Over an hour and a half for a FILL- just for me to walk out with the worst nails. The tech doing my nails was very clearly struggling. I could let this slide but they know he shouldn't be out here doing nails yet and still allow him do so. Which proves that probably no one is licensed in there. I wanted to keep my coffin shape and shorten them, my nails were different sizes and like misshapen chicklets. (They we're squares with rounded out tips) I feel bad because he was trying but I even mentioned that on one of my nails the fill was too low and if he could fill it in some more and he just looked at it for a long time, buffed it and carried on. Like I said I feel bad because he was trying but it was just a waste of time. I went home, shaped and repainted them and can't wait for my next fill to go back to my regular spot. Other cons: the tech didn't say a word the whole time, I don't usually like to talk but I wasn't greeted or anything & vibe was weird. They didn't use any cuticle oil or lotion. read more

I've been going to this nail shop for about a year and I've not been dissatisfied with my dip....not even once. The staff is always polite and usually runs on a pretty tight schedule. The reason for this negative review is not for the service I got but for the service I DIDN'T get. On their site it clearly says "walk ins welcome". There's no mention about needing an appointment or about how they don't do men mani-pedis. I walked in and was told to sign in. Immediately one of them told me that they only do appointments and that they're full (despite the fact that two were available and no one else was in the waiting room), and to come back in the evening. This is a HUGE flaw on their part: 1. No sign that says appointments needed. The website says "walk ins welcome". 2. If it was about not giving men service, there's no sign that says "women only". Had that been anywhere this review would not exist. Save your time and go elsewhere. A store that does not even treat prospective customers decently is not worth your time and money. I'd give them zero stars if I could because that's what I got: jack squat! read more

Worst pedicure of my life. The guy pretty much cut my toe nails buffed them and painted them. He squirted lotion on my legs and was done. I've been following Cindy wherever they move her. She is by far the best when it comes to a pedicure. She takes her time, and never rushes. I make it a point to make an appointment, so I know my time slot. We are all on a schedule now a days, and sometimes you can get lucky with a walk-in, but on some days, everyone has the same idea, so you can't blame the shop for not being prepared 100 %. I was traveling for work and had a nail emergency so I stopped in to Lexi since it was near my hotel. I got a gel mani and overall quality was standard, cost was $30. The guy who did my nails seemed pretty thorough but I generally prefer women to do my nails (always seem to last longer for some reason). A three star review is really tough for me to give this place. I'd consider this a 2.5, honestly. Part of me wants to give a single star. I walked in today early for my appointment, was half-greeted, rushed through picking a color, and then was unceremoniously sat at a station. My nails were brushed and a bowl of acetone was placed in front of me - the woman didn't even realize (even after looking at my nails) that I didn't currently have gel polish on. After a correction, I was brought a bowl half-full of not even lukewarm water to place my hands in as I waited 15 minutes for a nail tech. I contemplated walking out, or at the very least refilling my own bowl with some warmer water. Isn't this supposed to be a relaxing experience, and am I not the customer? I shouldn't feel like I'm inconveniencing anyone when I'm paying $30 for a manicure... However, part of me wants to give it 4, because James was excellent. He was professional, polite, was conversational, and I really appreciated his attention to detail when it came to my actual nail polish (gel). My one gripe about the whole manicure itself was that it was not a very relaxing experience, and with a manicure, I would have expected that at the very least there'd be a hand massage, or some lotion or something other than just paint. According to their website, the gel manicure includes the basic manicure, part of which is an "arms and hands massage". Overall, if I must have a mani or pedi in the area, I guess I'll go back here. However, I certainly will not be seeking them out for a relaxing experience. I'll head north to Alexandria for that. read more

Exceptional. I got a mani-pedi. He was professional friendly and thorough. He chatted with me at times and knew when to stop talking and just let me relax. The atmosphere is calming with soft music and no tvs. Prices are very reasonable. I will be back. I recommend the parafin wax, worth the extra $10. read more

Its like the saying when you know better you do better, and now that I know better I will do better and chose a different place next time. We scheduled 5 appointments for 3 pm just a fun day for the bride to be. We arrived they are obviously busy with walkins, duh its a Saturday that's expected. The disappointment began when they werent ready for all 5 appointments, not only that they only had 5 people on staff that day. I personally sat with my feet in the water just waiting for about 20 minutes. It's currently 4:47 and he's just now polishing my toes. Again my appointment was at 3. I also asked for a manicure but the whole party is waiting on me to finish so the mani is a no go today. Now let's talk about the actual service. 1: He cut me. Knows he did it because he keeps going back to the spot of the cut puttinf alcohol on it. Has not apologized for it or even asked if I'm ok... well it burns so nah not ok 2: My "hot towel" was ice cold. As if he just took it out of the warmer and let it sit 3: Got the same pedicure as my friend and I was totally hopped a massage... it was lack luster he slapped on some lotion rubbed it in, washed it off in the water and that's all. When I asked about it he's said yeah ok I'll do.... nope. I'm jealous of the massages everyone else got. I work on my feet so I was looking forward to this 5-10 mins during this $40 pedicure 4:I got French polish and they just used clear polish. Now this may be a thing down here, but I'm not new to French polish and at least every place ive gone they've used a tinted pink base. So you just charged me more for what??? All in all I've been to other places and received cheaper better pedicures and service. Can't say not to come here just know you're basically over paying for what you're getting. Don't think I'll try this place again because my cut hurts any I'm annoyed. Especially now when I'm barely out the chair and hes asking if I'm going to pay now standing over me watching for a tip. Sorry Lexi...I'm sure your manicures/pedicures/whatever else you offer are awesome, but I can't write a review on those because I never actually received service here. I walked in on a Friday afternoon for a pedicure/manicure (treating myself!) and was escorted back to a pedicure chair after a few minutes' wait. I noticed most of the nail technicians were already occupied, but the girl who helped me wasn't busy, so I expected to be seen shortly. There was another customer with her feet in water as well, so I assumed she was another walk-in and would be seen before me, which was fine. I think the biggest problem was the amount of appointments- it seemed like EVERYONE had made appointments here, and they didn't have enough staff to accomodate walk-ins. The lady who led me back had an appointment, so I waited. Then, another lady was led back to put her feet in water too. Slowly, both walk-ins (including the one who came after me) were being seen and I was still sitting there. By this time I had been sitting with my feet wrinkled in a cold bath of water for over an hour, so I decided to leave. One of the techs noticed me air-drying my feet from the basin and mentioned that one of the other techs was almost done, but I told her that I didn't have another hour and a half to spend at the nail salon, so I left. All in all, it's entirely possible that they do good work, but I haven't seen it yet and was entirely unimpressed with the service. If you have a long wait, just tell me and I'll make an appointment and go shopping at Target or something. Don't trap me in a footbath for an hour! I understand this place is new and may need some kinks worked out, but I'm not willing to give it another try. As a PS- the people who WERE getting pedicures were being seen as long as I was waiting- which means the pedicures were taking over an HOUR to complete! Even a deluxe or spa pedicure shouldn't take over an hour to do! Aint nobody got time fo that! read more

