I had three implants and a bridge done at this office in 2021. Within a short time, all three implants failed--they became loose, infected, and ultimately had to be removed. I ended up paying $9,000 to repair the damage and another $7,000 to replace the bridge elsewhere. This has caused me not only financial strain but significant pain and stress. In my experience, the quality of care did not meet the standards I expected for such a major and costly procedure. I believe this place should function as a basic dental office--not one performing complex implant work. I would not recommend them for major restorative procedures. read more

I do not recommend this office! The dentist says that she is interested in the condition of your teeth, but in fact, she is only interested in your money! I had an implant and a crown procedure done, but it did not look or feel right. After work was done on the crown, the tooth above it began to stagger, and the implant broke in less than 6 months. I made several attempts to speak to the dentist, either the staff did not pass the message, or the dentist was ignoring the requests. Eventually I spoke with her, she stated that the procedure was done correctly, and she offered lab use to my new dentist to repair the work. But previously this lab did very poor job. I received zero compensation for a procedure that cost $3000 and lasted less than half a year. read more

This year alone I've visited Cranston Cosmetic Dentistry four times, with two more scheduled visits. Between my teeth cleaning and having almost all of my very old fillings replaced with new ones (over several different visits), I have been spending quite a bit of time with the staff here. From the moment you walk in, the receptionist (or concierge) is there to check you in and offer a variety of refreshments that are always nearby if you need a snack or a drink. I've had both Dr. Prasad and Dr. Shanthi replace my fillings and both of them have been professional, friendly, and understanding. I recently had an appointment to replace some fillings when I had a cold, which was a really unfortunate experience, and although I should've rescheduled, I didn't want to cancel last minute. Dr. Shanthi was so patient with me, even though I'm sure I was a difficult case. I needed to pause SO many times and really slowed down the process, but both she and the assistant were really sympathetic and made me feel a lot better about difficult experience. I am very pleased with my service at Cranston Cosmetic Dentistry. Between all of my past visits and the planned ones in the future, I know that my teeth are in good hands! read more

Before the doctor sold the business, I would have given this place 5 stars. Since he retired and his staff left with him, I would rate it ZERO stars. Since this female dentist has taken over it has been horrid. Her staff and clients hate her. She has no bedside manner or idea of customer service whatsoever. She is extremely rude. She insulted both mine and my husband's teeth. NO WAY was I going to let her near my children. I had a crown done and the crown looked broken. She would not redo the crown. She complained that I had bad teeth and worn teeth so what was one more bad looking tooth in my mouth. I am out $800 and I have this really horrible looking crown in the front of my mouth. I hate this woman with a passion for not only that but continually insulting my husband. We are nice, reasonable people. She is just not a person you want to deal with at all. Stay away! Your teeth will fall out! Les Prasad sold the practice and doesn't honor any of his commitments as promised. He said as long as he was around (which he is, still working part-time) he would take care of any of his work; sounds like a warranty to me! I tried to confront him by making a 10:00 appointment and he walked past me like he had to go somewhere (probably saw my name on the schedule).....then the new woman walked in late, probably to cover for him because he didn't want to see me. Very unprofessional and no integrity to not honor his bad work (i.e., over 10 incidents of veneers falling off - one on New Year's Eve.). No system to deal with a crisis! Stay away! I just lost ANOTHER crown from a root canal - the tooth rotted out underneath because it was not done properly so the tooth decayed. Now I have to have the tooth pulled and have an implant - thanks doc! Money is more important than people and the woman he sold the practice to is, even more, bottom-line focused. People do not seem to be a priority. I had multiple veneers fall off and she did some really cheap, quick cement jobs that fell off immediately. She won't come in if you have an issue - she'll tell you she won't be in until a certain day. Customer service is not a priority. You'll be stuck with your problems until it suits her schedule. Go to Cranston Dental Associates! They are professional, send out emails to know your experience post-visit, and they treat you like a human being. They are not phonies trying to get your money while talking sweet and putting on a superficial act that they are interested in you. read more

This place used to be excellent. The staff tells me that it us now owned by someone else. Absolutely awful. Sad.

