He was able to completely transform our previously cold and humid basement into the nicest room in the house. Additionally, he added a full bath, laundry room, upgraded the service panel, installed a French drain, HVAC system and egress window. His guys also build us a wall of cabinets and doors, really maximizing our storage area. A real life saver, you won't be disappointed. Professional, reasonable and knowledgeable I would recommend Aureli Construction for any project.

The great thing about Dan and his team is even after the construction was done he still answered my calls and has come back to do several additional projects years later. Most recently, Dan and his team finished my basement. It has been 8 years since the initial renovation and I am still super happy with the work and quality! What really sets Dan and his team apart is they listens to their clients and hears their request and concerns. We had one minor setback in my project and Dan's commitment to resolution was impressive. In my experience, no project is 100% smooth so knowing that Dan and his team can overcome the snags is HUGE to me! If you're looking for skilled professionals who deliver great results and truly get your vision, I highly recommend Aureli Construction. You won't be disappointed - they exceeded my expectations!

I cant say enough about IDR and his crew, they are extremely easy to work with, honest and hardworking, and delivered beautiful results. His crew helped me realize my vision with many custom configurations and designs professionally! He's currently helping us with our second home with a larger project of bathroom addition and kitchen island addition, and I think we will hire him without a doubt for any future projects too!

Ian took the time to talk on the phone when I first reached out about the project and the scope of work. He even reviewed some drawings I had done of the space and pointed out some things to think about for the layout (such as if we moved the fridge, we'd have to make sure we could access a water line for the ice maker). Ian met with us at the house to talk about the project, and we engaged Ian and IDR shortly thereafter. All told, the renovation took about 4 weeks, which was a great timeline and we are very pleased with how it came out. Ian was responsive, polite, and overall a pleasure to work with, and his subcontractors were polite, unobtrusive and cleaned up each day. We were fortunate in that we had a clear vision of what we wanted (which made the design process easy), but Ian truly helped bring that vision to life and thought of ways to make it better that we hadn't thought of, all while never being pushy or disrespectful. We highly recommend Ian and the IDR team and we look forward to the opportunity to work with him again.

We had our kitchen renovated and even after we hit a major snag and had a few hiccups, they remained dedicated to completing the job well, rather than rushing through. There were a few instances where our finished surfaces weren't covered after installation and work was still going on (cabinets, countertop, floors) and it would have been great to have them protected right after installation without us asking, but nonetheless they always followed through on our requests and respected our wishes as the homeowners and the finished kitchen came out great. The crew was respectful and we always felt like they really worked hard to ensure we were happy. Beckmann construction very clearly knows what they are doing and are great at it. We would definitely recommend them!

They did an incredible job--delivering high-quality work on time and on budget, which is no small task given the age and quirks of the property. Their team went above and beyond, working with great attention to detail and cleaning as they went. Mark and Nick made sure no shortcuts were taken, and the craftsmanship truly shows. Because of the excellent experience we had, we've already hired Andaz to replace our roof. They are a fantastic company to work with, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, detail-oriented, and professional construction services.

This is now the second time we've worked with Rod and his crew. After interviewing several…read morecontractors to gut our small bathroom with a non-ideal layout, we ultimately went with Rod. Rod renovated our bathroom in May of 2017 and we were so delighted with the result (he turned it into our dream bathroom that we thought wasn't possible given the poor layout of the original), that we ended up hiring Rod to also renovate our kitchen in May of 2018. Neither of these were easy tasks since we live in an old Cambridge home that was built in 1916, but we couldn't be happier with the quality of Rod's work. The best thing about Rod is that he is reliable, he does what he says he will, and he will not stop until you are happy with the finished product. He is also just a really good guy. For example, he helped us repair some nursery furniture when it arrived damaged, just because he is a nice guy. If you're looking for a reliable contractor that does great work, look no further than Cambridge Home Renovations.

Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience with Rod Vaca and Cambridge Home Renovations…read more This was surprising since we had a positive first impression of Rod, and were impressed with his reviews online. I strongly recommend against using Rod's services. We paid an unnecessarily high price for our reno, yet received low quality work, and went through an exhausting and unpleasant process. After more than 8 months, our renovation is still unfinished and Rod stopped responding. We are now pursuing legal action. We hired Rod in September 2020 to renovate our home. Rod's team worked on multiple rooms, doing woodwork, painting, and finally, doing a small remodel of our kitchen. Rod charged a high price for our kitchen, but he assured us of high quality workmanship. Then we went out of town and Cambridge Home Renovations performed poor quality work while we were gone. Our kitchen shelves were not level, the window trim had gaps, our range hood was twisted and not level, and they left an electric plate in the middle of our wall. Rod said deficiencies would be fixed later on the "Punch List" and told us our payment for the kitchen was due immediately. We trusted him and we paid him. It is 8 months later and Rod has not returned to fix the Punch List items. In addition to the kitchen deficiencies, he also left gaps in our expensive wainscoting, peeling paint in our bathroom, and a light switch that doesn't work. Sadly, Rod is attempting to gaslight us and tell us these deficiencies are not his responsibility. For example, he said the kitchen shelves are fine, yet they are very slanted. Rod refuses to acknowledge that they are not level. We cannot believe the thousands of dollars we paid for these low quality, slanted shelves. It has been a sad and exhausting experience. It's not worth your risk to work with him. If you do hire Rod Vaca, be prepared to actively manage his team and regularly perform QC checks on their work, otherwise they will cut corners. You will need to confront Rod regularly about the workmanship. Do not pay him until everything is adequate. Do not believe him when he says things will be fixed "on the Punch List". He will simply stop responding and leave your Punch List money behind. The most disappointing part is how Rod repeatedly gaslighted us. He will say that the deficiencies are due to problems with your home. He will make you feel uncomfortable and unreasonable when you highlight deficiencies. But unless you do this, Rod's team will do sloppy work whenever possible.

We spent 20k in design costs with them but never moved forward with the project, as the final construction proposal was 100k more than the budget we provided when we hired them (300k vs 400k+). Not only were the costs higher, but the scope only covered about 75% of what was in the original proposal. They seriously managed to propose a project for $400k that would have left KNOB AND TUBE WIRING IN MY CHILDREN'S BEDROOMS! On top of that the owner was extremely unpleasant to work with and was consistently belligerent and wasted our time. She wouldn't even give us the architectural drawings we had paid for when we wouldn't sign the construction agreement. I have waited all this time to post this review because I wanted to have a fair comparison against a different contractor. I'm happy to say we recently completed the project with a different company, and for under $500k we got completely new electric, HVAC, a new kitchen and two new bathrooms. And this was during and after the pandemic when prices were sky rocketing. If you have money to burn I'd highly recommend Charlie Allen, but otherwise if stay far away from them.

The project designer walked us through the selections and set us up with local vendors who were terrific to work with. We knew exactly what we were going to spend and the time line before the construction started. Our project manager was so great to work with and talented. In addition to organizing the project he did much of the carpentry work. He was attentive to every detail. I came up with new ideas for us which we loved.
