Lexington DO NOT MOVE HERE! I wish I could leave negative stars. This complex USED to be a great place to live. Enter TYLER DOYLE. Now, not so much. Between TYLER (current property manager) and ARIANA (district manager), this place has gone to crap. I lived here for about 6 years with minor issues. When Tyler came into the manager position, things changed rapidly for the worst. From not taking action on complaints regarding tenant situations (residents nit following rules) to being just plain rude, TYLER (not even properly qualified) has caused a bitter taste in several tenant's mouths. Speaking of TYLER, let's talk about his favorite past time: smoking weed. He lives on property and terrorizes his neighbors with the prevalent smell of marijuana flowing through their vents. Funny, considering smoking indoors is a clear lease violation. Roaches are prevalent. I refused to unpack the first month of moving in because I saw roaches on the ceiling, walls, and in my bed. I finally was able to figure out a roach abatement regimen that worked well for me. The dumpsters are over full consistently. At one point, the office tried blaming it on the city, but after several phone calls, I found out the property has a private trash collection company. Apparently, someone didn't pay the bill. We had to live with full dumpsters for several weeks. Visitor parking is a joke. There aren't many spaces available and you see the same people parking in them all the time. I can only assume they live there, but aren't on the lease and didn't want to pay for a parking sticker. All the appliances are antiques. My electric bill ran into $300 during summers due to the age of the ac. If you decide to view this property, just ask any of the current residents (out of management presence) what they actually think of the property. I'm sure you'll hear a LOT. There are several current residents stuck in their leases that want to move out BECAUSE of TYLER MOLD. I didn't realize how bad the mold was until I moved my furniture out and saw the damage to my solid wood furniture. There is definitely an issue with water entering ground floor units from the outer walls and windows. Maintenance is GREAT! Carlos runs a great team. It's just management that needs a refresh. If you move in and have an issue with on-site management, good luck! When I inquired about wanting to make a formal complaint to corporate about how things were going on property, TYLER smirked and said, "You can call corporate, but they're just going to push it to Ariana and she'll just give it to me." Is this the way you operate, @FDCManagement? And PILAR... What used to be a kind, pleasant presence in the office has now become bitter and not so friendly. I can only imagine how awful it must be to work with TYLER. When I was reporting an incident, she said, "If you're so stressed out here, why don't you just move?" WTF?!?!?! First appearances are deceiving. I should have seen the writing on the wall when Tyler refused to show me the apartment. After living here for almost 7 months - I have found Tyler to be rude and unprofessional, parroting to me "Just comply, just comply, just comply." when I sought clarification of their community rules. Their assistant manager who is my neighbor finds it necessary to scold my 55-year-old wife like a child when she's been given clear instructions to bring the issues to me. They clearly discriminate against residents with their "community rule" applying them to some and not to others. The place is deeply infested with roaches, large piles of dog doo everywhere because others can't clean up after their dog, trash overflowing from the dumpsters, fake paint peeling from my bathtub in solid sheets, fire alarms going off at 1 am and 3 am for no reason at all, and A/C unit that cannot cool the unit effectively. I mean they can't even have a civil conversation with you. Instead, you get nasty little letters on your door and obnoxious emails... it's overpriced and poorly managed! DON'T MOVE HERE!! read more

My 2-year stay was not bad, however, keep an eye out for your move out cost. Yes I said move out cost. Now we all know normal wear and tear on carpet (light beige carpet) will have spots after 2 years. My cleaning charges for that was $180+ dollars. Technically I was due for my annual cleaning. Go Figure. Then they hit me with counter top re-glazing... it was already pealing after the first 6 months. But once again, normal wear and tear. Parking charges? I had a garage and I had a paid car port, that was paid with my monthly rent, please tell me how this was calculated? Now, I kept up with a few neighbors that had previously moved out and they were charged with NOTHING, and got a portion of their security deposit returned to them. I acutally like the people that work there, the maintenance team was good, but what kind of games are they playing when it comes to moving out? Luck for me I had pictures taken by a professional as well as myself. And I have a legal friend that also witness this madness. My final cost of move out was $281, please explain this???? read more

