Looks good with lots of street and some vert--no bikes, no spectators, no cameras.

We were coming from a scooter competition at Woodward West in Tehachapi. The Vault Pro Scooters have been doing a skate park tour with their scooter professionals. Since I photograph at skate parks, this looked like a laid back opportunity after two full days that produced 2700+ photos, with an opportunity to photograph more scooter pros. I know, people think Walmart and $99 when you say scooter. This is hardly the situation. Imagine someone 50 feet into the air on a $400 scooter. That happened on Saturday, and I was recording it. In any case, my buddy really wanted to see these people and even though we didn't know what they were going to do, they were doing it at this skate park, and it was on the way back north. The skate park looks good with both vert and street skating. It's open to skateboards, inline skates, and scooters. Bikes are not welcome, for some odd reason. Helmets are required. I was a bit annoyed because there is a rule that there can be no spectators and photographers can only be inside the skate park on a skateboard, inline skates, or a scooter, wearing a helmet. Also, you can only photograph specific people, as they're concerned about privacy--or lawsuits. (The Vault Pro Scooters people could have called ahead to Parks & Recreation to get a special dispensation, and I told the main person of their group this for a possible next time.) There was a lawsuit concerning a spectator who caused an accident with a skateboard rider and she apparently sued the city. You'd think that the parents would have been suing her for causing the accident. In any case, the rules are fairly restrictive for everyone. Even crossing the line at the main gate will cause a security person to tell you to move back. Today, there was also a woman with a baby who tried to enter because she wanted to help her older child. Thankfully, they wouldn't allow her to enter. Imagine her and her baby being hit because she couldn't move out of the way quickly enough. There are other good parks but I'm sure local people will find it fun.

This is a really nice skate park for rollerskates, blades, scooters and skateboards only. Very nice smooth concrete surfaces and lots of rails. Summer hours 9/2020 are 5-9pm daily. FresNO parks are closed- so come to Clovis!

    The cool looking entrance.

No bikes allowed. We got there and some guy came out and said me and my brother could not ride bikes there.

Don't waste your time. Elbow pads and knee pads required even for teenagers??! No wonder no one is here.

Letterman Park - We saw baby ducklings

Anywho, the dude and I come here before the Pandemic and I can tell you that traffic definitely increased when the pandemic occurred as we would not see many people. Anywho, the first time I came to this park which is just across the street from our living quarters. The first time Clovis PD was there removing the homeless camps. Behind Letterman park there is a beautiful canal that has a princess path to get to it and this is where we saw duck couples and followed the same duck couple until they had babies of their own and started to feed their family. The park has a skate park attached to it, grassy areas, play structures and seating. Over the 5 or 6 months we have been frequenting this park we have seen which the pandemic came through and they had to shut down the park by putting caution tap all around. We seen people camp out here, do exercise classes and homeless roaming which he didn't see a lot of that before the pandemic. We walk out there all hours of the day and night. We bring flash lights as it gets pretty dark. We have met a lot of amazing people like a woman for the past 17 years will come out and feed abandoned domestic cats which there are about 10 of them. A really cool homeless dude that gives us updates on our duck babies and action going on. Teens out late probably up to no good. Met a father of three who was a cool dude who was laid off due the pandemic and his kiddos were so adorable! We see Clovis PD in back of the park all the time! So this park gets A LOT of action. However since it's so close we come here A LOT and will continue to do pandemic or not!

We arrived to an empty playground, which for me is fine because we have it all to ourselves. It was…read moreclean and great rock wall and slides and stuff foe the kiddo, there was a screw that was coming off the actual structure so that probably needs to be fixed, but otherwise it was nice. A great green grassy area was there with huge trees for shade that was great to run around in and little stands to watch the skateboarders although we just climbed up and down them. Overall I would come back, we stayed on our end of the park as the other seemed to have some homeless people at the picnic benches, they seemed harmless, but I don't want to risk anything happening so we stayed on our end. There was a trail too along the canal there with a fence which was nice as you don't want the kids to run into it or fall in.

There's a space that looks like it's for Tennis but there's NO net. And there is a sign on the court that says: "Pétanque Courts". We came here to practice before my daughter's tennis tournament at Fresno State since it's only three minutes away. We're not from the area, and this was called Cary Park Tennis court. Do NOT come here expecting a tennis court. We had no extra time to find another place, so we just stayed here and had her warm-up as best she could. The plus side was the bathrooms were clean. We got here at 8:15 in the morning and it looked as if they'd just been cleaned. They are chained open.

Gettysburg Ave. It is situated between two tennis courts (that are adjacent to one another) and a skate park. The park sign says the hockey rink is open daily from 6am-10pm, but the Parks and Recreation individual opens the gate to the rink at 8am and closes up around 9pm. It's a large rink, a bit worn out, trash in some places, can use a bit of sweeping, minor cracks that disrupt stick handing a puck at times, and there are a few slick spots from liquid spills. Other than that, it has a smooth cement floor, two large heavy duty hockey goals with netting, painted lines, player's benches, and the lower half of the boards are white painted wood and the top half is metal fencing. There are also functionally bright lights to turn on when it gets dark.

I took my 6 year old niece here for a photo shoot when she was under a year for her first Valentines Day celebration so this park will always be so special to me as there were so many memories created here! Not much as changed when I came here when I was 13 years old as they have a play structure, tennis courts, basket ball court, baseball diamond and big grassy area too! The park is always clean and by a rail road tracks that's highly active. I believe two trains passed during our time here. My sister and I would reminisce how crazy we were back then as we climb the trains or go under them which was so dangerous!! The nieces loved this parked and enjoyed eating their meals there and then being able to play with the kids at the park. There were a lot of activities going on and families here enjoying getting out and having fun! Overall, I love coming to this park as it's so low key. Definitely recommend coming to this park if you are in the area not crowded and there's ample places to sit and relax or get up and exercise! The only negative I didn't like is that ALL dog owners took their dogs off the leash which made me feel uncomfortable but hopefully one day they will build a gated section for that.
