I have been a member of P1FCU for over 10 years. This Credit Union use to follow a model of…read moremembers first. It had the home town feel, and you could actually go into a branch and get something done. In the last 3 years, they have moved to a large banking model. I find no difference between P1FCU, and large cooperate banks I have banked with in the past. No one in a branch can't actually make a decision about anything, they have to get on their little messenger and ask someone else, who can't make a decision at the time, and you can expect a call later. I've had at lease 5 different auto loans through them, and until the last 3 years didn't have problems. They worked with you if there was an issues, and actually tried to help. This is not the case anymore. P1FCU, built it self on giving people a chance to a part of a credit union, who weren't ideal for other credit unions. Now you are nothing more than apart of their bottom line. You are nothing more than a member number. When you call now, you get a call center from some contract company, where the employees don't even know how to say the name of the company. Extremely disappointed in where this credit union has gone. I will be moving on soon, because I don't see this ever turning around. The only Pro, is the wonder ladies who work in my local branch, are friendly, and kind, they know who I am, and can call me by name when I walk through the door. I wish I could say it was because of their cooperate culture, but it has more to do with being a small town.

This bank is probably the worst credit establishment I've ever dealt with. My grandma 's account…read morewas breached 4 times and the bank cashed fraudulent checks and withdraws without a second glance. When they showed us the checks that were cashed, it was obvious they were fake, sent from somewhere in California. In addition to never catching fraudulent withdrawals, they charge you every month after a loved one has passed away until the account is completely closed, the entire act of closing the account may take years with all the paper work they keep requiring. ere were many other problems with this bank in the years I cared for my grandma 's care, so I would recommend finding a different bank with better policies.

Apparently this is the policy of this bank and I'm not at all pleased with the denial of the manager to generate a receipt for it although I didn't recieve my change back from the transaction. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT UNION. The loan officer misguided me throughout the entire…read moreprocess. I had only called to inquire about the documents needed, and I had "consented" to what I thought was a soft inquiry as other loan processes officer an initial soft inquiry and because I was not told otherwise, and she pulled a hard inquiry during my very first conversation before I submitted any documents to apply for the auto loan. I explicitly stated and provided a job offer letter of when my start date would be, and she told me that only a verification of employment for my new job would suffice for the application. As a result of her not providing accurate information about the appropriate documents, my application was declined because "I needed a first paystub," and "There are other variables to take into account," that she did not inform me of until after my decline. They said they would need to pull a second hard inquiry because my first paystub would be after the 30 days. She hadn't told me she pulled a hard inquiry until a week later. Her supervisor used the excuse that the loan officer "was new and not aware/trained" and P1FCU's Vice President of Member Services refused to remove this hard inquiry from my account, even after her supervisor admitted that this process was incorrect and were in the wrong. I reported P1FCU to the Better Business Bureau, and the VP said they would not be correcting this and closed the grievance. I have happily chosen another credit union for my auto loan. This other credit union has an A+ rating; was more professional, efficient, and helpful; and guided me through the whole process to ensure it was done correctly the first time. I encourage everyone to steer clear of P1FCU and be aware of the deficient, unprofessional service that P1FCU provides.
