Gosh, I didn't know what I was missing. This is a true IYKYK! Once you have visited Horrocks, you will return for life. This is a magnificent, rustic, unique, expansive establishment that offers a cornucopia of items. From floral, to meats, cheeses, wine, speciality items, fruits, snacks, vegetables, hard-to-find items and more. There is so much more! Things that stood out even though I loved everything about this place: -the vast selection of canisters of olive oils -the vast array of different varieties of balsamic vinegars (amazing!) -house made items in every area -house made popcorn with so many flavors, so fresh. -the many, many homemade soups: probably around 20 different kinds and delicious. -a ramen bar, what? -bakery -pizzeria -exotic fruits and vegetables and regulars ones too -the wine bar: sip while you shop. -house-made sausages and cheeses -house-made jams, jellies, local honey -extensive variety of spices, herbs, flour and grains - great service, very helpful. I recommend you set aside two hours to explore. I'm serious. They have a bar that also includes non-alcoholic beverages and the shopping carts include a cup holder. Where to start though? Fruits, vegetables, soup bar, cheese galore, huge candy bar with Michigan fudge... Lots of frozen meats and vegetable packs, a chilled dairy room, fresh sausages. Oh, the COFFEE and the OIL section?! Yes, you can taste the different oil flavors. And you can and will find the coffee that suits any taste. I make a 1.5 hour drive to go here every now and then, and it's always worth it. Bring reusable bags to keep your frozen food cold. And don't step in the plant section unless you want to come home with some flowers or a pretty plant, it's too tempting! I'm not saying anymore. Which is highly embarrassing as is when a worker is making a giant fuss over something that didn't even happen. We have been going to this Meijer since November of last year with no problems until today. Maybe the Meijer employees should check their cameras before accusing someone of stealing? Because he clearly went though the check to PAY for the water refill. Just a thought. Will not be going back to this Meijer.

Square blocks for ground beef, rather than the tube I'm used to from other places, is ingenious for fitting into my freezer. Finally, the meat is tasty and I've never had a better price. We will definitely be back for our next bulk meat order.

It is often very busy especially during summer months and so the prices tend to stay about the same. Staff is always friendly. When ever I've gone in there they go out of their way to help you and make sure that you feel like you're part of their family. In the fair town of Greenville, there lies a Walmart Super Center, reasonably clean and well-kept. Yet, alas, my cart did make an annoying clicking sound, though I chose it over the one with the squeaky wheel. The shelves were mostly well-stocked, save for the cereal aisle, which appeared sparse and wanting. But lo, the most grievous matter was upon a Saturday afternoon, when but one cashier manned the tills. At the shift's change, the competent cashier was replaced by one who neither spoke nor separated soft and hard groceries. Verily, I do not frequent this Walmart often, as I dwell outside the city. Lunch options, dinner options, snacks...it's all available there! Lastly the dog treats, they are homemade and brought in by the baker/owner of the small local business on a regular basis. Several items in the store are sourced locally and the prices are comparable to other stores, maybe a little more for specialty items. All team members encountered are willing to help and answer questions and everyone was smiling and in a genuine good mood. Rare!