I called ahead before coming in with 3 friends to get pedicures. The person I spoke with assured me there were plenty of openings and to come in immediately, but do not go here if you have places to be! We arrived and they had plenty of pedicure chairs, but no one to actually do the pedicures. All the nail technicians were busy so we sat and soaked for upwards of 20 minutes before anyone attended to us. The pedicure itself was fine, but I found out, upon removing the polish that I had acquired a lovely toenail fungus from this pedicure. I realized that I never once saw any of the pedicure foot tubs be washed, cleaned or sterilized the entire hour+ I was in the salon. I will not be returning because it took me months to get rid of the toenail fungus. :( read more

Came here with my boyfriend to get pedicures. The shop itself is nice and the initial appearance is clean and sanitary. However, while I was getting my pedicure I watched one of the techs "clean" the pedicure spa after he was done with his client. He wiped the tub two or three times with a sponge then used the dirty towels he had used on the client (that was wet from the hot towel wrap) to wipe down the tub He did not properly clean or even spray down the tub with cleaner. The techs had inappropriate conversation about the customers (not realizing I could understand what they were saying). My boyfriend was not asked what type of pedicure he wanted, and when I got home I realized that the nail tech didn't even put top coat on my polish. Even on a Saturday afternoon, I did not have to wait long (maybe 10 minutes) for a pedicure. They do take appointments. I recommend James - he is fantastic. The salon is not very big (8 pedicure chairs and maybe 8 nail stations). Their color selection is not not enormous, but big enough to have fun color choices. They also do Shellac gel polish. I've gotten a few manicures and pedicures here. Yesterday I got a gel manicure and pedicure. The service was great and they really take their time with you. My gel is great quality and looks fantastic. I know it will last me well over two weeks. The pedicure was great, but fair warning, they get into your big toe and get out any potential "in grown" that may be starting. They do check and ask how you're doing to make sure you're not in pain. Personally I like it, my toes feel amazing after and I know it's preventive. My toes and nails look and feel great! I would highly recommend them to a friend. read more

Yes, I'm a male and while I know men do get pedicures, it's not my favorite pastime to have my feet rubbed and scrubbed. Went with the wife to make her happy, and I have to tell you I was impressed. They sat us right away and went to work. The message chair I sat in made me feel like dough because I was kneaded so much. It did feel good though. Being a amateur at this stuff, I didn't ask too many questions. I just sat back and enjoyed. Cindy, our tech was awesome and very friendly. After it was all done, I was wondering why I haven't done this before. The wife got the manicure and pedicure combo and was quite pleased. The tips started separating and when I went back today I was told by the manager that they would not redo them. They have a no refund policy. I had the receipt; She remembered me; but still would not correct their mistake. She said she had a no refund policy. I said I have a no return policy. I will not be back. New to the area I decided to try Lexi - I had tried spa 1 and wasn't impressed and on first visit Lexi nails was nice and clean and had a great shellac collection - a little bit more expensive but I was more than willing to pay. they have a few good techs but in no way will it warrant the 45 minute wait with zero customer service or common decency to inform you of how long you'll be sitting there. Especially when you hear them taking phone calls telling people they have appointments available in 15 minutes. Needless to say, I've given them enough chances being that I didn't know of any other places, I'll take that hour of my time back to look online find somewhere else and take my business elsewhere. This is my second time being here and both times were spectacular. The salon is very nice and clean. They don't have tv's so the technicians are not distracted. It has very nice ambiance here. Lexi's is clean and my color lasted over a week (which is rare). Not a lot of people so it's not loud which is nice. I give it 3 stars because they weren't really paying attention for the pedicure and they caused scratches on the top of my foot which lasted days. My friend that went with me her technician was hurting her. Also we made an appointment and they wouldn't let us sit near each other for our manicure. That makes no sense because we made the appointment together. So we ended up yelling across the store to each other. Still couldn't hear each other because the ladies that work there then decided they were going to yell across the store at each other. So over all a bad experience. read more
