I don't know yet but in all honesty, seeing those jagged faces on screen made me think about my own face and all the things I've done through the years to make it presentable. I had my very first facial here; I was considered a late bloomer because I had it at 27. It was partly due to financial straits and the fact that I thought I didn't need it. One year however, my skin decided to have a mind of its own and I had an the worst pimple outbreak imaginable. I think back then I was pining on a boy and of course having zits wouldn't make him want to be on my beck and call. So, I came to Belo and had a facial. My therapist back then was Ms. Ali Onrubia, a very nice lady who patiently pricked and cleaned every spot on my face until I looked normal again. I, being the sister who had more important matters to think of initially hesitated- I was broke at the time and the thought of paying thousands of pesos just to have someone tell me what I already know did not appeal to me. But in the end, the ate always wins. So, I went to Luna Dermatologica and had an assessment. Some observations: nice and clean clinic, no waiting time. My doctor was good looking (3 stars) and he told me that I shouldn't stop surfing just because of my skin. He gave me a prescription and I was out the door in 15 minutes. Another time I had my tiny skin tags in my face and neck. Only a few skin tags in my face and the doctor (supposedly) charged too much . They charged p3,500 for face and P4,500 for the neck, but was not even removed or cleaned up thoroughly. Ridiculous, trying to make money in an instant.

But on those occasions where an annoying zit comes up and I'm in dire need of a facial, I go to this clinic and consult with Dr. Nenita Manzano and they're able to fix my skin problems. I've been going to her clinic since I was an adolescent. It's so easy to self-medicate these days and give in to the latest beauty fads, but Dr. Manzano knows my skin history (I have skin asthma) and she helps me keep those skin problems at bay. The medications she gives me are very mild but very effective and doesn't irritate my skin unlike the usual facial products in the market. Dr. Manzano holds her clinic there on Wednesdays and some Fridays (because she also attends to her Quezon City and Bicol branches), but if you don't want to consult and just want a facial, the staff there are well equipped and knowledgeable too.
