A friend of mine and I were on vacation in Miami Beach and took a Lagree class at Level One. I already did Lagree a lot of times, but the megaformer was a little different from the one I know back in California, so the instructor gave us a quick introduction. The whole atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly from the beginning and the workout was definitely a good and hard one! To quote my friend:"it was one of the best Lagree classes I've ever had"! If we would live here, we would definitely show up regularly! To all those negative comments about closed doors when they showed up late: you get more than one email where you can clearly read that you have to be there 10 minutes before the class starts and you cannot participate if you are late! And I personally love that! It's highly disrespectful to show up late and interrupt the others attendees. Plan your time better and just show up on time. It's easy as that! I had rated this spot without writing a review but then got an email from the owners. I went here once when I first moved here. The space is very clean and it's a small class which seemed like a plus. I had a lot of trouble with the workout and the positions. I had never used a machine like this before and was really struggling. Hans, the instructor, kept getting frustrated and angry with me for not understanding what to do and made me feel so stupid for physically not being able to do some of the movements due to previous injury. I left feeling very bad about myself and very upset with the treatment I faced. I'm used to more welcoming and helpful coaching so maybe I'm just not used to rudeness and aggressiveness. I have since found other spots that I feel leaving great with very helpful coaches and a happier environment. Also don't seem to take constructive criticism well since they get defensive of any bad reviews and aggressively reach out to you. Super weird. My friend goes to this place and likes it so I guess it depends on who you are and what kind of environment you like. I will say it is a good and intense workout. Probably will get a mean response to this rather than any sort of accountability or apology but let's see I guess. Also re: the email I attached. The only workout that matters! Ladies if you want to really shape your body like an hourglass, start here 2x a week and rest in between those two sessions. Rest is key to building that booty I've been training here since May and it still kicks my ass Also for the babies complaining about being locked out of class for showing up late... the flow of the routine begins and ends in a particular order. the right side and left side are activated at different times in the class so even if you miss just the first exercise, you will not get that balance back. Horrible experience I came here and nowhere in the description did it say I was required to have specific socks and they yelled at me about that so I ran back home. I got the right socks and I came back and they locked the door on me and would not let me in because I was a couple minutes late even though I went and I got the right socks they were demanding I buy their $20 socks super rude, horrible experience do not come here I have a screenshot as proof that they did not say you had to bring the socks. All they said was be on time and I was. I have a screenshot of the description, and it says to be on time, but nothing about the socks being required. At the end of the day they locked me out of the studio and stared at me through the glass so that's unacceptable no matter what. read more

Absolutely horrible service. The workout would have been enjoyable if the owners were not so rude. I wanted to modify some of the Pilates moves as I have a sensitive back. I was told I was not allowed to modify. Then, When I went to pick up my phone as my sons school was calling, I was told I was not allowed to pick up calls for any reason whatsoever. If I hadn't picked up the phone I wouldn't have known my son had been sick and needed me to pick him up from school. The studio went as far as to contact class pass( who I booked through) and made them aware that I am not following "policy". Be aware before entering this studio. read more

I have been to many many many reformers, I've used all kinds of machines including the one t this studio. it's about service and client first this was not my first rodeo and all the paperwork can clearly be done after the class of you were interested in clients. Locking the door and not acknowledging a person standing outside is bad manners, horrifying experience and bad management. there's no way around it. read more

I have been practicing Lagree for 10 years and was so happy to find Level One by Lagree when I moved back to Miami last year. Whether you are new to Lagree or have taken it, I can't recommend this studio enough! It is the only true Lagree Method studio on South Beach, and Adela and Jurgen are excellent instructors. They pay close attention to form--and form is everything in Lagree! It's a challenging, full-body, 0-impact workout that will change your body. It's also worth noting that, because of how it's designed (to bring your muscles to fatigue), Lagree is always challenging--no matter how long you have been doing it. You can also add springs for some moves as well to increase resistance. I highly recommend you give this amazing studio a try! read more

Hands down, Level One is the best lagree studio i've ever been to in south florida. I've tried so many, but always come back to Level One. I really enjoy every class here. The owners always give 100% and the classes are challenging! Unlike other workouts you are constantly pacing yourself in slow/controlled movements for a while so although you really feel your muscles working it is very focused and low impact. I tried lagree in LA where it started and I am really glad that Miami has a legit studio with great trainers! read more

