It took a few different attempts to get a call back, but eventually Dr. Klein herself got back to me to schedule an initial appointment. My first appointment was very thorough and involved a long intake. It was a good opportunity to get to know Dr. Klein, her practice, and her approach. She was open about making other suggestions about resources and things to look into for this prenatal phase as well as long-term health in general. Before getting on the actual bed, we went over pricing. I do wish I had inquired ahead of time, because ultimately the price is a bit prohibitive to me. (That's on me, though, for not asking.) The preliminary visit was $350, and each successive adjustment is $120 (or $130?). She does make it easy to submit a claim to one's insurance afterwards through a clear invoice, which you can submit to your insurance company. (Unfortunately, my insurance does not reimburse from her practice.) After the first visit, even the initial adjustment helped relieve some pain. However, after the second visit, I was left feeling worse than when I initially came in. When I mentioned this, Dr. Klein offered to see me that very same day, which was a very accommodating offer. And I know from previous chiropractic experience that this can happen, especially at the beginning of a treatment when a doctor is still trying to get to know the patient's body. However, I had already been thinking I couldn't afford (cost and time) to continue, so I decided after this second visit not to continue. We got started right away, first Dr. Mandel checked where I was feeling pain from then Dr. Mandel loosened my muscles with a machine (I don't know what's the machine called). Then finally the moment I've been waiting for, he cracked my upper back first. He felt where the tension was and cracked. Then he cracked my lower back. At this point I already felt like I got a new back. Then he checked my neck and cracked it three times. WOW... I felt like a brand new person. I will most definitely be coming back.
