like it's an inconvience on their part which is a dangerous way to run a business.

I also tried their online appointment request form, twice -- ha, what a joke! I have been trying to contact the Lexington branch of Blue Ridge Eye Associates for over 3 weeks, and still have yet to even be contacted about anything whatsoever. As a new resident of the area, I can't imagine being a repeat customer to a business with such poor customer service. I'll be trying my luck at another optometrist in the area, hopefully with much better results.

Scheduled an appointment for myself and called ahead to make sure that they were not running behind. I was told they were 10 minutes behind so I left work early. I get here and after waiting 40 minutes I'm told it's still another 20 minutes so yet again wasting another hour sitting in this office. I just canceled I will never bring anyone to my family here again. There are plenty other ophthalmologists in town.

Had cataract surgery six years ago. Day after my surgery my left eye (the one he did surgery on…read moreturned to the left). I went to see him that day and his nurse actually ran out of the room to go get him when I told her what happened. He came in and told me sometimes that happens after surgery but he was going to send me to Dr Teidamen a specialist. He told me that there was nothing to be done. I had a rare case with my eye and nothing could be done. Teidman proceeded to bring his nurses in to show them something (rare). All the while my eye was going crazy when they put the light to my eye. I finally told them enough. The muscle in my eye was having very much pain. I believed the specialist so I figured I would just have to live with it. So I let Harrison do my right eye for cataract no problem it turned out good. Never had any problems before like this and my eyes were always 20/20 except for wearing reading glasses. As the years went on the eye got worse and had to keep upping my strength on the readers. All the while Harrison was no longer in Lexington, so I had another doctor who "knew the history " of my eye. Well again they changed doctors on us. This time my husband was supposed to to have cataract surgery. This time we checked his reviews and he had one which stated run as fast as you can away. So we started looking else where for a doctor. Many family and friends recommended Vistar Eye Center We went to Vistar eye center in Botetourt Co. I made appointment for my husband and I also made me an appointment. They could not believe what was done to my eyes. After many exams and questions and measurements they told me my eye could be fixed. After six years on February 6 2026 my eyes are straight no more double vision and my eyes are clear and now I do not have to keep my left eye closed. I will also be able to drive again. I thank God we found these doctors and the specialist who did my surgery. these people are very special group. They show they care are very professional.
