But with mom out of town for the weekend, I was looking for stuff to do with my son, and it actually seemed like a pretty solid option. He's 6 years old and plays (kid-friendly) Squid Games worlds on Roblox. It's one of his favorite things to do, actually. So when I saw that they had a Squid Games thing here, I was pretty intrigued. It was noted to be 12+ though, so I opted to not book in advance and just ask the people working here when I arrived, if it would be appropriate for him. They all universally said that it would probably be too challenging for a 6 year old. So we booked Paw Patrol instead. Walking in on a Saturday meant that we had an hour wait, which was no problem because we had plenty to do at the mall in the meantime. He absolutely loved it. He hasn't stopped talking about it in the 24 hours since we finished. It was definitely easy enough for him to figure out how to play, other than the 2nd to last game where you were supposed to herd ducks and fish into their body of water. Even I struggled with that game. But the rest of it was very manageable. It's not the cheapest way to spend an afternoon, but we will definitely be back to do this again in the future.

Mind-Blowing VR Experience at Zero Latency Houston in The Woodlands!…read more I celebrated my birthday at Zero Latency in The Woodlands, and it was hands-down the perfect choice! This was my second time here, and somehow, it was even better than the first! I went with my best friends, and from the moment we walked in, we were treated to amazing customer service--the team here really goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The game selection is fantastic! This time, I chose Space Wars over the Zombie Outbreak game, and WOW--it truly felt like stepping into another universe. The graphics are insane! The level of detail and immersion make it feel like you've actually crossed into a new dimension. I couldn't believe how real everything looked and felt, especially when you're dodging, shooting, and exploring the different environments. With pricing starting at $50 for a 30-minute session, it may seem a bit steep, but trust me--it's worth every penny! The time flies by because it's so engaging. If you're looking for a place to have a unique, adrenaline-pumping experience, Zero Latency is it. Whether you're here with family, a big group of friends, or even just as adults looking for something new and exciting, this place has something for everyone. If you're near The Woodlands Mall, do yourself a favor and check out Zero Latency Houston. I can't recommend it enough--my friends and I already can't wait to come back for round three!

I was really tip toeing over bridges like I was trying not to fall lol. And don't try to use the ledge to get up from the floor, it's not there lmao. The staff must have a great time cracking up watching people. My only complaint is that the picture quality in the pirate game wasn't that clear. I tried the adjustment in the headset and it didn't help. I want to come back and try the zombie game.

Some parts of the game were a little confusing, but that's what made it better. You have to rely on team strategy, communication, and logic to get through each round. Otherwise, you're not making it far. For a Sunday, it wasn't crowded at all. The check-in process was very straightforward. Our game started about 30 minutes late because we were waiting for someone in our party, but the host was super gracious and still gave us the full time since no one was scheduled after us. I was confused at first why drinks were even offered, but by round three it got warm, and I absolutely saw the need to hydrate. I loved that they had a tripod so you could record your own footage, and the boomerang they take of your group at the end was a nice touch. One tech hiccup though happened when some of the headbands weren't picking up my friends' movements. The host explained afterwards that it was likely because of their hair. Something to keep in mind for my big hair girlies... Definitely more fun than I expected. Would go back for a date, group hang, or team-building session. Good for all ages.
