He told me what to do even though I'd already done what he said to do. Well to my surprise, he was absolutely right!!!! I called him back and told him he was right!!!! A older gentleman helped my aunt when she asked what she needed to make the pool clearer, as he was explaining and he asked questions but interrupted as soon as she was trying to understand. Then gave faces when asked again to clarify. Both younger women and older man gave an attitude. On May 3 I ordered a diving board from Leslie's. I was told that they had 5 in stock and it would be shipped out in two days. I just received it on May 30. I only ordered from Leslie's because all of the other suppliers on the internet said that there would be about a month wait due to different things going on in the industry, COVID, etc. Leslie's diving board was $200 more, but I thought it was worth it to get it sooner. I DIDN'T GET IT ANY SOONER! Leslie's out and out lied to me. If you need a diving board replacement, order it off the internet from one of the pool supply companies and save $200!!!! read more

On June 3rd I went into this store to purchase a leaf vacuum for my pool. The gal working there started a conversation with me about my pool and I explained the problem. My pool was green and had a lot of leaves in it. She recommended I drain my pool and start over. I had taken a water sample which she tested and the results were that I had too much conditioner and no chlorine in it. I mentioned I had a vinyl pool liner and wasn't sure I should completely drain it. She assured me it would be the best thing. She then sold me 2 bottles of conditioner that were $45 each. I didn't buy the leaf vacuum, nor did I buy any chlorine. She didn't even ask about whether or not I wanted chlorine. After I left, I called a couple of people who recommended I don't drain the pool so I purchased some other products from another store and was able to get the water blue again on my own. Since I no longer needed the conditioner, I took the 2 unopened bottles back for a refund. She said they dont do refunds. I didn't have a receipt because when she asked me if I wanted a receipt I said no. I showed her my bank statement showing the charge and she still would not refund my money. If a receipt is required, why do they ask if you want it? It should just automatically be given. No I'm out $90 and have product I will never use. I have now hired a pool service because I'm 61 years old and disabled so I thought I'd leave it up to professionals. I'm sorry, but I had proof of purchase even though it wasn't with the "optional" receipt. I will never do business with them again. read more

I have been a Leslie's Pool Supply customer for over 8 years. I have experienced different types of customer service at different locations, most of them being just "ok" customer service in the past years. After visiting the east side location a few times, I decided to go back to my closer location at Leslie's Pool Supplies, 3360 Stine Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93309 and it was under new management. I did not know what to expect, but was hoping for the best. Manager Daniel was there. I asked him a few questions about my pool, and he provided all required information to turn my pool clear and blue. I felt relieved because my pool was cleared within two days and I have always had issues keeping the algae gone. This is the first summer that I have not had algae in my pool and I have had a clear pool all summer long which has been a cost savings. I was so happy that I was hoping nothing could possibly go wrong. Then my Hayward Phoenix Suction 4-Wheel Drive Pool Cleaner goes out again. In the past, I would have had to leave my pool cleaner at Leslie's for one week before I received any contact indicating my pool cleaner was repaired, which would always make me very angry because I would have to manually vacuum my pool because Leslie's would take a long time to repair my pool cleaner. So I walked into Leslie's Pool Supply and Manager Daniel happened to be there and he explained to me that "it was the gears." He asked if I had time so he could fix it right then. I said "sure I have some time and that would be great." Manager Daniel fixed my pool cleaner within 15 minutes and I was on my way. While he was fixing my pool cleaner he was also answering questions and making sure everyone was receiving great customer services. I was so appreciative that I said "thank you" multiple times because I had never received this level of 5 star customer service at Leslie's before. Two months go by and my pool cleaner goes out again and I took it back and Manager Daniel diagnosed the problem and repaired the pool cleaner again in 15 minutes. Ever since the management change I have received 5 star customer service and I wanted to make sure I provided him a great review. If you need help with your pool, go see Manager Daniel!! (they were also very patient with my kids as they took things off the hooks and playing with pool items while I was seriously trying to figure out how to get our pool blue again) .... super friendly. First time visiting this Leslie's, although have used other Leslie's stores over many years. Was impressed with the knowledge of Vanessa. She knew what we were questioning and was able to show us our replacement equipment which she actually had in stock. So often these days, everything has to be ordered. Unfortunately, they do not carry some Pentair and BioGuard products we use; but otherwise would not hesitate to come back to this store. read more
