In August 2015, I had booked 4 nights at The Wilton for two people. Knowing about the steps and no lift after a phone call with the hotel, I asked for a twin room on the top floor and got No. 14 which was facing the street. Jo, the owner, greeted us and made check-in easy and quick. I really do appreciate that hotels like this one are locked and that only hotel customers can enter via a key. The room was tastefully decorated, the ensuite big and clean and we had a view to the Great Orme and also the sea. Free wifi also worked well and we couldn't complain about the mattresses.
Night life was quite loud on one certain night and the seagulls also don't seem to sleep at night. But this is to be expected if you go on holiday at a seaside resort.
The breakfast was served in a big breakfast lounge from 8.15-9.15am and was very good with a choice of different breakfasts and cereals etc.
The Wilton is very close to the beach and the pier where a lot of attractions are on offer. I recommend going on the Sightseeing and local buses to see something of the area like Snowdownia and Conwy Castle. Explore the pier and if you have kids, enjoy the Punch & Judy show.
We had a wonderful stay at The Wilton and will recommend it!
Room Tip: If you can get up all the steps to the third floor, you'll have a good view and are away from the traffic noise. read more
