This place was so much fun! I went with colleagues for an after-work corporate holiday gathering and we all had a blast. I like how the rooms are similar to a short 2-3 minute escape room. Really quick and efficient to keep you moving throughout all the rooms and experience everything. Would highly recommend for any active and puzzle loving person from young to old!

Celebrated my 40th birthday, and my first time, at Level 99 in Providence. We had an absolute blast! We had food and drinks, all delicious. Occasionally, the drinks took a little while to come out, but it was a Friday night and they were busy and for that, I'd say it really wasn't a bad wait at all. The way this place is set up, is there are different rooms, with a game or puzzle inside. You scan your bracelet and if there are already people inside, it gives you the wait time. Typically most games are played in less than 5 minutes, so you aren't waiting long. There's a variety of game types, so if you're with a group, everyone's different strengths will come in handy! Pro tip: wear comfy clothes and shoes! Some games are physical and you may be moving around a lot! We played so many of the games, but definitely not all of them. I loved the variety, and that you can play with groups. This is such a fun place, and something different other than just going out for dinner. Our group had so much fun, we immediately said we'd be back again soon.

I came here with a large group and we were accommodated very well. The food is on the pricier side but portion sizes were big. I got the figgy pizza and it was delicious! Perfect mix of sweet and salty. I tried the roni roni pizza and it was good too. Both pizzas were more crust than cheese or sauce though, doesn't compare to Chicago deep dish. One of my friends got a quinoa salad and thought it had much more toppings than quinoa and greens. It took a while to be served. The entertainment was interesting. The rooms were pretty hard, even after reading instructions. Maybe my group just wasn't coordinated enough! Overall: solid team bonding place with good food, but obviously not a 5 star restaurant. Also don't mistake the rooms for being a breeze!

I had seen them advertise heavily a few months ago, when they first opened at the Providence Place Mall. I really did not know what to expect, so I went in recently to get a taste of this entertainment complex. As I walked in, there were several staff members greeting me, asking if I had any questions. The concept if of a social gaming playground featuring over 50 real-world physical and mental challenges and games, craft drinks, and elevated dining. There are some Rooms with Themed Challenges where teams of 2-6 people work together to test each one's body and mind skills. The team has a room to play, but only 1-4 minutes to complete each challenge. They also have Duels settings, where Player - vs - Player face off against each other in a variety of competitions. A great place to hang out, build some teamwork and friendship.

We heard so much hype about this place we finally tried it. We met friends but went early and enjoyed a few drinks that were tasty. The staff were very friendly upon entering the only downside is this place is located in The Providence Place Mall and parking can be tricky. We drove to the top floor and made sure no other events were happening in Providence that weekend. I wore jeans and honestly would recommend athletic wear for the various activities. We paid $15/hours which was bad because we tried almost all the rooms in that time with a group of 4. Most rooms are limited to two or four players. Fun weekend activity for all ages.

I came here for the first time and thought it was a cool concept. It definitely is more of a tourist spot but is good if you're trying to go with a little group of people. My party size had too many people so we had to split up into two groups for the rooms. It is a little pricey for admission and expect to wait for most of the rooms. We ordered drinks at the bar and those were good.

Pretty pricey but worth the memories. We played for two hours with a family of 5. Tip- check the info on how to play on the screen outside the room and before each experience. lockers are free, just find one open and follow the simple instructions on the wall. We are at the NightShift Kitchen after. Shirley temples, tea and lemonade are not free refills but soda are. It's restaurant week so two drinks and a pizza for $25. Pizza is just ok. We had the roni, roni, roni. Thick crust, very little sauce. If we ordered again, we would go with something a little different like the goat cheese and fig. We ordered the noodles. We asked for the appetizer but the waitress recommended the dish with chicken. We would not get that again. The Shirley temples were different- pink and no cherries. So what was great? The chicken dippers- more than one sauce costs $.75 extra. The hot chicken sandwich and truffle burger both with fries were the best. We also ordered nachos- we'd give them a solid 7-8 of 10. Our bill was $122 pre tip. So, for a family of 5 we spent over $350 between food and entertainment for about 3 1/2 hours (making our fun time clocking in at about $100/hr) We will be back for sure.

So fun!! Lots to do I think 2 hours is plenty wouldn't recommend for kids under 9! We didn't eat and drink but all areas for eating look good !

We went to Level99 to play some games and grub with my team. The games were fun. Some were more physical than others. I was actually tired, felt like a workout, in a good way not too intense! LOL After we ate at their restaurant. It was a nice place and our waitress was great. We got some apps, pizzas and of course dessert. Everything was delicious. Only complaint was they need blinds to keep the sun out!

Excellent fun to be had at Level 99! Level 99 is a refreshing take on arcades and game rooms. The games are designed to be self contained and many are meant to played with together with groups of people, not just one on one or solo. There's a variety of games and rooms, from twister-esque room to a climb-and-push buttons room. There's also smaller one on one games. My group of 6 really enjoyed the collaborative aspect of many of the games that Level 99 had to offer (the CCTV game was a favorite!). And there are so many! We got through maybe 50% in the two hours we were there, and a few of them we played a few times since they were so fun. It's about $35 for two hours, so it's not cheap, but I appreciated the creativity of the games and also the ability to win points and trade them in for prizes. The wristband and tap process to check into games is also seamless. Definitely going to come back for some more fun!