3 year resident .......Apartment living will never be the same as single family home living. Most reasonable people know this. However, some issues are so egregious that they warrant a yelp review. I don't believe the problem is the local staff here, rather the home office in California that doesn't seem to care at all , even in the slightest, about keeping residents if not "happy" , at least content .....When the apartment was rented all first floor units had two entry points , front and back, which was the main reason I rented the apartment . Last year they decided to close the rear patio entrances , and would not reconsider , no matter how many times or how many residents objected. I even offered to pay so that while I was here my unit could have a small gate that looked like the other enclosures but was functional. I was given an opportunity to break the lease, but otherwise told to go pound sand - I needed the rear access because at the time I lived with my late elderly grandmother- so it was also unrealistic for me to move. Nothing. Then you have the trash situation. It is the most repulsive I have ever witnessed . People will dump trash bags on the floor, and some will empty their trash cans directly on the floor. It's only a matter of time before there is an outbreak of some decease with trash and foods lingering on the ground in the Texas heat . They either are agreeable to renting to the type of people who would engage in such practices, or won't pursue harsher measures to bring those who do this in line. Imagine walking out of your home to see a heap of garbage flying everywhere and rotting seafood on the floor. They won't negotiate on renewals , which may be standard, and the manager and staff are pleasant enough, but probably have their hands tied by their superiors to improve things. It's a shame , it's a pretty picturesque community in a fairly decent area. ALSO, They will not fulfill their obligation to maintain the apartment aesthetically IN ANY WAY. I have had 1- crack on the ceiling 2- their old Formica kitchen countertops fall apart and 3- their low quality refinished tub all fall apart, AND I have to pay for the materials for the repairs myself because they won't do anything about it, or they immediately put you of by telling you "the costs will be passed down to you" . It truly must be a miserable existence having to say no to reasonable requests all the time. read more

I was going to lease with Lexington, but I decided to become a home owner instead. My experience was very positive! I mainly worked with Pilar, but the other employees were also kind over the phone and always answered. She showed me several 1 bedroom plans, and I loved how the plans are unique and aren't all just a boring square shape. The grounds, pool, and rest areas are absolutely beautiful if you like living in a wooded and quiet area. Lots of trees, trails, shade, and cute wildlife around to watch! I really haven't seen any other properties as wooded and beautiful as this one before. This property can easily be missed because the office is located deep inside the gated property. They have been managed by the same company since they opened out of CA in the 90's, which says A LOT. They have amazon lockers, and plenty of parking from what I could see. Also a huge outdoor chess board. One of the best things about this place is the pricing. Their rates include all the fees and utilities in the price, so all you have to worry about is your cable/internet and electricity. This is actually the only really nice complex that still has rent below $1K for 1 bedrooms in my opinion! Which is unheard of these days. The area is a "low crime" area as well (check Trulia). The only things I didn't like were that since the office is behind the gate, it was hard to get in and be able to get to the office without having to follow someone in if you get lucky. They are a bit old fashioned an"d still require you to come in and fill out a paper application, which isn't very convenient. Also, it didn't seem like they were flexible with move in dates at all. You are given a move in date, and that is just THE day you have to move in from what I understood. My initial day was a Monday, and seeing that I work during the week, I felt it was inconvenient not to allow the tenant to pick up keys during the week then move in on the weekend; never had that issue anywhere else in my 10 year apartment rental history. Not a deal breakers by any means, just a few cons. I'm sure anyone would be happy to live here! read more

Pilar is wonderful in the office. She made my move in experience so great and so stress free..even in the middle of Covid-19! When I submit a maintenance request it's taken care of that same day and Jay, one of the maintenance individuals, is a delight! He is fast, informative, and reassuring!..which means a lot when someone is entering your apartment. I have nothing but positive things to say about this property. Lived there for one year and it was horrible. The air halfway worked in the summer and the heater halfway worked on the winter. The roaches are bad. The maintenance sucks and when I moved out I took pictures just in case they try and say the apt was dirty and they did just that. They tried to say that the carpet needed heavy cleaning. I have been living in these apartments for about two years. In the past two years my apartment and car has been broken into. The building I currently live in, there has been about five break ins just in this building. Recently about ten cars has been broken Into in just one night. They claim there is security here, but I've only seen him two times since I moved in. The office doesn't give a crap about your safety and does not send out letters letting the people know what goes on in this community. With the amount of rent that we pay here, you would think they could afford cameras and security. If you're thinking of moving here I suggest you look around. These apartments are not safe and the office does nothing to improve the safety of their residents. read more

Rent is high but the options provided are not at par, specially on the utensils, swimming pool and the gate keys. Community wise the place is good, near to facilities like school, roads, shopping... Can do better if they can look into the customer needs and address with good options. read more

Management here has been fantastic! I'm a victim of recent flood Harvey and had to find immediate living accommodations as my house is still underwater. I came to the Lexington as a good friend has lived here for many years and loves it. Will, Trevor and Pilar (the management) bent over backwards to get me set up as quickly as possible. They were very polite, calm and professional. They even provided me food! The apartment I rented is sparkling clean and beautiful. They have remembered my name and check on me still to see if I need anything. I'm very thankful for their attention and kindness. The neighbors I've met so far have had only good things to say about the Lexington...all have been friendly and helpful. I have recommended the Lexington to my neighbors who have lost their homes and need an apartment...and I would recommend this beautiful, well maintained apartment to anyone! read more
