I headed to Let's Face It, with the knowledge that they somehow always have technicians available for service. Lo and behold, there was indeed a technician available! I was brought to the common area, a bib was courteously attached to my neck, given a disposable towel, and shown the sink for washing my face. They even had two types of wash for both the liquid and the bar soap - for oily and normal skin. I was then escorted to a private room where the machine was. A few strokes after the lady started my diamond peel, she asked me if the intensity was fine or if it was painful. She then adjusted the intensity to make the sting bearable and continued-on. After the whole process, she gave me after-care reminders, which I found nice. For PhP500, I had a quick but very relaxing experience, and a brighter face to boot!

They answered every question honestly and thoroughly without sugar coating anything which I greatly appreciated. Dr. Marilou Yap-Tan was very gentle and conservative. During my consultation Dr. Marilou patiently discussed all of my questions and addressed my concerns. She made me feel comfortable and reviewed how she would address each issue. At the end of the consultation, she told me that, since cauterization would be very painful, I should try a home treatment first. She carefully wrote every step and included the prescription too. After seeing me, I was expecting a hefty sum to pay for the consultation. So, I was very surprised when her assistant told me that I only had to pay Php500. I've been going to her clinic since I was an adolescent. It's so easy to self-medicate these days and give in to the latest beauty fads, but Dr. Manzano knows my skin history (I have skin asthma) and she helps me keep those skin problems at bay. The medications she gives me are very mild but very effective and doesn't irritate my skin unlike the usual facial products in the market. Dr. Manzano holds her clinic there on Wednesdays and some Fridays (because she also attends to her Quezon City and Bicol branches), but if you don't want to consult and just want a facial, the staff there are well equipped and knowledgeable too. She's so sweet and she's such a perfectionist I completely trust her work and her opinions. The other staff members are just as great. Weng and the other ladies are always so friendly and polite. I don't know yet but in all honesty, seeing those jagged faces on screen made me think about my own face and all the things I've done through the years to make it presentable. I had my very first facial here; I was considered a late bloomer because I had it at 27. It was partly due to financial straits and the fact that I thought I didn't need it. One year however, my skin decided to have a mind of its own and I had an the worst pimple outbreak imaginable. I think back then I was pining on a boy and of course having zits wouldn't make him want to be on my beck and call. So, I came to Belo and had a facial. My therapist back then was Ms. Ali Onrubia, a very nice lady who patiently pricked and cleaned every spot on my face until I looked normal again.
