Wasn't a deal breaker but seemed a reasonable request. The collection was well organized and labeled and in really good condition--not just thrown into a bin or binder. The person told me they could go through all of it right then within 15-20 minutes because "it was just all bulk". It was absolutely not all bulk cards but ok I thought whatever let's see what they offer. After waiting over an hour, they offered me $35 for all of the cards. Um yeah absolutely not. Went to a different store, waited a few days and got offered $170 AND got almost half of the cards back. I had had a positive experience here previous but that price differential is just completely insane and unacceptable and I would hate for this to happen to someone else who really needs the extra cash. Go to Dreamer's Vault on Hiawatha to sell your cards--don't waste your time here!!

That's above MSRP, but still reasonable if you can't find them at retail. Yesterday, before making the 30-minute drive, I called again to confirm prices. I asked about Prismatic Evolutions, Pokémon 151, and Scarlet & Violet. The employee knew some of the prices himself but asked a female coworker to help with and confirm the others. I could clearly hear their conversation over the phone. Between the two of them, they quoted Prismatic Evolutions at $15 per pack, Pokémon 151 at $30 per pack, and Scarlet & Violet at $9 per pack. After confirming the prices, the employee repeated them to me, so I made the drive based on the information they gave me. When I arrived, the Scarlet & Violet packs were marked $12 each. I told them I had literally just called and was quoted $9 per pack. Instead of acknowledging that the wrong price had been given over the phone, the female employee denied that anyone had ever quoted me $9 and even claimed that no one had spoken to me on the phone. That made absolutely no sense since I had called less than 30 minutes earlier, heard the employee ask her for help confirming prices, and then heard the prices they gave me. The extra $3 per pack wasn't even the biggest issue. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the dishonesty and refusal to simply say, "I'm sorry, we gave you the wrong price over the phone." Instead, they acted like I was making it up. To make things worse, another customer laughed and said, "The price is $12 for you, haha." Whether it was a joke or not, it made the experience even worse. What they don't realize is that if they had simply honored the quoted price--or even admitted the mistake--I was prepared to spend a couple thousand dollars that day on ETBs, booster packs, and singles. Instead, they lost a customer over $3 a pack and the way they handled the situation. It felt like a bait-and-switch. They tell you one price over the phone, charge a different price when you arrive, and then deny ever giving you the original quote or even speaking to you. Customer service and honesty go a long way, and this place showed me exactly how they treat customers. Save yourself the drive, your time, and your money. There are plenty of better card shops that deserve your business.

Not only do they have comics but toys, trading cards, and sports cards. We picked up a few cards and comics from their back issue bins. They do not have a lot of new issues to choose from. If you are looking for a new series, they may need to special order it for you. They also seem to have many autograph signings here which is cool. We will definitely be back!

Top dollar they say bs. 2 days after they offered me I sold one of my comics for $100. They ruined two of my comics while they were looking too. Bent them. And they don't know comics. They have the most valuable old comics memorized but don't know the other newer comics that people like and want that has value. They also don't understand condition matters. They just see all comics as 2$ even low print comics. They don't understand yes low print is easy to find but not NM conditions. They only pay less than a dollar for any comics no matter the condition.

There's a TON of inventory in the back room waiting to be organized and put out, but I get that takes a while. It didn't feel the most shopper-ready yet. My brother found some things he was excited about, and I found a few unique books! The owner is so kind and has plans to do DND and game nights as well as music nights with all their space. 3 books was ~$40 so not the most affordable prices, but I'm not super tuned in with what comic books run. I think in a few more months the space will be more visitor-ready with more inventory available to look through!

They are in a new location since our last visit (used to be in Eagan). Per usual, everyone was friendly and helpful. I found a Harriet Tubman comic that I didn't even know existed. I bought the two copies they had. Everything was well organized and easy to peruse both the free and paid comics they have. This space is much smaller than their previous location. Fortunately, everyone was masked, which made us feel more at ease. One of the things I really love about this place, in addition to the fact that it's POC owned, is that I can be an all-out geek and nerd without getting any side eye. Chatting with the staff is fun and I always learn something new. I don't follow the comic world closely, so getting an update and to see the excitement of the person talking is quite infectious. It's probably why I've yet to spend less than $40 when we go there. Whether it's FCBD or not, this is the play for comics, graphic novels, and all kinds of things that you'll not find anywhere else. When I arrived - few minutes after opening, I was greeted by friendly employees. We had a short conversation like they asked what do I play. I like that it was casual and I never felt uncomfortable browsing the store. I never felt pressured to buy anything. They had tables in the back of the store for tournaments. The staff was helpful to help me locate certain cards - they were not able to tell me if the card was in stock, but they looked up the card and was able to point which box the card may be located in. (At the time, it looks like they were updating their cards/inventory/pricing. They found the card I was looking for and hand it to me.) Again, the place felt casual because even though I found my card, I kept browsing and they let me look through. I'm glad they didn't say, "will that be all for today" after finding the card I was looking for. Overall, I will be back for more cards.

I dropped the truck off for repair, and while I understood repairs can sometimes take a while, the process took a very long time. Eventually, I received one phone call letting me know the repair had been completed. Unfortunately, after 90 days of not picking it up, I later learned that the truck had been surrendered. What's hardest for me to understand is that I never received a second phone call, voicemail, warning, or any kind of notice that my truck was about to be surrendered. Not one. What makes this especially frustrating is that over the years I've received numerous phone calls from the store over much smaller things -- special-ordered parts, minor items, and other routine pickups. So it's difficult for me to understand why there wasn't more effort made to contact me over something worth nearly $2,000 and carrying so much personal value. This hobby store means a lot to me personally. My late father used to take me there when I was younger, and some of my best memories with him came from spending time there together. These days, I love bringing my own two children there and sharing the same hobby with them. That's why this situation feels so devastating. It wasn't just an RC truck to me. It represented years of memories, time, money, and something meaningful I shared across generations of my family. I understand businesses have policies, and I'm not trying to attack anyone personally. I just truly wish more effort had been made before permanently surrendering something that clearly meant so much to a longtime customer. I still hope there's some way this situation can be made right.
