Of course, we were a little nervous leaving our pets (as I think any pet owner should be at first), but our worries were soon alleviated because she is such a great communicator and provided pictures and videos when asked. Our experience with Jenn was an exceptional one and I recommend her highly for anyone looking for pet boarding. We will always try her first when we need boarding from now on. Thank you, Jenn.

Never heard back from them and we were ready to adopt immediately. Both myself and my daughter…read morecalled, (the "are too busy to care for kitties AND answer the phone, so please send a text"), so we texted, created an account online (because they want to know you're "actually serious" about adopting before you can even MEET the cat you're considering adopting.) (I do understand and respect prioritizing the mental health of the cats, but I'm sure the cats, especially the adults, would prefer a compromise, like being required to fill out a one page form on the spot before meeting). Every serious adopter that goes into a pet store and sees one of this organization's animals that they are interested in adopting and is told they have to go through this and this and this step before they can even interact with the cat and know if the personality is a fit. Everyone loses out. In my experience, even if you do go through all the steps, they won't call you back, and a cat that could have had a home I know had that opportunity taken from them because of the seemingly righteous or superior attitude of the rescue people. They surely know how many people go in and out of those cat and kitten rooms at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter. Having a few people go in one at a time to meet one particular cat, I don't feel, is any more dangerous or unhealthy for the cat than them losing the opportunity to be adopted and eventually being put down. I just don't understand rescues like this. If you're too small to actually help, then let somebody else do it.

I had a beyond expectation experience with Mindy and her daughter, even though at the end I didn't…read morechoose to go with the adorable and sweet boys Teddy and Khabib they brought for me to meet and interact with. Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out. If you are also searching for your feline soulmate, please look no further!!

Where do I begin... We highly (extremely) recommend Valerie to ANYONE who LOVES their fur baby as…read moremuch as we LOVE our Buddy! If you are looking for a caring and responsible person who gives your baby all the attention and love you want them to have... a person who's actions can give you peace of mind and ease your guilt... Val is the right person! This was a huge decision for us to hire someone to come into our home (stay) and take care of our boy we were in Hawaii... and it was not taken lightly. This was a little scary and first for us! It was going to take a lot of trust in whoever we hire that they would take great care of our Buddy... but, also that we could trust them in our home while we were away. It was extremely important to us that Buddy was comfortable in HIS home feeling secure, safe, cared for, loved and not abandoned... this is exactly what Val gave us and Buddy! We did our research and read almost every review. Obviously, searched and read about many pet sitters but we kept going back to Val. We made arrangements to for Val to come over and meet our boy and us. Buddy is a little cautious around people, but Val was very warm, patient and engaging with Buddy and he warmed up right away. Val asked a lot of questions in regards to what Buddy's and our needs are... what were our expectations. It was a very comfortable meeting and we knew before she left that Valerie is who we wanted for our Buddy. It turned out to be the best decision we ever made in regards to Buddy's care. Val was very flexible and even came over early the day we left so we could all hangout together for a couple of hours prior to our leaving... that way Buddy wouldn't be anxious or feel abandoned. While we were gone Val would text me... sending us pictures and videos daily of Buddy. We could see by his actions and how he cuddled up next to Val... we could see how great our decision was. Val always encouraged us to text her and responded right away. Val kept daily track/records of Buddy's walks, his medication intake, his eating amounts and anything else she felt we might want to know. Buddy is 9 years old and this was the first vacation that we've taken without him that we didn't feel guilty and had total peace of mind. Obviously, Valerie is our girl when it comes to our precious Buddy... without hesitation. If you are in a similar situation and need a responsible person who will take great care of your fur baby... Val is who we recommend. But, keep in mind... her calendar fills up fast, especially for overnights. So, plan! Val, if you're reading this... thank you!

Good Fluffin' Grooming, a great fluffin deal!…read more What are the first two things you think about when you need to take your dogs to the groomer? It's so fluffin expensive and it's such a fluffin hassle. Am I right? We'll Good Fluffin Grooming came highly recommended by my fluffin dog trainer, John Somma of the Wood Street K-9 Social Club (he's wonderful, a true dog whisperer, if your dog needs training, absolutely give him a try). So I booked an appointment for my two dogs and brought them in today for their appointment. Let me say, the owner and staff are so fluffin nice and it was such a fluffin wonderful experience. Easy check in and when I came to pick them up when done a few hours later I was very apprehensive for what is typically the worst part of the experience. The fluffing bill. Well to my amazing surprise, the bill was approximately the same as my prior groomer's price for my one larger fluffin dog. And the job was fluffin amazing. I was so fluffin happy. I would bring my dogs back every fluffin time they need to be groomed and I fluffin highly recommend them. Great fluffin job Good Fluffin Grooming.
