Came here for league night as a substitute for my sister's extended family. Hey, I may be a terrible bowler, but at least I fail in style. I had to get accustomed to league rules (switching lanes confused the crap out of me), but had a good time. Staff was nice. I don't think we had any technical difficulties with our lane. There's a bar attached to the place, and you can play Quick Draw. Also an arcade room for the kids. Good times all around.

10 lb Barney purple colored ball was the bomb (even though it looks red here)

Some of the workers here are a little off and can take forever to get a game started. However the place is a decent size and Friday night they turn the lights off and play good dancey music. Pretty much everyone bowling late Friday night was in their 20s. $16.95 for unlimited games for 3 hours and comes with shoe rental. On Fridays after 11 pm girls bowl for just $5.00. I suggest getting bottled beer and stay away from the taps and food. I haven't felt well the entire next day after drinking their tapped beer and it's happened 2x. And no it was not a hangover. Just stick with bowling.

It's a great value, and the location is very convenient for us. Unfortunately, our experience Sunday night was frustrating. We were bowling next to two people who repeatedly approached and released their balls at the same time we were bowling. The man in particular would step onto the approach while I was preparing to bowl, which was distracting and made it difficult to concentrate. They also seemed unfamiliar with basic bowling etiquette. I eventually spoke with him politely and explained that the bowler on the adjacent lane should wait until the person who is already up has finished. Before doing that, however, we went to the front desk and asked if we could simply switch lanes. We were told there wasn't a lane available and that, because these weren't league bowlers, the staff wasn't going to enforce league etiquette. I understand that open bowling is different from league play, but basic courtesy between adjacent lanes should still matter. What was particularly frustrating was that after we had requested a lane change, the other couple apparently requested one and was given another lane. So the customers who had originally asked to move because of the problem were not accommodated, while the other customers were. We've had good experiences here otherwise, which is why this was disappointing. We don't expect staff to police every little thing during open bowling, but when customers are interfering with each other's turns, there should be some reasonable way for staff to help resolve the situation. If a lane becomes available, it seems fair that the customers who requested the change first should be given priority. We still like the alley and the value, but I hope management will take a look at how situations like this are handled during open bowling.

On paper, it's actually a pretty good deal for a Saturday night. Unfortunately, our experience went downhill almost immediately. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was a large pile of bowling shoes on the counter where guests check in and pick up their rental shoes. It gave the impression that the center was disorganized and that basic housekeeping wasn't being kept up with. When it came time to get our rental shoes, my spouse's pair was fine, but mine were in terrible condition. The employee initially tried to give me a larger size than I wear, although to his credit he did find the correct size. Once we reached our lane, however, I discovered just how worn out the shoes really were. They had a spot worn so thin that it looked like it would soon become a hole, and the shoelaces were ripped. Shoelaces are inexpensive, so there's really no excuse for leaving rental shoes in that condition. Since rental shoes are required to bowl, I didn't have much choice but to use them. As we settled in, we noticed more signs of neglect. The flooring near our lane had a noticeable tear that had not been repaired. Even worse, every time I sat down in one of the chairs, it slowly deflated because it had a hole in it. These are basic maintenance issues that should have been addressed long ago. The bowling itself was also disappointing. The lanes appeared to be heavily oiled, making it extremely difficult to throw the ball consistently. We don't own our own equipment and used the house balls, but they became so oily that our hands felt greasy after almost every frame. We actually left deciding that, at the very least, we're buying our own bowling shoes and a towel before our next outing. Overall, we left disappointed. The unlimited bowling special is a good value, but it doesn't make up for a facility that feels neglected and poorly maintained. With better upkeep, replacing worn rental shoes, repairing damaged seating and flooring, and paying closer attention to lane conditions, this could be a much more enjoyable place to bowl. Right now, though, it feels like a bowling center that has simply been allowed to deteriorate over time.

I walked into a building where bowling, pool tables, ping pong, karaoke rooms, rhythm games, claw machines, and pinball all occupy different sections of the floor, and the energy in the space was consistent from the moment I arrived. The arcade is the strongest part of the offering, and this location carries imported games from Japan that I do not find at most American arcades. That is a meaningful distinction for rhythm game players and anyone familiar with the Japanese arcade scene. The claw machines rotate prizes regularly, and the selection of plushies is good, though individual machine difficulty varies considerably and some are more winnable than others. Coming in on a weeknight meant lighter crowds and better access to machines, but it also meant some claw machines were not fully stocked, so flagging a staff member to set up a machine if what I wanted was unavailable is worth doing. The facility is large and reasonably clean, though it gets loud during peak hours and seating for adults who are not actively playing is limited. Weeknight visits offer a noticeably more relaxed version of the same space. For a group activity destination on Long Island, Round1 delivers on variety and energy, even if individual elements like claw machine consistency have their limitations.
