This unusual place has been open about twenty years and occupies the ground floor of a house in the middle of a terrace on Park Road in Crouch End and is straddled by identical houses that are used residentially.
From their almost pythonesque accents, the staff would all appear to be French. The decor is a little tired and the toilets are somewhat sad which all adds to the genuine France away from France ambience.

My friend reported that her duck was marvelous, the conversation then drifted back to food and she told me that her salade de canard de l automme was very nice. My entrecote was pleasant if unspectacular but it washed down well with a very drinkable bottle of Bergerac.
As I said, it's an unusual place this, I wouldn't make a trip here just for the restaurant, it seems quite popular with people I assume are locals, unsurpising as it is fine faire. Personally, I'd have to be in the area for another reason, but if I was, then this place would be on my eats list. read more