For cleanings and minor issues, most dentists receive a 4 or 5 rating. For cosmetic work, however, the difference between a good or a bad dentist is in the small, minor details. The work looked good at first but veneers started coming off very quickly. Dr. Prasad backed his work before he 'retired' (he works part-time and says he's retired) and sold the practice, he no longer backs his work. His rationale is that he sold the practice. OK, but he's still there and can easily fix the problems HE CREATED. Nope. The new owner will not back anything. She's superficially nice but customer experience and satisfaction is not a priority based on my experiences and conversations (in my opinion). Go anywhere for cosmetic or other major work. If you need cleaning it's a good place. read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Prasad and his staff . The customer service is always top notch and the facility itself is immaculate and beautiful . I actually look forward to my appointments and Dr. Prasad is great at what he does . Karla the hygienist is a sweet heart and you can tell she is passionate about her job and the patients . Laura the receptionist is a doll and is always so friendly and professional . I am so happy to have found this practice ! read more

I highly recommend Cranston Cosmetic Dentistry.. My first visit was a cleaning and was very pleased with the thoroughness of the visit.. Karla the hygienist did a great job .. I had no pain during the cleaning and she made me feel very comfortable .. Recently I was experiencing tooth pain and went back to have Dr.Lakhkar,DMD take a look ..I didn't have an appointment and she saw me right away took an X-ray and determined I had an abscess in a root canal tooth.. I was in a lot of pain but she said before extracting she sent me to an endodontist to make sure the tooth could not be saved.. I was seen the next day by the endodontist and it was determined extraction was the best option.. I was hesitant to have a new dentist pull my tooth and prepare it for an implant as my former dentist retired.. But Dr. Lakhkar fit me in the next day and did the tooth extraction .. She did an excellent job.. I didn't feel any pain ..and her bedside manner is impeccable as to making me feel comfortable .. along with her staff ..one in which held my hand during the needle part.. the office is spotless and has huge windows to allow sunshine and scenery to view while having the work done as well as a tv.. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lakhkar and her amazing staff.. If you need a dentist go to Cranston Cosmetic Dentistry . You won't be disappointed .. read more

If I could give this office NO STARS I would. They messed up my teeth and it's been few years and I am still trying to fix them. Everyone in the office is fake, they worry too much about the look then the actual dental work itself. Presad needs to worry about fixing teeth then telling people your back teeth need to look like your front teeth. Basically saying let me change all your fillings. My back teeth will never look like my front teeth because they are for different purposes. The back is for chewing and is used more. Ugh cannot stand his high tech looking office that messed up my teeth. There is another dentist that worked with him I think he is also Indian he shouldn't get his license at all and has no idea what he is doing besides messing up mine and other peoples teeth. The pain and suffering I went through after they were done with my teeth was so horrible that no one should go through what I went through. Go to a different dentist that doesn't want to look like their office is in Beverly Hills but doesn't deliver quality. Go to someone who actually cares about their work and their patients! read more

Dr. Prasad and his staff are top notch! Everyone there is so knowledgeable and I am so happy to have met such a professional and caring dentist. I have always had such a fear of going to the dentist, but Dr. Prasad and his staff have helped me overcome this. The staff is so friendly and Karla is so gentle when cleaning the teeth and she also has a way of keeping a great conversation with you that you actually enjoy your time there! I found Dr. Presad because I need a sleep apnea mouth piece. I was blown away by the practice in every way. I mean blown away. My first question as I was scheduling my next visit for the guard was so they do regular dentistry. When I was told yes I was extatic. I immediately made an appt. I was hoping my service on that end it would be at least almost as good and again my wishes were met and exceeded. The place is clean, staff is extremely friendly. They make you feel like you are the most important patient they have. I was telling my wife about them and the best way I could get her to understand was to say they feel like a concierge dentist to the wealthy but they give that service level of service to everyone. Dr. Prasad is not only the nicest and best dentist I have ever had but one of the best and niciest Dr's I have ever had. Laura is one of the staff members and is extremely friendly and sweet. She engages with you and makes you feel welcome along with her services at the front of house, she also dose cosmetic whitening at the back. I had never had it done but I was interested so I decided to try it. I was an ex cig smoke and I drink coffee and smoke cigars. She did not blow smoke up my butt. She told me what exactly to expect. I was not going to go brilliant white because of the years and color etc. but it would get a lot better and it did. She explained the process up front and again as we went along. When I had a question any time during the process, even if I felt it was dumb she never made it seem like she felt it was. I just can't rave about them enough. I tell everyone I know. read more

Let's face it, no one enjoys a trip to the dentist, but when it's time to go you might as well go where you feel comfortable, and surrounded by extremely competent professionals. Dr. Prasad and team are the best... When Karla gets through cleaning your teeth, you not only have that clean feeling, but also know that a professional has checked the entire mouth, looking for anything that could be a problem down the road. If you do need work, or want a cosmetic change Dr. Prasad is the best. You will be pleasantly surprised that Dr. Prasad is not the, "every tooth needs a filling" type doctor. He lays out a plan for you, and it's up to you whether you want the work done. He becomes a trusted doctor and a good friend, Dr. Prasad also has a great assistant, so your never without a dental professional. Laura, the office manager makes you very comfortable and greets you with a great smile.
