I rarely go into Levi's stores, even outlets, because I find the product to be so expensive for what you get. Plus pants these days are all tight around the ankle, skinny cut, and that's just not my style.
But I decided to take a chance and lucked out big time! Two pairs of Levi's for less than $26 with tax off the clearance rack! I still can't believe my luck here, though despite the great deal, it was not a great experience.
There was no greeting as we entered the store, nor any acknowledgment of our presence at all while shopping. I tried on the pants in the fitting room and headed to the cash registers. Of course there was no one there and I had to wait for someone to notice that I wanted to spent money. Unfortunately I do not remember her name, and the receipt only indicates that she was Operator 121469 but I wasn't a fan: She freaked out when the prices rang up as low as they did and she ran to find a manager who came up and said, "Yeah, 40% off clearance. Looks fine."
Not sure if she thought I was trying to pull a fast one on her but I didn't appreciate the extra delay in scoring my good deal. read more
