NO added sugars even in the sauces. Hatice's knowledge & passion about food and it being a source of health and healing is rare to find, and shows in every meal. We could customize it to be what we needed-so I had keto-friendly with mostly protein and vegetables and beef, chicken, vegetarian options. The cost was about $10 per meal then, and it was delivered every Sunday evening. She used plastic containers that we could reuse or send back, in reusable insulated bags. The food continued to be very tasty and a great alternative to restaurant type food where there is often too much butter, salt, or sugar. Highly recommended. I usually reheated at work in the microwave. But you can do it at home, in a separate oven friendly container or steamed with water or sauté with a non saturated fat oil like canola, sunflower, avocado, etc. in a pan. Bon appetit! read more

I'm thoroughly impressed with this company. I'm on my second week of the paleo meals which are conveniently delivered to me. They taste incredible. I was worried that I'd be getting boring tedious meals but these are packed with flavor and really creative. I also love that the meals are delivered twice a week (Monday very early morning and Thursday very early morning) This ensures the meals are freshly prepared rather than having to eat something on Friday that was prepared 5 days prior. This saves me so much time, tastes great and the price is reasonable. If I could make any suggestions I'd ask that they add more side sauces to the dishes. Level-up meals is a great nutrition service for those that are short on time and desire healthy foods. I recently turned to level-up to help with my nutritional needs. Their website is very informative about the Paleo lifestyle, and their prices are reasonably affordable considering you'll be spending a lot less time in the kitchen and grocery stores. All you have to do is pick up your food at a nearby crossfit gym (you don't have to be a member of the gym). I made my first few meals these past couple days and am impressed with how great the meals taste and how easy the meals are to prepare. You can microwave the food inside the container it comes in, or transfer onto a pan or convection oven. Nothing has to be added, but I would suggest to add a tbsp of water if you're going to reheat using a pan. This will prevent the meat from over-drying (a tip I learned from one of the cookbooks I bought prior). I'm looking forward to reaching my fitness goals and will update results in the future, along with how the experience was with the new diet (this time around I'll be more strict). read more

Disappointing! Fake Instagram followers! Takes away credibility of five star reviews! I really wanted to find a meal delivery company and had high hopes for this one after seeing the reviews. Doing my research I went to their Instagram account and saw they had nine thousand plus followers. That to me was credible. Being an avid Instagram patron I quickly learned that the followers were not legit. Looking at their posts and seeing less than 10 likes for something and looking further into the followers spelled disaster. Business and credibility go hand and hand. It takes companies time to develop a credible rapport with clients and customers. This is something hard worked for. I am a small business owner myself and took it personally to see these activities. Now I do not know if the five star reviews are authentic or manufactured. To state this is not a knock on the product they give to the customers, but the ethics they portray to the consumer. A delightful lady named Hatice is the chef, and she provides excellent customer service! She is always, warm, friendly and accommodating to my preferences. She includes fruit, nuts and seeds which are a balanced part of the Paleo diet. She also does an excellent job of serving pure high quality food at very reasonable prices. I have to admit the price is good and the delivery is excellent. The portion size is good. The protein is top quality. The downside is the vegetables are bland and boring. My wife and I decided to try them out for a week and had high hopes. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the food. They were all pretty flavorless and I had to constantly doctor them up with aminos, hot sauce or fish sauce. This was a surprise because I've made paleo dishes that were really delicious. I've also used other paleo food services in other parts of the country and their food was awesome. So I was expecting the same quality here. No cigar. Also, for certain meals you have to remove the part of the meal you wanted heated up in the microwave. I found this a bit inconvenient and messy. Not a major issue but didn't help their cause. One thing in particular from a customer service standpoint that I wasn't fond of is the weekly menu isn't a la carte. You have to take that week's menu in it's entirety. They will make exceptions if you have allergies or really don't like something. But if you like their...I dunno...beef stew and all you want is that for the week you can't. So that's a bit of a bummer. I get that it's probably easier for them but it sucks that you can't really customize your order. Ordering and pickup were nice and easy, though. Too bad that was the best part of using this service. If the food tasted better I'd totally use them again. I guess their style of cooking just isn't a match with my taste buds. I purchased the recurring lunch dinner 5 days a week... I pick up meals mon-wed on Monday at the nearest crosscut in ocean beach and then pick meals for thurs-fri on Thursday. Let me just say life changing, delicious meals, and incredible convenience. I like to cook but my job doesn't allow for a whole lot of time to prep and I travel every couple of weeks so this has been such a bonus for my busy work life. Filling, great variety in taste and super easy to prepare. I love it so much I've been raving about it at work and know some of my work peeps are going to try this out. The gym I picked it up from might even get my business because they were so amiable. I have been ordering Level Up meals for a few weeks now. I had been ordering from a competitor service on and off for a year or so and I have to say that Level Up is heads and shoulders above. They deliver twice a week. Their containers are flat plastic and easy to store and microwave. No cutting up packages and finding your own container at the office. The labeling is great and they have specific instructions, including when the food will be too old (and you should toss it). Their meals are very creative....good use of spices.... and minimal, but effective, use of fruit and nuts. Right now I am eating Chicken tettrazini with light mushrooms and capers, combined with spaghetti squash "pasta" seasoned lightly with dill and a pineapple slice on the side. wow. The other day I had a jamaican jerk chicken with nuts and light cranberries, that was combined with tomatoes and cooked dandelion greens. I have even been taking pictures of my lunches.... I am that excited about them! I think the price is extremely fair especially considering the convenience, the time I gain by not shopping, meal planning and cooking, and the help staying me on track with healthy eating. The customer service is fantastic. Emails are responded to quickly. The couple of times there's been a mistake, they fix it. For example, the first week, they only dropped off half our order at our pickup spot. What did they do? Apologize and hand-deliver the other half directly to where I was. The food is pretty good.