Had a great workout my first time here today! It was very challenging but I definitely got my money's worth. I was engaged the whole time and we worked on different muscle groups. If I could give this 0 stars I would. it takes a lot for me to write a review because most times I like to think some people are having off days and let it go but this one threw me out there. I'm a class pass user & I've been to many Pilates classes and It was my first time trying level one & I am beyond disappointed. I booked a 9am class, left my house with enough time to arrive at the recommended time of 8:50 but due to traffic increasing I arrived at the class at 8:59 only to find the door locked. The instructor not even acknowledging the fact that I was standing there waving at her, looked me dead in the face and ignored me. Clearly that's why there was only one person in the class. They do send an email asking participants to arrive 10 minutes earlier, however it does not mention that it is absolutely necessary to be there at 8:50, and I wouldn't have thought otherwise considering the posted class time is 9AM and not 8:50am. If the 10 minutes before the class begin are that crucial that she is willing to rudely lock the door in a customers face, then maybe it should be mentioned in the email that if you do not arrive on time you will not be allowed to participate, that way no one wastes their time. Not to mention that she took my reservation off ClassPass so I can't even leave a review, hence why they have 4.9 stars on class pass. Had I checked Google/Yelp reviews and not the ones she's controlling on class pass I would have never EVER booked. read more

I had obliques after 5 classes! I live that they offer som many classes on the hour, all day and the natural lighting is awesome, music is Jude not so loud like other reformer Pilates classes. These guys are more hands on correcting your moves so you get the best workout unlike a lot of other places in miami. I am addicted!! read more

Today was my 7th session, I feel much stronger and see the definitions already. I actually started to see my abs after 3rd session. It is a wonderful class. In every session I get to do and learn a new movement. The instructors are professional, caring, careful and attentive. They (both are equally good) have been watching my movements and instructed me all through the class which is extremely important to me. When session starts they are with you and everything else outside the class will be ignored. Capacity is 7, which makes it a semi private class. Class is organized and environment is clean. I was truly so excited to try Level One as I'm a huge Pilates fan and am always looking for new studios to explore. I have never written a bad review in my life, but I had such a disappointing experience, I felt the need to do so. Since it was my first time attending the class, I made sure to arrive early so I wouldn't be late. I'm not very familiar with the west ave area but still managed to arrive a few minutes early. I was only ONE MINUTE late to the class because I was looking for the studio. (The address is misleading as the 959 building is also a parking garage!!) and the instructor Adelina rudely pointed to the sign at the door that stated "unable to walk-in once class begins." I tried mouthing to her through the window that it was my first time at the studio and I was just looking for the building (I was ONE MINUTE late) and she shrugged her shoulders, rolled her eyes, and walked away. There should absolutely be at least a 3 minute grace period, especially for first timers.... And if there isn't, note that on your Classpass page! The rude interaction I had with the instructor left such a poor taste in my mouth idk if I could ever attend this studio again, and I will definitely make sure to let all of my Pilates ladies know to beware. I seriously cannot believe I got charged a fee for missing this class because I was 60 seconds late..... read more

My life policy is to exalt and nurture positivity. Unfortunately, I must share this review that should serve more as an "ALERT" for Seniors and/or those who wish to come to this place and are not in Medium to Top physical fitness; particularly for those who are working on recovering or regaining physical health. After an accident that required a year in Physical Therapy, I have regained enough strength to engage in other physical routines (With my Dr approval and recommendations). After years of doing Pilates in the past (Mat/Reformer/Allegro) I felt confident to start taking classes in different studios. This came with a very encouraging result. All trainers were empathetic, encouraging and challenging for which I am forever grateful. Then, I decided to try a studio that was near home and happened to be like perfect because they appear under the category "Pilates" as "Level One"!!! Isn't that like a direct conclusion: Pilates - Level One!!! Here comes the reality check during my visit: Basic hello, first thing that comes in is this WAIVER, that I now understand why it is so important. Explanation/description of the equipment followed, here comes the first perception: In general: Very "Cold Blooded" people. He describes the equipment; he couldn't care less if you understood, or if you had any questions. Then, the second trainer comes in to start the routine. No empathy at all. She just wants to Just to follow a cookie cooker timed routine.! I was engaged in a routine that clearly/visibly put me in danger of an injury considering my personal challenges! (Thank god it was a class of one: ME). I stopped the session as I sensed imminent danger of causing another injury. Last thing that I want/need!!!! I am pretty sure I am not the first and/or only one who experienced this, therefore the WAIVER. Putting my thoughts together afterwards, the message I got from them: You are not fit for this /enough to be welcome . I'll show you why not. Go somewhere else! Rather than: We are your partner. We are with you, like any other studio would have made you feel. At the very least, they could have said it first hand the good American way: Hey! this is tough, are you sure?, We are not designed your you!. Too cold-blooded people here!!!. I most certainly dislike the false advertisement of a "Pilates" studio tied with the "Level One" name. Again, pretty sure I am not the first one who fell in this. Summary: Seniors and/or those who are not in medium or Top physical fitness, STAY AWAY!! Avoid a frustration. read more
