It is an eclectic mix of over 100,000 books on every genre from books to comics to magazines. It was nostalgic to see a complete collection of Nancy Drew books, a series I read as a child. They also had a large area devoted to comics in the front of the store. If you seek used or rare books, this is the top choice to come in the area. The door is locked and you need staff to let you inside the store. There is a shared parking lot behind the store, which was very much appreciated.

The books were in great shape and cheaper than other used bookstores I'd visited recently. It's like buying brand new books, but for literally half the price. I'm more than happy to give my money to this store rather than Amazon.

This is still such a wonderful place with a great selection of music and so many cool retail items at a great value. Expertly curated and displayed. Still, my most favorite record store I've ever been to anywhere! Moved to California 30+ years ago and every time I'm in town I gotta take a peek and do that whole nostalgia trip in my head-if only the walls could talk, OH MY! I love the creaking floors as you walk across the showroom remembering those sounds heard in the basement packing my own orders to ensure in stock items were shipped. The cast of characters that visited and cool musicians- one day Devo came popping through handing out 3-D buttons with those flower pot looking things on their heads and strange jumpsuits. "It's not too late To whip it Into shape Shape it up Get straight Go forward Move ahead" my daughter wore my old jacket from 1979 (in picture) . The nice staff were very friendly and enamored with the jacket and the manager took some pictures which gave my daughter a huge tickle. I think the cat's name is Bob Fuchs and he's been there since the late '80s and a good ambassador of the brand and so kind to indulge us. This is a must visit if you're ever in Minneapolis set aside some time it's worth every minute!

Any new book that I hear about and want to buy, they invariably have in stock, alongside a wonderful selection of titles I may not have realized existed. They're the kind of place that gets me excited about the world, even if they also remind me there will never be enough time to read everything I want to. I've been to a ton of independent bookstores in the Twin Cities, and Moon Palace is the best. Heck, I've been to a ton of bookstores in a lot of cities, and if Moon Palace isn't the best anywhere, I can't think of one better right now.

This shop is also awesome in that they are very inclusive of all types of people from difference backgrounds and they are very openly advocates for many important causes!

Wow... it's been around 2 months or more Thursday-Sunday we just have to listen to disco, thumping…read more8-10 hours a day. Wouldn't matter what the selection is it's just extremely rude. Asked the store owner/lady DJing if she could just bring the speakers inside and/or turn it down and got an extremely hostile reaction. I don't like bashing businesses but we are a community and when someone asks politely to not blast your music through concert speakers with your doors open you'd think that would be understandable. She's says she needs to get people in, perhaps just a better selection or different advertising instead of forcing the entire neighborhood to listen to your music for 10 hours a day? Really sucks....
