I stayed in the Leverdale hotel for 3 nights. The lady behind reception was the owner and I felt welcome enough. I was asked to hand over my car key, as the car park is not large and cars had to be moved around to let other cars out. I opted for the possibility to park my car in one of the side streets instead.
The interior of the hotel is quite old fashioned and some of the walls had holes in them. The carpet is old , but looks clean enough. The walls are very thin, especially in the third floor. I could hear my neighbor going to the toile at night. In the other room a baby was crying all night, screaming for her mum, as she was left alone . Not good!
The personnel was nice and breakfast was served quickly. Coffee refill at any time. The breakfast choice was limited, but you definitely get the basics: cooked English breakfast, cereal choices, juices, coffee, boiler eggs with solders, porridge etc.
My room was quite plain, but I had everything I needed (well, a night lamp would have been nice). The location is quite good. Very close to the beachfront and tram station.
For their guests they also had a wee bar and hang out area with a pool table.