I came here on a weekday for a networking event hosted by the RI Providence Foundation - it was my first time visiting a Level 99 location. I loved it! They had different areas great for group networking / activities. I tried the Detroit style Roni pizza and the mushroom pizza and they were both delicious! Sooo filling! I also tried the Blackberry Bourbon Bramble and Uber Pool. I enjoyed them both - very tasty but not sure strong. I didn't play the games on this visit but I enjoyed waking around to look at the art work! In terms of parking, drive all the way to the top of the Providence mall parking deck for the easiest task. I'm already trying to coordinate a visit with my cousins! Seems like a great place to eat, drink, and have fun with friends & family.

A place of endless fun in the Providence Mall, grab your sneakers and workout clothes and beat some puzzles. LOCATION: Located inside the 3rd level of the mall, Level99 is close by the food court. The mall has free parking up to 2 hours so min hours of play is 2 hours so keep in mind that you'll end up paying $2 for parking (up to 5 hours) in the garage. ROOMS: I've been to the Natick location many times and some of the rooms in Providence are the same exact ones. There was a handful of rooms that were completely different and fun. STAFF: Super friendly staff as always! OTHER: Lockers are free which is nice to put any bags or coats in. Bathrooms are clean! Nightshift Brewery is located inside with plenty of seating to grab a bite or drink after all the fun.

While attempting to swing the rope from one ledge to the other, my nail broke from the nail bed entirely. It wasn't level 99 fault. I went to ask for a band aid. It took awhile to find an employee to help. When I told the guy, he went to find another employee. I had to sit down because things started getting dark. Then there was two people checking in on me, asking about my wound. They did bring me a bandaid, I asked for an extra bandaid to give it some pressure. I appreciated the support. The lady offered me an extra half hour of game time but I wasn't feeling well to stick around more. So we left early. The rooms were cool though. I would go back.

The botanical gardens are much more spacious than I remember there are 4 different greenhouses with a wide variety of tropical plants, trees, a kid's play space, and an herb and vegetable garden. They even have a mini koi pond with some huge koi. Everything was decorated for the holidays with multiple christmas trees, several different train sets and poinsettias everywhere. One of the train sets has a model city that is supposed to look like Providence. I love model trains so this was fun to see. I do wish they had made the settings a little bit more detailed and realistic. Overall a very cool place and a nice retreat from the coldness of winter. It's very warm and humid in there so it really does feel like you're somewhere tropical. They have some truly gigantic monsteras, jade trees and elephant ear plants. Definitely inspiring for my home plant collection! I had no idea how huge some of these plants could get under the right conditions. I do wish there were more labels on the plants - we found some interesting trees (a fruit tree that was maybe papaya) but there was no sign to indicate what it was. Check it out - a fun, family friendly spot to go on a winter weekend. And don't forget to visit the goats on the way in!

He was born as Carl Jürgen Detlef Looff in Bad Bramstedt, Holstein (now Germany) in 1852. After immigrating to the United States in 1870 at the age of 18, Looff settled in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and found work as a carver for a furniture factory. He began a hobby of taking home leftover wood scraps from the factory and carving them into carousel animals. He created his first carousel in 1876 and it became Coney Island's first carousel and amusement ride. Looff soon opened his own carousel factory in Brooklyn and continued to build more of the rides. In 1886, Looff was commissioned to build a carousel for Crescent Park (known as "the Coney Island of the East") in Rhode Island. In 1895, he moved his family there and established a new headquarters. He built a second, larger and more elaborate carousel for the amusement park. He also built an adjoining workshop and showroom for prospective buyers. Looff relocated to California in 1910 so he could build carousels for amusement parks on the West Coast. He passed away in 1918 after building close to 50 carousels. Looff is regarded as one of the most important and influential carousel builders of all time. The Slater Park Carousel was originally built for a carnival called Lee Funland in upstate New York. It was moved to Slater Park in 1910 where it still stands today. It is one of only six historic carousels in the United States which still resides in its original building. The carousel is a "stander" or stationary carousel. This means that the animal figures are designed to stand on the platform with at least three legs on the ground and they don't move up and down. This contrasts with "jumper" figures which usually move up and down and have all four legs elevated as if in mid-gallop. The Slater Park Carousel is the oldest Looff-stander carousel in the world. The platform features 44 horses, a camel, a giraffe, a lion, three dogs, and two chariots. Today the carousel is open from April through October. It operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm - 5pm (daily in July and August). Rides cost $1. My family and I recently visited the Slater Park Looff Carousel. My wife and I have been carousel enthusiasts since we visited the New England Carousel Museum a few years ago. We were spending the day in the Greater Providence Area and decided to visit the Crescent Park Looff Carousel in Riverside (which is absolutely beautiful!) We learned that Charles Looff built another carousel in 1895 that was located nearby at Slater Park, so we made a drive there afterwards. We were a little disappointed that the Slater Park Carousel's horses don't move up and down and that there isn't a brass ring device like the one featured on the Crescent Park Carousel. That being said, the Slater Park Carousel is still exceptional. All of the horses and menagerie animal figures have been beautifully carved and painted. We also noticed that this carousel moves quite fast (about 9 mph). In fact, the speed has been slowed down over the years and used to be as high as 14 mph. Overall, we had a fun experience at the Slater Park Looff Carousel and would recommend carousel enthusiasts to visit it as well as the nearby Crescent Park Looff Carousel.
