We had such a great experience celebrating my dad's retirement at Pro Five Brewery! From my first call, their team (Nick and Rudy) was reassuring, cordial, and incredibly easy to work with. They were one of the few places I found that could comfortably accommodate a large group, they take reservations for parties of up to 36 but will work with you to meet your event needs. They made planning easy by allowing us to pre-order shareable plates and set up drink tickets for our guests. The food was delicious! The shareable menu had somewhat limited vegetarian options, but it wasn't an issue since we were able to order additional vegetarian dishes from the regular menu. They also let you bring in your own small deserts so we brought in mini-Bundt cakes and it was the perfect compliment. Keep in mind, they don't have space for you to place food in their fridges so we did have some melted frosting but nothing we couldn't work around. What really stood out was how attentive and flexible the staff was throughout the evening, forgive me for not remembering everyone's names but our even was on 9/25 :) so you know who you are! We were originally set up at picnic tables, but once they saw that we had a slightly older crowd, they had no problem moving us to a more comfortable table setup. That small gesture was really appreciated. The space itself is great for gatherings. The indoor area is a bit smaller than the outdoor seating area, so the patio gives larger groups plenty of room to spread out. They're also dog-friendly, which is always a nice bonus! We loved playing with Ollie :) The live music was another highlight. "Checkered Daydreams" was fantastic! The band fed off the energy of our group, and our group fed right back into theirs. They adjusted their music and creating the perfect vibe for dancing. It made the celebration that much more fun and memorable. Our party ran from about 5:45 PM to just before 9 PM, which ended up being the perfect amount of time. Even with a large party and live music happening, service was timely and the crew remained attentive throughout the night.

As an avid beer drinker, Rescue Brewery is one of my go-to breweries in the area. It is always clean, has friendly staff, and has great brews and food! Before sitting down, you're supposed to order your beers with the nice beertenders at the front. I usually get the Haze Against The Machine. They also have a good menu and a happy hour! I had ordered their garlic fries and their poke nachos. The beertenders gives you a number, then you can display it at the table of your choice. The atmosphere inside is nice' they have cute string lights placed all around. They're also usually playing modern music or country. It does get a bit loud in there dependent on how many people are inside. Their garlic fries are very crispy and have garlic pieces sprinkled on top. The sauce it comes with is addicting. My favorite is definitely their poke nachos! It has an abundant amount of tuna sprinkled over it with jalapeños, pickled onions, pickled radishes, and their delicious sauce. I have spinach and cheese ones one time. The pizza I got today was a supreme and the crust is good but there's pretty much zero sauce, I don't understand that. Dry af. There was a lot of pride representation and support scattered around, too. This brewery is also very supportive of pet adoption as it is advertised on their coasters. I was able to see the brewery cat for the first thirty minutes. So adorable! I had ordered their Purple Haze Hazy IPA twice! It quenched my thirst on a super hot day! They had AC fans going and it was nice inside. The beertenders were sweet and you can tell they're a good time! Nearly the time we left, they had live performers singing on stage. The walls and counters display art by local artists. LGBTQ + flags are present. You got games available to play over here and community fliers to peruse over there. Wanna buy some jewelry by an Indy artist? Got that too! Overall, the vibe here is cozy, welcoming, friendly, and really feels like a hub for folks to gather over a pint. My friend liked her beer, but she likes hers icy cold, so she said she would've enjoyed it more if it had been colder.
